I'm surprised by the number of positive reviews as I had the opposite experience! I had an appointment with an estimate- 11 am. They didn't arrive until almost noon (apparently 11am was a window till noon?!), after I called to see where they were, as I took time off work to meet them at the house. At first the company told me I had the wrong day, but then realized they were confusing me with someone else. When the estimator arrived, he didn't get up on a ladder to properly evaluate the leak, and gave me a verbal estimate of what it would take to repair it. I asked for the bid in writing but never received it. When I called the company for the estimate 3 weeks later, they told me they were "swamped" and didn't want to take my project. I wish they could have been upfront with me from the get-go, as I wouldn't have waited 3 weeks for their bid and would have hired someone else. I guess a $2300 1 day project isn't worth their time, and the fact that I have an active leak doing damage means nothing. For the record, another company I had out for a bid did get up on a ladder and told me a different cause of the leak than this company- I don't know who to believe or trust at this point, but given the lack of professionalism, or basic common courtesy, I have a feeling it isn't this company!

Excellent - quick, fair price, high quality service. Roof has 3-yr guarantee - we are only a week in but John the owner is a straight shooter and we believe he will stand behind his work.

The job went extremely smoothly, the roof looks great, and it was done right. The crew did a great job and were quick to clean up the site after the work was completed. They were always quick to respond to communications and were very proactive in keeping in touch since we had to work around some rainy weather. The bid I got was right in line with some others I had received but I wanted to work with Logan Square because they were so quick to get me a quote and always picked up the phone when I called (something that is not a guarantee with contractors...). I really appreciated how up front and honest these guys are. I even got some good candid advice from them on some other projects I've been considering tackling around the house (what needs to be done now, what can wait, etc...). I have already recommended Logan Square Roofing to my friends.

Wow. John totally rocks. My remodeling contractor couldn't do the restoration. I called John on Tuesday and he was able to schedule the restoration the day after the chimney work (Thursday). The came on time, worked with me, kept me informed and did exemplary work quickly and efficiently. Check out the before and after pictures......it is amazing!

Based on Angie’s list ratings, I approached Logan Square Roofing to fix a flat garage roof on a rental building. Logan Square Roofing suggested a modified bitumen roof system. They installed that system, replacing water-damaged wood under the old roof, added a new gutter, did spot tuckpoint on the brick garage walls and capped an old chimney. They also installed a chimney cap on the main building and tuckpointed a long expansion gap in the gray stone building front. Total cost was $4,900. Later I received an electric bill that was three times higher than it should have been. When the workers tripped the building’s outside electrical circuit they hadn’t realized that gutter heat wires (an electrical hog) for the building were on those circuits. John Santre from Logan Square reimbursed me for the extra electrical cost. I was so pleased with the work that I had Logan Square Roofing bid on roofing and tuckpointing projects at another rental building and at my home and garage. The rental building roof had been replaced five years ago but there was water under the roofing that could be easily “squished” on one side of the roof and badly deteriorated parapets. I was lucky there had been no water damage to the apartment below. Logan Square replaced the roof and rebuilt the parapet walls. The project manager kept me apprised of what they were doing and why. For these three projects, I chose a roof system that carries a 25-year warranty on materials and 10 years on labor, with periodic inspections included. I have no doubt that Logan Square will comply with all these written guarantees.

John & his crew came out on a Sunday & removed all the snow. They then made some repairs to the roof. My Insurance Company made us stop...so that they could inspect. Well...Insurance adjusters couldn't inspect until temp. was 45 degrees for at least 10 days straight (per our coverage). Well, John gave us a quote & I told him we couldn't act. Seven months later I told him that Insurance will not cover roof repair. Well, John stuck by his quote and finished all repairs in a day and a half. We could not be happier with their work. I would hire them again anytime.

Knowing that we were trying to beat the first snow, John scheduled maintenance of our condo roof quickly, and his team braved cold temperatures to do the work. After cleaning off the roof debris, they sealed all gaps that were letting moisture under the roof membrane and then coated the roof with an aluminum roof coating. The work was thorough, done in one day, and they completely cleaned up afterwards. John and his team have helped our HOA with multiple projects, and we've always been pleased with the results.

John was extremely responsive when I called, scheduling the condo repairs within a few days and prior to the next predicted rainfall. His team was very thorough in addressing all visible cracks and applying a thick layer of waterproofing to the interior parapet walls of our condo roof. In addition, he and his team highlighted multiple places where water was leaking through the roof's membrane, and John explained how moisture had damaged the underlying roof structure over time, which was extremely helpful to understand. He provided a quote to address the immediate concerns, as I requested. I've used John and his team for multiple repairs and would definitely recommend him and his company to others. They're fairly priced and do great quality work.

