About us

As one of the leading ventilation system experts, we provide air duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning, for both residential and commercial property types. We also provide HVAC services for residential properties. Founded in 2002 from a small office in Naperville, IL, Mr. Duct was born with a singular mission in mind: to improve the indoor air quality for the Greater Chicagoland community. Committed to doing so with both integrity and quality, owner Keith Thompson quickly hired his first three employees and gained NADCA certification—the industry’s most thorough set of standards for HVAC inspection, cleaning and restoration services. After answering the call to improve thousands of homes and businesses’ indoor air quality, Mr. Duct experienced explosive growth: first relocating to a larger office in Lisle, IL and then establishing seven additional offices to ensure outstanding service for both Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Air Duct Cleaning
They cleaned the vents and showed us pictures afterward, which looked promising. Our vents were in better shape than we thought, but we were still glad we had them cleaned. Added the dryer vent once they arrived, and they went on the roof and said they cleaned it, charged us an extra $89 for it, which was fine. Our HOA had all the dryer vents cleaned the next day, unbeknownst to us. The contractor blew out a lot of debris and said it hadn't been touched. That surprised us, cuz stuff was flying everywhere, but we contacted the company and they issued a prompt refund.

5 Stars – Sergio is a Pro (and a Chipmunk Hero!) Sergio from Mr. Duct Cleaning did an absolutely phenomenal job at our home. From start to finish, he was courteous, professional, and extremely thorough. He took his time to explain the process, made sure everything was spotless, and even showed us before-and-after photos of the vent buildup — it was clear he takes pride in doing quality work. But what truly stood out was his attitude and calmness under pressure — and I mean real pressure. While airing out the basement, a chipmunk unexpectedly sprinted inside. It could’ve turned into chaos, but Sergio jumped into action (literally), chasing the little guy all through the house. After a surprisingly long and hilarious chase, he managed to catch it and safely release it outside — all with a smile. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated, hardworking, and good-natured. Sergio didn’t just clean our vents — he went above and beyond in every way. We are so thankful he was assigned to our home.
