We use brass fittings at the water supply connections to and from the tank to help prevent electrolysis (this method is much better at preventing this corrosion than the much more commonly installed dielectric unions), and a full port drain valve to help remove sediment during service intervals. We come across a lot of toilet tanks that have improper or poor quality parts that were installed either at the factory, or by someone during a previous repair. When OEM parts are best, that is what we use. In many cases, we can actually improve over original quality and performance with some upgrades, which we will do when this is an option. "Thank you for your review, and I am sorry that you had a few issues. I am glad of course that you were happy with our work, but of course I want our customers to be happy with all aspects of the service that they receive from Goode Plumbing. As the member stated, he is the owner and arranged with his tenant to let us into a rental unit. We do this regularly, and we very seldom have an issue. We do need to be able to get in touch with the owners to let them know what we find and the pricing and to get approval for the work. I spoke with both the member and the plumber that we sent out. I also looked at the invoice, and there was a note about mailing it a different address than the one we were servicing. My records do indicate that we mailed it out, so I am not sure why he did not receive it. My plumber could not recall if he attempted to contact the owner, as it was a month ago, to be completely honest, so there is the chance that we made an error here, and for that I do apologize. The price for the work was reasonable for the work performed. After speaking with the Member's wife, she did say that the price seemed high but she was not really sure what it should cost. I do realize that the cost of a licensed, professional plumber can seem steep, but I am confident that given our workmanship and quality, we are very reasonable. As I mentioned, we do the landlord/tenant arrangement regularly with very few issues, but since there was the chance that we did make an error in communication, I did work with the Member on making an adjustment to the invoice."

"Hello and thank you for your review! Plumbing Technician Mike Davis went out and was able to repair this water heater after she and I exchanged some texts late the night before. While in many cases tankless water heater issues are installation errors, this one proved to have a dirty flame sensing rod, and was overdue for regular service including a complete flushing of the heat exchanger, which Mike handled while he was there. Glad things are working properly again!"

This helps remove sediment from the tank that can shorten the life of the tank, as well as cause issues with faucets. We recommend replacing the factory installed drain valve on the water heater with our full port valve, which allows for more complete sediment removal. We also appreciate your review here!"

The model is question is a little tricky to work on-I commend her on getting as far as she did with it.
