I was so sad to leave my hometown. I had to move urgently for work. As I’m a single man, I don’t own a lot of stuffs but still hiring a moving company was necessary. That’s when In & Out Moving came into the picture. I cannot emphasize enough on how amazing the movers were. They were punctual, efficient, fast and friendly. What else could I really expect from a set of movers? They didn’t sit around wasting time to increase the bill. Neither did they do a hotchpotch job. All my belongings were moved safely to my new apartment.

I have moved several times over last few years. So I have both good and bad experiences. When I see several complaints against a mover then I investigate and find out best one for my instant moving. After using In & Out Moving, I don’t feel any necessary to search for other moving company. I had great experience with them when they moved my house hold first time in 2015. This is 2nd time I used them for my shifting from Chicago, IL to Cleveland, OH. They were careful with all of my belongings as they were in 1st moving. They delivered on time and my things always arrived without a scratch. I have recommended them to all of my friends and colleagues.

I have never had such a speedy and enjoyable moving experience. My moving date was changed in the last minute and these guys were the only company that was able to accommodate me. They showed up on time. Then they displayed their skills in packing and loading my things! They finished packing and loading in a short time. They arrived at our new apartment earlier than it was scheduled. The guys were extremely alert. Nothing was lost, nicked or dented at all. They were fairly priced as well. I am so glad to have found these guys!

The movers from In & Out Moving were such an enthusiastic bunch. I didn’t even need to instruct them. They were so keen on their jobs. Every item got the same treatment from them- wrap, box, and load! They were very clean too- not leaving behind a mountain of unused packing materials. Their work ethic really surprises me. In the end, all my things were safely transported and I couldn’t find a reason to have any dissatisfaction.

I think it’s important for moving companies to be flexible and suit the client’s needs. I had a very long conversation with In & Out Moving about exactly what I need from them. The manager was very attentively taking notes of my request. When the men arrived at my home, I was quite pleased to see how professional and well equipped they all were. They finished packing and loading everything so quickly. The delivery was prompt as well. I am so grateful that I reached out for them. I hired In & Out Moving in such a rush but they proved why they have such a good reputation. I didn’t have to move a finger, they did pretty much everything. My belongings were all neatly packed by the movers and then they loaded everything. The whole thing was completed so quickly! I couldn’t be any happier when I received all my belongings intact. I really got lucky with this company. They are amazingly efficient and I will surely hire them again.

Moving to the big city has been my dream and it finally came true. I was moving with my wife from our country town and we hired In & Out to move our belongings. I have to admit, they did an amazing job. They were very careful with our very expensive glassware and they carried our furniture with extreme caution. The new apartment is a 3rd floor walkup and the movers very efficiently moved all our belongings up 3 floors. They never complained or whined. I was very impressed by their professionalism.

These guys kept me well informed throughout the move process. The move was well planned, and the movers were very professional. I have heard horror stories about Moving Conpanies. But in my case, the work was done on time and within budget, even with the inevitable surprises that always come up during Moving tasks. In & Out crew was punctual, always respectful. They were hard workers, polite and nice to be around.

In & Out Moving gave me the lowest quote so I hired them. They sent over four movers who turned out to be gems. They were punctual, efficient, careful, friendly and experienced. They took just 2 hours to pack and load everything from our 3-bedroom apartment. All our belongings were delivered safely and nothing was harmed during the trip. I don't have words to thank these guys properly.

The gentlemen who packed and moved our possessions were fast and very considerate. Not having used professional movers before, we didn’t know what to expect. My experience with them have been terrific & positive. I am very happy with them and you will be too! Such a good company. They moved without a single problem. The movers from In & Out didn’t seem to care much about the broken elevator or any other issues that I had during my last move. They were very efficient at their job. They packed up everything and took them down the stairs. Even the big pieces of furniture didn’t cause much trouble. They were supposed to make the delivery 3 days later. But there was an issue with my contract at the new place. So I asked them if they could delay the delivery by a week. They happily complied. I don’t know how to thank these guys.

