Miro and his team of professionals were punctual, efficient, attentive and a joy to work with throughout every phase of our project. Their attention to detail resulted in a finished project that has greatly expanded our living space. Thanks to his leadership, our project came in on-time an within budget. Our basement is now the best place to gather and entertain.

Miro, the owner, was courteous and professional throughout the process, as were the individuals who performed the work. Any question or concern I had was answered, and the end results were excellent.

Miro was the second of three estimates that I received and with the Angie's List it became the most affordable. I am one who believes that you get what you pay for so I was a little wary to go with the cheapest estimate although it was most budget friendly. However, I liked Miro instantly and his presentation was excellent. He brought with him pictures of his work and an entire folder that included pages of references all over the city, copies of his Angie's List awards, copies of his "no complaint" certificates from the BBB, information about how to select a contractor, etc. I wanted to do the design myself and I was looking for someone to do the labor but I also wanted someone with design expertise to give me feedback on the reality of my design and during our conversation I was clear that Miro would be able to do that. He got back to me within the time that he stated with an estimate and verified that the time frame I was hoping to have the work done could be accomplished. Once I agreed to work with Homewise, Miro came back out we set up the contract and moved forward. His team was on time every day and very CLEAN. I had been warned that complete guts and remodels could be dusty but they were not at all. They sealed off the bathroom door with plastic and kept the door closed during the gut -- they also placed plastic in the area of my basement that was directly under the bathroom to catch in dust that fell. This is my only bathroom so I needed to have access to my toilet when they were done at the end of every day and they cleaned the bathroom at the end of every work day so that I could access my toilet in a clean bathroom. Miro was out of the country while they did the work and once again I got a little nervous about having the owner away in case I needed something but he reassured me that the foreman, Mario, would be responsive and that he could be accessible by email. My worries were for naught. Mario was great. They finished in the time frame they promised and the result is beautiful I hope to one day remodel my kitchen and I will absolutely be using Homewise. Just a side note: I had a plumbing problem that led to a flood in my bathroom which led to my decision to remodel my bathroom. The plumbers left a hole in the wall outside of my bathroom about 8 feet tall and 4 feet wide. Homewise repaired it completely and primed it for me to paint at absolutely minimal cost - this was a nice bonus!

Signed contract, work was started in a timely manner. Workers were neat and professional. They worked all day and every day. They cleaned the work area and did an excellent job. No damage anywhere. I was satisfied with work done, materials, and craftsmanship.

Homewise Remodelers, Inc were great, very attentive and got back to us quickly. We didn't end up using them, but they were good. I started off by looking for some contractors online for Chicago and as soon as I put the request by email, they got back to me almost immediately, I set up an appointment for them to come and look at the unit where the work was to be done and they came promptly. Everything about them went well.

Due to the age and condition of building, there were some setbacks, however the project was completed on time and under budget.  I was able to readily communicate with the contactor whenever I had any questions or concerns.  Contractor and workers provided feedback throughout construction on ways to improve project.

Mirek was very attentive to the details. He has a great team that all do phenomenal work. From the demolition, electrician, plumber, granite countertop teams, they all were professional and cleaned up before they left. I was beyond impressed with the work.

Fabulous! On time every day, clean and neat, solved our plumbing issues by moving water lines. Absolutely beautiful job!

They were very prompt and here each day right on time.  They were very friendly and personable.  They took extra time to make sure not to damage anything in my home.  They always laid drop cloths through out the house to protect the floors.  They would clean up after each day of work.  They worked in our home for about three weeks, and I would use this company again for any future work in my home.  They were also very helpful in working with us to fit our budget.

        Overall the job went very well. The workers were very prompt , worked hard while here and were very good about cleaning up at the end of a work day.If there were any questions they were answered with no problem. The time frame given for completion was met without compromising the quality of work. The foreman guranteed me from the initial stage a great transformation in updating my kitchen.It's beautiful!! I have recieved many compliments and so  far very pleased.
        What I thought could have been a problem was worked out. Near the completion, the original backsplash I had chosen was no longer available .Two choices were brought to the house to select from. I did feel like I would like to have had more of a choice.The selection though turned out to work very well and I was very pleased. The workers did an excellent job of matching the grout with the backsplash and cabinets.

He was a nice person.  He was prompt in giving me the quote.  It was for about $17,500.  My overall experience was fine, but I did not use them.

They worked 6 days a week from 8-5 daily.
Always on time and they cleaned up everyday.
Added extra features to the basement, that I didn think of.

Very professional from start to finish. Work men arrived promptly at 8:00 A.M. & worked constantly. When error in tile sent by big box, one worker went to several other stores to get correct order. Beautifully done & highly recommended.

Great! Our building received a violation from the City of Chicago regarding our wooden porch. We received 12 estimates for various companies. HomeWise was one of the last to give an estimate but gave us one of the most truthful and honest estimates. They recommended repairing the existing structure so we could keep the existing layout. If we went with a brand new porch the City code would prevent us from using the existing layout (to close to the neighboring building). Miro explained this to us with detail and honesty and gave us many references of other customers. They took care of all the permits and other hassels with the City of Chicago. They were prompt, punctual, and very friendly. I would highly recommend Homewise to my friends and family!

We received a violation from the City of Chicago for our wooden porch. Then received over 12 estimates from various companies to repair it. When I first met Miro I felt very comfortable with his approach to our situation. We didn't want a new deck, as the layout would completely change and not be as efficiently designed (as our building is very close to the neighbors building, and current code for NEW construction wouldn't allow us to keep the same design). Miro pointed this out and took the time to give us many references of New construction and Repair construction). They took care of all City requirement with permits and associated hassles. They performed the work with great care and workmanship, were punctual, and very professional. I would highly recommend them to any friend or neighbor.

They arrived ontime and worked till 6pm the first day and finished by 2pm the next. I was very happy with the workers, you can tell they have been working together for awhile. They kept everything clean and neat.