John scheduled time within a day for he and his team to look over the ceiling damage and help me track down the cause of the leak. They caulked the gaps around the building scupper boxes as well as several cracks that were especially large. In addition, they highlighted other maintenance that needed to be addressed on the condo building roof to prevent further problems. I'd definitely recommend them to others.

John was great -- he was very quick to respond when I reached out, and offered to come out and take a look at what was happening with our chimney and roof the same day since he was finishing a job in the same area and also knew the forecast was calling for rain which would potentially exacerbate the issue we were experiencing. He got up on our roof and did a full inspection, and provided pictures of everything he noticed that needed to be repaired. He was extremely communicative and kind throughout the process, and was able to give me quotes for the various issues immediately. He provided a few different options for our chimney issue, and suggested starting with the least expensive so as to not overdo it unnecessarily. He never made me feel pressured to say yes to any particular repair, which I appreciated. We settled on doing some of the work on the spot, and saving some for later -- he was quick and efficient, and so far, the things he repaired have held up through quite a bit of rain the next day. We definitely plan to utilize his services to repair the rest of our issues as well.

John and his crew were the most responsive and best communicators I've worked with for home repairs. They arrived on time for the initial inspection, took photos so I could see what was happening on the roof, provided a quote within 24 hours, and got me on their schedule as soon as possible. Communication skills are far and few between in the construction industry, so I really appreciated John's check-ins and updates leading up to the project. Would highly recommend Logan Square Roofing for anyone that appreciates good service and quality work!

Noticed some leaking that came from an area of piping on the roof that was improperly installed during rehab in 2012. Called Logan Square Roofing and they were very responsive to come to the house and provide a complete assessment of the roof. The team noticed several areas that needed repair, took pictures, and carefully explained the risks associated with each area and the estimated cost to repair. This included the original source of the leak, work on the front parapet flashing, flashing on other pipes, repair of some areas where the plywood had bowed, drip edging and increased ventilation with mushroom vents. John and his team took time to fully evaluate the roof before starting work and working quickly to resolve the areas. Their work was completed quickly and seems to be of high quality. They were a pleasure to work with and would certainly consider them for future projects and repairs.

John came out to give me an estimate the day after I called and was great in explaining what needed to be done and why, based on his best knowledge. Even though they were very busy, he fit me in around larger jobs to accommodate my move-in date. When they began work and could better diagnose the issue, he called, explained what was learned, and provided a revised estimate. Once his team had finished the work, he walked me through what had been done. The price was fair given what was done and in comparison to other estimates. I'd definitely use them again if the need arose...

They were were very responsive and were able to come out right away to work on my roof and chimney. Some of the leaks were near some flashing which were repaired and has since held up well during the last few heavy rains since they came out. Chimney was in bad shape and collapsing, they were able to rebuild and tuck point a portion of the chimney without doing a total tear down which would have been much more costly. Their pricing for everything was reasonable, and the work was performed in a very timely, and professional manner.

John was very helpful and was easy to contact. He worked with me to get the best product for the job and made sure everything was upto par when completed.

Logan Square roofing replaced the slopped roof on my 135 year old house and garage in two days. There was a two week delay on the project because of weather and communication was regular and open and when the weather cleared they were fast and efficient. They left the site clean. I would hire them again.

We called Logan Square Roofing to fix wind damage to our roof that was causing water damage to our back porch. John came out the next day ready to do business. He gave us a quote and took a deposit. He said it would take him a couple of days to do the work, but he showed up the next morning, a Saturday, and finished the job, replacing shingles, checking the rest of the roof, and caulking the chimney. He also removed an old ariel for a few dollars more. We were happy to have the job done so quickly and professionally.

John and his guys made some repairs to our 10 year old TPO roof about a month ago. We had a few water marks on ceiling below roof. John looked at the damage and compared it to what he saw on our roof. He also did some repair work to our tuckpointing. So far so good, no signs of further water leaks!

After having issues for many years, and consulting other roofing/waterproofing professionals, we asked Logan Square for an assessment and bid. They were not the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but we felt that they understood the problem and had the right plan to fix our issues. We are very happy with the work they performed, and would recommend this company to anyone with roofing needs.

They were really good. He had a family issue in Florida that he had to take care but once he got back in the city he completed the work within 2 days. Outstanding service! They cleaned up real nice. Everything was to my liking. I would recommend them.

The project went well and was completed quickly once weather allowed.
