It went great. I had some sort of rattling and grinding noise coming from the driver's side front wheel of my car. Matt and his team took a look at it and determined that it was plate. They tightened everything up and simply charged me for the labor. Subsequently I returned to Fulton and DesPlaines Garage at the end of March to have a headlight bulb replaced. They were quick and did great work on that as well.

I've been going to Matt for a few years now and it always is the same. I give him a call... he says bring it in that day... calls me within a couple hours letting me know the issue, how it can be fixed, and has my car ready by the end of the day.

My car was inspected for what turned out to be suspension issues. Matt called during the inspection with questions and comments, then called again--a lot sooner than I expected!--when the inspection was done. He gave a very thorough explanation of what was found, what repairs were necessary and the estimated costs of them. He also explained what other parts may need servicing in the course of the repair, and gave me a written report.
I was impressed enough with the estimate, and the overall interaction, that I came back for the repairs. It turned out that some additional parts that Matt had previously mentioned did need replacing, and he checked in with me before proceeding.
The final charges were perfectly in line with the estimate, and Matt again explained what was done.
I am very happy with the work done, the charges and the communication and professionalism of this shop.

I like them because they are honest mechanics and they only charge for the work that they do. Even if they are running some diagnostic work, they won't charge for just troubleshooting. They are very knowledgeable, and they try their hardest to keep it at a reasonable cost. They always call and check before they do any work, so there's never any surprises or anything like that. It is a really good garage. The owner's name is Matt, and he is the one who everybody deals with. He is very friendly and very easy to work with, and I never feel like I am being fleeced or anything like that. I will continue to use them in the future.

Hands down, the most honest mechanic in town. Their prices are reasonable too. Example, my check engine light came on a while ago, I took it to this one garage and they told me $88 just to hook up to the computer. I ended up taking it to these guys b/c it was near my office at the time. They hooked it up, found nothing wrong....and CHARGED ME NOTHING!! I have since moved my office, but will continue going back to Matt and the crew there, they truly are one of a kind. I cannot say enough about these guys and their honesty.

They have super customer service and were able to do the work that day, they were very helpful. They were quick and efficient, and were able to be flexible to my time frame.

I've moved recently to the west loop area and needed to find a mechanic in the area that is reliable, with a good price to do work on my car. I called on Friday morning to see if they were available to look at the car's exhaust and provide an estimate. Within 1 hour I was given the numbers, so decided to go with them. By mid day the replacement parts arrived and were installed by 3PM. I picked up the car at 5:30PM same day. After removing the tires Matt inspected both front and back brakes. The brakes had 20% left on them, and didn't need immediate attention, so the work was deferred to a later date so my bank account can recover somewhat. Overall considering the responsiveness, fairness and quality of work I'm really satisfied with Matt's work and would go back for future jobs.