I want to thank In & Out Moving for all their help when I moved from Illinois to Indiana. I never thought that I will overcome my fear of hiring a relocation company, especially since the last time I moved when the movers were not careful and broke my antiques. But these movers were extremely careful and friendly. Keeping track calls made my move trouble free as well for they have an awesome customer service. We will be sure to use their service again.

I can recognize good and bad movers because I moved a number of times and hired different movers till now. I have been ripped off several times with shady and unprofessional movers. The situation was like that I was afraid of hiring movers. I really had no choice but calling a moving company. This time I was dependant on my cousin who used TikTok Moving. First of all I did some research on this mover. The reviews for them were very positives and promising. I dared to hire them and it was my right decision. They were expert, helpful and tried to get rid of the moving stress. To be true, this was the best moving experiences I have ever had. After working with them, I regained my faith on movers. They are excellent.

On Saturday afternoon I was sexually harassed by three In & Out Moving employees who shouted explicit language at me from their truck as I ran by on the sidewalk. This physically and emotionally threatening behavior is a part of an all too common power dynamic which forces me and many other women into rethinking our personal safety while alone in public. This is simply not ok and should not be tolerated by any person or business. Unfortunately, In and Out Moving and Storage does not seem to share that opinion. After the incident I called In & Out to report what happened including the time, location, # of individuals involved, and license plate number of the truck. I did so because I believe it is the company's responsibility to follow up with with their employees after such an incident, sending a message of intolerance for such behavior. I was told there wasn't a manager available and one would call me back once they got the message. Now, more than two days later I am still waiting for a phone call. This leads me to believe that the people running this company are not concerned about the harassment that took place or the public safety of all people. I am disgusted by a company that would employ sexual predators and does not care enough to follow up with people victimized by them. I am not a customer of this company and I would encourage you to avoid giving them your business as well.

The mover came with a list of items the company determined to be reasonable for a 2 men job for 2 hrs. The movers informed me that they will not move anything that is not on their list. If I wanted something else to be moved I have to "take care" of the movers. It took the 2 guys less than 45min to off load the items on their list and I had to pay extra to get other items off loaded.

We did not have a good experience with In and Out Movers. We needed kitchen cabinets and appliances moved. The couple we purchased them from had used In and Out Movers to move the kitchen into a storage space so we decided to use them as well. I called and scheduled the move with them three weeks ahead of time. The customer service worker who answered the phone told me she knew exactly what kitchen I was referring to. In and Out Movers gave us a window of 2:00-4:00. The movers showed up around 7:00. When they arrived we were told they hadn't anticipated moving the appliances and we could reschedule or pay for two moves. We needed the cabinets and had already waited for 5 hours, so had them move those. The crew worked hard and seem like nice guys. When I called the next day, they offered a small discount, and to schedule the rest of the move for first thing in the morning the following week.We agreed to this and thought things were resolved. The following day we were contacted and told that time and day was no longer possible. We were offered another afternoon slot or a morning time two weeks later. In the end, I needed to hire other movers to get everything moved. In and Out Movers cost us a lot of time and money, and we would not recommend them. They need to put a greater focus on customer service.

1. They were supposed to show up between 8 and 9am, so at 9 I called In & Out and Ellie answered. She said the movers had already arrived so we needed to wait a few minutes for them to arrive on my floor. 2. At 9:15, I called Ellie again who stated that the movers were on their way and would be there in 10 minutes. I asked her why she told me they had already arrived to which she responded that I made up the story. 3. At 9:30, I again called Ellie who said she would check with them, but said I should call the movers myself. She gave me the number and quickly disconnected. 4. I had to call the movers to find out they would not be there for another 20 minutes. 5. Two movers arrived at 9:50 so I called Ellie again and asked to speak with a manager. Carlos answered and said the guy that was supposed to be on my job was killed in a warehouse fire that day. I said that it was obviously awful, but wanted to know when a substitute would arrive since two movers would take so much longer and thus cost me more than the 3 would have. He said a substitute would not be coming and if I didn't like it, I could cancel the move. Obviously this was not an option. I had to pay for another time block for the elevator because they were late and did not bring the appropriate resources. 6. The two movers were good, but there is only so much they can do when the bottleneck is the elevator and how quickly it is loaded and unloaded. 7. Carlos the manager showed up and helped move the couch and in doing so gashed a corner, scuffed the ceiling, and banged into a halogen light which subsequently caught fire. 8. The rest of the actual move was uneventful, but when it came time to pay, I was charged for five wardrobe boxes that I was quoted to get for free. 9. I was charged 40 for tape that I was told was part of the price of the move. 10. We had an emergency come up but the movers would not leave without the credit card confirmation coming from Carlos. So we called Carlos every 5 minutes for 35 minutes until he finally put through the charge. 11. Carlos' manager, Ariel, called me the following day because In & Out made an internal mistake and charged my order through their Boston operation and not the Chicago operation. He asked how the move went and I told him horribly to which he said, well, I can take off $80. The move was a full $250 more than expected from the hourly perspective, not to mention the extra $250 I had to pay for another 2 hours for the elevator.

