They called to say they were were going to be late. We thought that might happen, so it was not that unsettling. When they arrived, One of them walked around with me while the other one unloaded the equipment. They do use a large, loud engine to create a negative pressure system. It is outside. They filmed a few of the openings for me before and after. They do punch holes in the ductwork in a few places. It is covered up just fine though. They left the house, openings and floor cleaner than when they got there. We never had it done before, but we do notice the house is much more comfortable this year than the other years, My allergies seem to too be better this year as well. Not sure if we are saving money on our gas bill. It is less, but I do not remember last years NatGas prices.

Mr. Duct gave a thorough quote over the phone and emailed the written quote shortly after, ensuring that there would be no add-ons on the day of the cleaning. They followed up with me about a week after my initial contact and offered an additional amount off the original quote. They were able to come the next day, and came well within the time frame given. Both workers were excellent, knowledgeable and friendly, and routinely called me over to explain what they were doing and show me the before and after. I was told on the phone that there would be video and I could see a before/after shot, but that didn't happen. That's my only disappointment.

They did a good but it was a bit overpriced.

I've never had ducts cleaned before so don't have much to compare it to. But they showed up on time, were very professional and did a thorough job. In addition to vacuuming the ducts, they removed all the vent covers in the house, vacuumed the vent area, rinsed and replaced the covers, and then vacuumed any debris from the floor. The air quality in our house does seem to have improved since the cleaning. Note that this is a very loud process and takes a while. Don't schedule it on a day when you were hoping for peace and quiet!

Extremely happy with the service and professionalism of the crew. They use advanced equipment to suction, clean and remove dirt that does not soil the house or put dust in the air.

The men arrived right on time, they did a very good job and cleaned up after the work very well. I really liked the viewing camera they had so that we could inspect the work done before they left.

Excellent. Highly recommend this company. Mario and his partner were excellent. They were professional, knowledgeable, courteous, punctual - and patient with my questions. If you've never had duct cleaning done before, definitely go to their website to set your expectations. They cut a circular hole into your trunk lines in order to suck air from your ducts out of your house. The big hose needs to go from your trunk lines out of the house - either through your door or a nearby window. Your door/window will be open for hours. They also cut small holes to get the viper cleaner into your ducts. All holes are perfectly patched up. It's no big deal, but I had read a few reviews before doing this and some people were shocked. It's a great process they use and it works. We can tell the difference.

The technician was very professional and friendly. They used a camera to show me how dirty the vents were before they were cleaned....and then showed me the same vent after cleaning. I was very pleased and would definitely use again.

Recently purchased 21 year old home. After arranging service with Mr Air Duct, crew arrived on time to start job. I was very concerned there would be dust everywhere after the cleaning. They went over the entire process with me. They explained to me what they were going to do. The set up was quick and neat. They covered any floor surfaces before running a hose throughout my house. They were able to show me live pictures of inside my vents before and after cleaning. The vents really needing cleaning. I am very pleased with the results and one added benefit was that my whole house seems to smell fresher, cleaner since the cleaning. They also cleaned my dryer vent. That fortunately was pretty clean but they redid it while they were there. There was no mess for me to clean up additionally after the cleaning. I would definitely use this service again.

