Unfortunate to have to write this review - but necessary. Poorly performed concrete and install work which was deemed as "perfect" and unwilling to cooperate in remedying the failure of a job. I would strongly recommend finding another contractor for any concrete or patio work as unprofessionalism is very present.

They were able to come the next day! Did not cleanup the patio area after finishing

We hired Jesus and his crew to completely redo our concrete driveway (including apron) and patio. They went above and beyond to clear out the old concrete along with the shrubs to make sure the concrete pour was clear of all debris. They were also able to change the pitch, so the water would flow away from the house. The finished product looks fantastic and we couldn't be happier.

I highly recommend J. Alvarado, and will be hiring them again to help me finish making my backyard dreams come true. I'm still saving up for a stone patio, so Jesus and his team were out today removing a lot of overgrown trees and shrubs. They've been fantastic from start to finish--professional, highly communicative (thank you, Lucy, for answering all my questions via email), thorough, efficient and hard working.

Don t even bother calling anyone else. Jesus and Lucy are a dream team as far as customer satisfaction goes, and the J Alvarado team did an incredible job with our patio! They were incredibly prompt and communicative, always showed up when they said they would, and always finishes the work they planned for any given day. Not only were there zero delays, but they also got the job done a month in advance (with our approval to change the dates, of course). Our patio project involved 120yr old street pavers that are not uniform in size of shape, which we assumed would prove a challenge for any contractor we hired. Not the case for Jesus. The man knows his sh!t. We could not be happier with the finished product!

This team was professional from the first meeting to establish the estimate up to their dedication to keeping us informed about the start date. Our project involved using old street pavers, which can be uneven in size. Jesus considered our preferences and knew about proper excavating, laying gravel and sand, tamping down the base and how to slope the patio for appropriate run-off. They finished in a timely manner and cleaned up. They worked through unseasonably cold weather to finish on time. We would definitely recommend this company.

These guys were the best. I enjoyed working with them every step of the project from the initial quote through the walk through. Their attention to detail and care for the job was evident from day one. I could not recommend them more highly. If you are looking for a concrete driveway in the Chicago land area, this is the company to use.

Jesus, Lucy and the team were great. The wet spring pushed out my start date for my driveway to mid-August. I received an estimate for a driveway, parking pad, retaining wall and paver walk along my garage. I was very pleased and impressed with Jesus and his team. The end result is beautiful. My neighbors are envious!

Jesus and his team are the best. I had a challenging, custom project I needed completed. They not only completed the project I asked for, but improved upon what I originally asked for. The price, service and communication were excellent. I would recommend them for any and all concrete and landscaping needs. I've already retained their services for this coming spring. The back yard looks so good, I need a front yard to match!

Jesus and his team are very professional and always care for details. Even with the challenging weather they had to fight they did an amazing work. All work and pricing were agreed at contract signature. The final result of both front and back yard is amazing!

Mr. Alvarado and his team were great to work with- attention to detail, honest and reasonable. They replaced an existing sunken in concrete patio with beautiful pavers with some LED lights, while increasing the size of my patio. They also built a cool bench and did some landscaping in my backyard, including laying down sod and planting. We can now enjoy the backyard! I was so impressed with the work, that I have hired them to do weekly lawn maintenance for me. I will likely hire them next spring to update the landscaping in the front of my house as well. They met my deadline despite the extremely rainy spring/early summer we had.

The project and finish was great. There was a delayed on my part, but Mr Alvarado was very accommodating and very polite. They arrived on time, and when the work was done, they cleaned and left everything right. I most definitely will hire them again and recommend them.
