The company cancelled. This company called me several days after I committed to say that they only work on the north side of Chicago. I live near the University of Chicago on the south side, in an upscale neighborhood that has an architectural landmark designation . And since I work on the north side of Chicago, I know it's about a 20 min drive. I believe fhis company chose to discriminate based on unfounded stereotypes.

"The customer did buy painter for a day deal over the Angie'[Member Information Removed] List store front. I called same day to apologize because she was outside our coverage area and tell her the full refund will be done by Angie'[Member Information Removed] List no problem. Customer just hang up on me I couldn't even finish "This is what you get for been nice"."

It went very well - They did an excellent job and we were pleased with the work that was done. They were a professional, punctual, pleasant and courteous crew. After the job started, we expanded the scope of the project several times. We were able to get prompt estimates for the additional work we wanted and the work proceeded without delay. Jiri was always polite and responsive and we were pleased with his crew. We would use this company again and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Jiri's group is the best! Jiri was there initially the first day with his 2 painters, to make sure that all was in order. The work was done in exactly the amount of time they said it would take. The quality was excellent. There was a small area that needed a little additional touch up, I dropped a note to Jiri - a painter was there the next day to take care of it.

The owner was thorough, thoughtful and reliable. The workers worked hard all day long, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., 5 and sometimes 6 days per week. Their lunch breaks were barely perceivable. They were unfailingly gracious and willing to help, and clearly highly skilled at their work. When they encountered challenges they responded with intelligence and calm. The result is the house is gorgeous. It was a big job, but it was worth every penny.

Jiri and his team were such a pleasure to work with. I reached out to him for an estimate at the last minute and he was able to squeeze me in at a short notice without a problem, then scheduled our paint job for the following 2 weekends. He was very prompt at responding to all my emails with questions, came on site each time his guys came to paint, made sure everything went well and was very thorough and clean. His painters were very pleasant to work with, easy to direct, and did a fantastic job. So happy with how everything turned out, I will definitely hire again for any future work.

(Cross posted on Yelp too - I wanted to make sure Jiri and his team get the credit they deserve!!) Jiri and his team did a great job painting the interior of a bungalow we just bought in Chicago. From the initial quoting process with Jiri, to the final cleanup by the team, everything was done professionally and on time. It was a tough job because there was wallpaper in the living room, dining room, and foyer which had to be removed, and then all the plaster walls needed extensive patching and repair. Jésus was the main worker, and he was always kind and willing to answer questions whenever I stopped by to see the progress. Jiri was very communicative throughout the process which made everything easy. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

I was very pleased with Jiri and his painters. Jiri was very responsive during both the bid process and the actual painting. He was flexible with coming out to do an estimate, and he was readily available while the painters were actually at our house. We are very pleased with how the painting came out. Everything looks great. The painters were professional and cleaned up after themselves well. The price wasn't the lowest that we saw, but wasn't the highest either. It seemed reasonable for the amount of work. I wouldn't hesitate to use North Shore again.