I kept track of the dust curls growth in the return duct and the quickness that the house became dustier between vacuuming. I needed to make the choice of service company and turned to Angie's list for duct cleaners. Once of the best rated and reported on with dozens of reviews was Mr. Duct in nearby Lisle, IL. Reading through the reviews convinced me so I called for an appointment. There was no rapport with any of the schedulers and the head scheduler was very brusque and short with me. With regard to the appointment, I requested a specific time for the arrival and stated clearly there is disabled elderly family that has specific scheduled care needs. I also mentioned there were indoor only family pets to consider. They confirmed the service time was 10:30 to 12:30 on my chosen day & said not to worry about the pets as the tech could work with their comfort in mind. Well, the appointment day arrived and nobody showed at 10:30, so I called and was told an earful. I thought I had a targeted arrival time and was sure of it, but in reality all I had was a window. I tried to get the head scheduler to acknowledge what details I had provided and they said there were no such notes. Also, one scheduler said they told me there would be a notification call 30 minutes before arriving. On yet another call in, one of the schedulers said that since they were running so late they would offer an additional 10% discount. So, when the service tech finally showed he was very grimy and had obviously worked quite h****** the prior service call. He briefly explained what he planned to do after getting a tour to locate the vent openings and viewing the HVAC unit. I asked for one room done first to better ensure the safety of the pets and the privacy of my disabled family. I was then told he would not get to that first and he proceeded to do as he chose. He wanted to cut holes in my vents for attaching his large hose tubing, opening windows to bring in the other tubing there and all of this I did not permit. The whole effort was frightening the bejesus out of my pets, plus the huge racket and entirely thrown schedule was traumatizing my disabled senior family. My front door was wide open, the back door was propped ajar, bugs were fling in and out, marks were showing up on the floors and walls and I was seriously unhappy. When the tech finally was done, he offered to show the videos of the vents before and after, but I did not care to see something I already knew about. I cared even less for his ignoring my requests and voiced concerns. I was slightly relieved that he was done and happier still when I saw the garage door close him out of sight. Based upon all of the foregoing, I would not subject myself to that type of poor, hap-hazard service and broken communication again. Do I think the vents were cleaned well? The house smells of almost no dust, so maybe. Do I think I had the ?professional job? I paid for? Not really.

First off, I have to say that Mr. Duct was extremely flexible with us. We had to reschedule our appointment twice because of storms in the area and we didn't have any power for several days. They were so nice about it even though I didn't call until the night before our appointments hoping the power would come back on. After canceling the second time, I told them I would just call back when I had a definite time that would work, because I felt bad canceling so many times. That Friday, I was going to call them to see if they had any openings for the next day, and before I could call, they called me and asked if Saturday would work for us, since they had a crew in the area. I told them I was going to call and ask about that anyway, and they still offered us a discount of $25 on top of our Angie's List coupon for the short notice. So nice! The crew came out and arrived a little early. They got right to work, and that was a good thing, because apparently our house was pretty bad. It took them the full two hour time slot, plus a little more, to get everything cleaned out properly. When they got to the furnace blower, they were very upfront with us about it's condition - it was so clogged that if they left it, it would burn out soon. However, if they cleaned it, we ran the same risk because of it suddenly being able to spin so fast. We had only been living in the house for about two weeks, so it was disappointing to hear that, but we were glad they were upfront with us about the condition of the blower. They also pointed out a bad duct we had leading to our kitchen, which they showed us was very haphazardly put together and didn't even work. They took their time and were very considerate of our belongings, space, and pets. They did an excellent job and our house smells sooo much better now. They put everything back just as they found it and made sure all our registers were screwed back in, as we have wall registers, not floor ones. They were very clean and considerate. They also took the time to check our dryer vent, even though I didn't ask for this in advance and just when they arrived. We were very happy with our experience with Mr. Duct. We would definitely use them again!

We moved into a new home and discovered that the builder did not cover open outlets and ducts during the construction process. Dust and dirt was blowing out of the registers and the builder did not respond to us. I called Mr. Duct and spoke immediately with a live person. Evelyn was an A+ in demeanor, professionalism and knowledge. It was the kind of conversation you hope to have when you call any company but rarely receive. The crew arrived exactly as promised, they were professional in every way. The job was completed in the time frame given and I am very pleased. I am having more and more of these experiences since I began using Angies list, what a breath of fresh air.

Mr. Duct completed the work in a very professional manner and left everything clean and everything was moved and placed back properly. The two technicians were very courteous and cleaned up after the work very well. They showed the pictures of the ducts before and after and it was clearly very clean. They were very thorough in locating each vent in the house. There were no additional charges of any kind. The charge quoted over the phone was what we paid. I would definitely recommend them.

