This is the beginning, and so far, I will NOT recommend this company to anyone! No one but the sales person gives their name. Twice, 2 men came to install the unit, rang my bell and came to the door without identifying themselves as being from Four Seasons, what they were there to do, or their names. One had a regular shirt-no 4 seasons. The unit was installed Friday,8/25. I called to schedule the thermostat to be installed, on 8/26, spoke with Mandy and gave my cell phone to call to confirm before service person arrived. They never received this info and as result, we did not connect. A/C unit installed w/pipe facing out, instead of building, needs to be changed, 6 inch pipes from furnace to humidifier were added and I was not consulted before. I now have much less access to open space in my laundry room. I hope today when Tech arrives all can be resolved. Curt and abrupt phone personnel- 28 minutes on hold 8/26. Too many special departments for install/repair.

Four Season's came out the same day I called. It was during the heat wave so I was appreciative. They informed me that the air unit was working properly. Although, I wish I had them check the inside vents and they did not offer that. The service man was friendly and did the work quickly.

The company was very professional and prompt. We were not charged an additional fee for having the work done on a weekend. The first technician was very polite and even pointed out a bee nest that he noticed in our grill, so our children wouldn't get stung. After the A Coil was purchased and installed by a technician, we had the same problem the next morning. Another technician came and was unable to pinpoint the problem, but did call a supervisor to come later in the day. Before leaving he added freon. When the supervisor arrived, he found the system to be working properly and determined the crew that installed the A coil did not take the time to properly charge the system. He left his card, just in case. Had the system been properly charged and working the first time, I would have given the company an ''A''.
Description of Work: The air conditioner was not cooling our home. The output of air was very low and the line had developed ice. After performing several diagnostic tests, the technician determined the the A Coil was dirty and needed cleaning or replacing. We decided to replace it and received a 1 year warranty.

I only have 1000 characters to explain but problem #1 was that salesman John O'Brien. He assured us that the new furnace would fit up the attic pull-down stairs and that they could disassemble the old one to make it fit down. Result was the old one didn't fit and they couldn't disassemble it. They had to pop rivets on factory installed hinges on the pull-down stairs to get the old furnace down. Problem #2 was the salesman didn't size the new furnace properly, although he did later give us the correct (larger) size at the smaller size price. Problem #3, it took 3 weeks, 5 trips and one lost day's wages to complete the install due to missing parts and poor communication between the install teams. They did provide me with 6 free clean and check coupons to make up for some of the lost wages and reduced our price by $500. Problem #4, the thermostat wasn't wired correctly for two stages. Only after I checked the wiring did they send someone to run a new wire. Overall Conclusion: Be warned.
Description of Work: They replaced a 14 year old a/c condensing unit and corresponding 14 year old furnace. Our 3 story home has three separate systems and this was a complete replacement of the system that serves our 2nd story. The furnace was located in our attic, accessible by a set of pull-down stairs. Our original quote was $5,000, but the price dropped to $4,500 due to installation incompetence. The price included a 3 ton, 13 SEER York cube condenser; an 80% 100K BTU Affinity 2 stage variable speed furnace; air filter; Aprilaire 550 humidifier; 2 stage programmable thermostat.

This company provides 24/7 service at no additional charge. I called them at 9:30 pm the day I returned from a trip and discovered the A/C was not working. The person I talked with was pleasant and accommodating. Although they could have dispatched someone that night, I elected to have them come the next afternoon. The tech called first, then arrived early in the afternoon. He finished quickly, and was very professional and knowledgeable. Although he hadn't seen one before, he graciously accepted the Angie's List coupon I presented. The cost was $90, reduced to $70 with the coupon. I've used other HVAC companies in the past, but Four Season's is by far the best. I will continue to use them in the future.
Description of Work: A/C condenser was not working. I had checked all circuit breakers, but although interior circulating fan was working, the condenser wasn't. Technician said earwigs were causing a lot of problems with relays this year. He found lots of them in the electrical controls on the condenser, cleaned it out, and got it working right away. He also checked for proper function and found that the system needed one pound of refrigerant, which he added. I also had him raise the speed of the circulating fan in the furnace unit to improve circulation to the upper floor of the house.

