GLADSTONE PARK BAKERY

As usual, the cake was delicious, the best I have found anywhere in this country. I've experimented with other bakeries because I found their decorating more attractive but none have ever surpassed the phenomenal butter cream frosting and cake that Gladstone offers. One bakery I tried close to my home had great decorating, but my sons and I spit the cake out (literally). Another has gorgeous decorating, but the frosting and cake both lack something when you take a bite. Another major, expensive food chain had a very pretty cake that, after one bite, I threw out to the birds. My younger son once got very mad when I tried another bakery and I swore I would never buy his birthday cake anywhere else but Gladstone's. Once, ten years ago, I had an older sales woman give me a bad time, but happy to say, she's long gone. The present owner and baker studied with the previous owner and when you talk to him you know he's sincerely trying to preserve the quality first established.
