My Moving Liaison

Michele was kind in her assessment of my choices, complimentary of my design aesthetic in a sincere way, always prompt or called if traffic or another appointment delayed her. Most importantly, I am very happy with the results as the gallery walls and shelving areas look great. She brought a handyman to help hang a large piece of artwork and shelving, and he was also easy to work with, knowledgeable and quick. The costs added up a bit towards the end, but because of delivery problems from a vendor, she had to come out to the Northwest Suburbs from Chicago 4 times. First time, to assess my project, was free! I would hire her again and highly recommend her.

Michele assisted me in my move from the suburbs to the city. She helped me decide what to keep and what to get rid of and found places that would take donations of the furniture I didn't keep. She is an amazingly organized and efficient packer; I was glad I used her assistance instead of paying movers to pack. I used a lot fewer boxes and less paper. She is a tireless worker and very efficient. On the day of the move, she was waiting at my new place and by the end of the day had my entire kitchen unpacked and organized. The next day she was back and by the end of the day, all the boxes were emptied, bundled up and ready for recycling. The biggest bonus was the final day, when she helped me hang all my pictures. She styled several gallery walls for me and by the end of the day she had hung about fifty pictures. I have gotten many compliments since then and only two days after moving in, I felt right at home. She was worth every penny!

The staging went so well that our real estate agent referred Michele to another client. Also, prospective buyers commented positively about the condo. 

Michele is wonderful to work with. She has an easy-going personality. She is flexible and responsive to stated budget and goals. She has a great eye for color and style. She worked with my husband and me by using majority of our existing furniture as well as suggested and selected paint colors for our kitchen walls and bathroom walls and vanity. She helped transform an ugly, old-fashioned wooden bathroom vanity by suggesting that we paint it with chalk paint. It was the perfect solution to create a velvety look on the vanity.
 
Michele contacted the rental furniture company and selected the furniture to go with the mid-century vibe that we wanted in our formal living room and casual family/media room. We trusted Michele's expertise but she still posted the photos of the furniture on Pinterest so we wouldn't be surprised when the they arrived.

While we were away, she worked and let the carpet cleaners into our condo. She even painted an exterior window and door trim during the last hour. She charges by the hour and itemized her time and additional purchases she made on our behalf. She will work as much or as little as you want her to. For us, we wanted someone who would handle from beginning to end of the project with minimal input from us.  All together, Michele staged three bedrooms, 2.1 bathrooms, and three additional rooms and rear porch in our condo for about $1800. Rental and purchased furniture were additional.