They were not thorough and only partially cleaned the system. A big mistake they made was leaving the registers open before cleaning the system.

After receiving the estimate which was lower than similar companies (and thanks to the Angie's List coupon) they cleaned our dryer duct in about 30 mins. I asked how often I should get the ducts cleaned and they showed me how to test our ducts and it may be every two years or so. I would definitely contact them again. They were very clean and efficient.

The night prior we contacted Mr. Duct via email for their services, by 8:40am the next day we received a call from Lisa as she set the stage for "true professionalism" by explaining in detail the process of services to be performed, the time and finally the quote. After discussing the incidentals I immediately asked to be scheduled for an appointment... I assumed they'd have an opening for the following week or two due to the excellent reviews they'd received, but with some luck they had a last minute cancellation today so as you can tell by reading this review, it all happened in less the 24 hours! Wait! I'm not done.......... we received a call from command central that their tech was on his way. Charles arrived at our home, and after our brief introduction he immediately asked to assess the task at hand. I introduced him to our twin HVAC units that services two floors @ 3800 sq. After their introduction he explained his process.... verbatim.... exactly as Lisa had mentioned and with that he asked if I had any questions or concerns of my own... as a matter of fact, yes I do! My one concern was that Charles had to perform this task alone and in the alloted time starting in the middle of the day... my concerns was quickly laid to rest as I witnessed him move throughout our home with the speed and grace of synchronized swimming.... I know I'm pushing it but he did move about as if there was two of them. He zig-zagged through the network of sheet metal, from room to room through every vent leaving no stone unturned or in this case, no "Return" unclogged. He showed me Live*** Before and After imaging of our duct work, did a thorough cleaning upon completion of the job and hauled away all that yuk! and boy, was it yucky! THANK YOU! Professionalism at it's best! Provided excellent knowledge and skill, highly capable of performing job to your expectations...or beyond! Highly Recommended!! Staff was very Respectful & Professional. and best of all, they did what said they would, no "Nickel & Dime" tactics either! Hey, we would've paid more for the amount of service we received! Our Air Duct technicians, George and Cameron, were 20 minutes early on the job, which I thought was great! They did a thorough job of cleaning all of our ducts and dryer vent. We recently purchased a home built in the early 70's and assume the home's vents had never been cleaned before. I had to leave the home for awhile and appreciated that Cameron took photos to show me the before and after. Once I returned the guys also used a video camera and asked me to pick any vents I wanted and they would show me the clean duct work. It was satisfying to see the duct work clean and free of debris. Also, our dryer vent was a HUGE fire hazard as the duct work was severely clogged. George showed me the before and after for that vent as well. I will hire this company in the future. Also, I spoke with Mark (in the office) several times, b/c I always have a ton of questions...Mark answered them all and even advised me of certain questions to ask other companies if I decided to call for other estimates. I appreciated that there were NO scare tactics involved during the process, all my questions were answered, and the price I was quoted over the phone was the same price I paid today.

Excellent. The final price was exactly what i was quoted over the phone. I was given a 2 hour time window for their arrival & they were actually running ahead of schedule so someone called & asked if they could arrive an hour early (which worked out really well for me). They explained the entire process to me, set up & completed the job within 3 hours. They showed me a before/after on the video camera so i could see that the ducts were completely clean. We have a very old home & it looked as though the air ducts had never been cleaned before. Some of the really old vents had been painted & sealed in so the guys explained to me ahead of time that they would need to use a razor to to cut around the edges to get them open but that they would be as careful as possible to not chip the paint (considering the vents had been sealed for many many many years with several layers of paint - they did a very good job). They cleaned up after themselves when the job was done & other than the clean air, I couldn't even tell they'd been there at all! Overall a great experience - i would absolutely hire them again.