Communication was great both before the move over phone and e-mails and on the moving day when they called me ahead to tell me they were on their way. Excellent experience getting quote and scheduling the move -- very responsive and explained cost breakdown in detail. The movers showed up on time and were extremely friendly and worked quickly. It was a very wet and muddy day and they eventually laid down paper, but I wish they had done it immediately, as I did have some clean up after they left. Additionally, only some of the furniture was wrapped fully in blankets. However, overall an extremely efficient job was done and my property was treated with care. Good service for a good price. I have used In & Out in the past and would gladly hire again in the future.

The guys were fantastic. They showed up on time and the move went 2 hours less than quoted. I had half a truck going to Good Will and they loaded and unloaded that and were on our way to my new place. Nothing got broke or lost and I will be calling them when I move again

The move itself went pretty well. The workers were good. Almost everything else has been awful. I found the company through a special listed here on Angie's List. $216 for 2 men for 3 hours. On the ad it said that a truck was not included but could be added for $50 additional. Anyone who reads that would interpret it as if the truck usage is optional to the customer. Otherwise they would have put '$266 for 2 men and moving truck for 3 hours,' right? Before scheduling I was required to pay the $216 through this website, which I did. When I subsequently called to schedule, the individual I spoke with informed me that the additional $50 was mandatory because "We're a moving company. We have to use a truck. Also, there is a $15 administrative fee. And you have to pay the truck fee up front." Of course, this was all baloney. Why wouldn't any mandatory fees have been paid through this website unless they were trying to pull a fast one? Of course, given that I had already paid $216 through Angie's List. I felt I had no choice to accept the unexpected new terms. Moving day: 1-3 PM was my scheduled arrival window. 2:30 approached and I had not yet heard anything, even though I was supposed to get advance notice. I called to make sure I was still on the schedule. Fortunately I was. Around 3:15 I was notified that the workers had arrived. A little late, but no big deal. Apparently the 2 men who were scheduled had given the job to 2 others, who were dropped off (no truck, none of the boxes that I had ordered). When they looked at my place they seemed pleased, said it was a small job and were eager to get it done in an hour and that gratuities were appreciated. This was a bit disconcerting because I didn't want them to rush through it and risk damage just so they could get out of there early. I was paying for 3 hours, after all. But not a big deal. They did a good, efficient job and were finished in an hour. Time to settle up. I was handed the bill: $39 rather than the $15 I was told over the phone. But I paid it, thinking that maybe I had overlooked something. I thought about not tipping because of all the overcharging. And I'm not sure tipping is standard for a move anyway. But I tipped $20 because I would have felt bad punishing the workers, particularly after their suggestion that tips were appreciated. Maybe I'm a sucker. So my final expense on a $216 advertisement? $325. For one hour of work. Egregious. Maybe even fraudulent. I contacted Angie's List about the ad. No response. I contacted the moving company with a letter very similar to the one I'm writing now, threatening to write bad reviews online and contact the Better Business Bureau. Got a timely response. I would be reimbursed the $50 (No) Truck Fee and the overcharge portion of the surprise administration fee if I signed some paperwork. Eh, fine. I agreed to be sent the paperwork. When I eventually got around to printing it out to sign and send back, it turned out to be a legal Release/Settlement agreement that would require me to have signed before a notary public. I would also be required to remove any bad online reviews and refrain from such going forward, along with any official complaints. Well, not gonna fly.