Two technicians arrived and were very rude. They seemed to be upset that I called on a Sunday afternoon. They quoted me $270 for a short term fix and over $1000 for a new compressor. When I told them I needed to think about it they were less than pleasant. Turns out that both prices quoted are higher than the competition. I won't be using Four Seasons again.
Description of Work: They came out on a Sunday to check the A/C unit, spent 5 minutes examining the unit, and told me the compressor needed to be replaced.

THEY WERE MOST LIKELY ACTING OUT OF EXHAUSTION DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE DATE OF SERVICE WAS PART OF OUR BUSIEST WEEK TO DATE, HAVING RAN OVER 2000 SERVICE CALLS. THIS IS NOT AN EXCUSE, ONLY AN EXPLANATION. OUR SERVICE TECHS HAVE BEEN REPRIMANDED FOR THEIR ACTIONS.

Called for estimate on 2nd floor A/C unit in attic on Saturday afternoon, and the phone was answered and appointment made with first call. They came midday Monday. Requested a salesperson able to access attic without stairs (i.e. via ladder), and the person they sent was not able to do that, so I felt I didn't get a complete evaluation. The access door to the attic is small and the space in the attic is limited, so I didn't feel the job was evaluated completely based on other estimates I received. The rep, K. Musial, was very professional and knowledgeable. He arrived on time, and was good at explaining my options. There was a lot of info on the company and the proposed equipment, but I decided to use another business who offered more options and seemed more forthcoming about the potential problems the job presented. The price was in line with other estimates, but price was not my main concern since this was going to be a messy, difficult job.

Although all of the information I provided last time was true, following my review a representative from Four Seasons called me. He had read my review and was extremely apologetic. He said the technician in question had already been fired and he offered to refund my money in full. I recieved the check today. While I am still displeased with the technician, both persons I have come into contact with since, at Four Seasons, have been very apolegetic and concerned about making ammends in some way. I don't know if I would call them again, but they were certainly responsive to my complaints and it is truly possible that I just happened to get a poor technician. It sounded like they had to hire extra help for the busy season and did not find out until it was too late that they had hired someone who was unscrupulous. That being said they did the right thing in the end and I truly appreciated it. For the customer service staff I would give an A for professionalism, but for the tech an F.
Description of Work: This is a follow up from my last review in which the technician told me I had to buy a whole new unit because the comporessor was bad on my central air, which was less than a year old.

I was stood up by a company which evidently was too busy to want our business. If they miss appointments when we ask for an estimate, I can only wonder what they would do if we had a problem and sought their help in repairing it.
Description of Work: I had requested an estimate from 4 Seasons and Air conditioning for replaying our furnace, and upgrading the airconditioning. An appointment was made for the company's representative to visit our home on Friday, June 2nd between 10 am and noon. I stayed home for the appointment. No one came.

Our A/C unit wasn't working during Memorial Wknd. We made a service call to Four Seasons in the am, but due to the overwhelming amount of services calls, they only arrived to our home around 7pm. We were told our A/C unit could not be repaired, but that Four Seasons could have a crew at our house in 2hrs to install a new. The crew that arrived was friendly, and let us know what their time frame was to remove the old unit and install the new one. The workers were professional, and so far our new A/C unit is working great.

Salesman arrived on time with a fair estimate. Scheduled install ASAP since I had no air & my family was uncomfortable. Salesman said someone from financing would call me prior to install. I confirmed 12/cash w/salesman. I did not receive a call & assumed all was in order when installer arrived. Installer demanded I sign a contract to pay with cash or no install. I refused and explained. He STILL wanted me to sign. I refused again! He then made a phone call.Rep called me & agreed to take an app over the phone for 12/cash. Then said I couldn't qualify for 12/cash, but could get financing which included paying $600.00 in interest up front.I said,''absolutely not''.I refused to pay interest when I could satisfy the balance w/in the next 6 months.She left me no other option than to cancel.Why did I not receive a phone call prior to install as promised??? I FEEL THIS COMPANY TRIED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MY DESPERATE SITUATION AND I REFUSE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM NOR RECOMMED THEM! BEWARE!!!

WE SENT OUT A TWO MAN INSTALLATION CREW FROM BRIDGEVIEW TO LIBERTYVILLE - UPON ARRIVAL THE CUSTOMER REFUSED TO SIGN THE CONTRACT. THE CUSTOMER INSTRUCTS OUR CREW THAT SHE WILL PAY HALF OF THE CONTRACT AMOUNT. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PARTIAL PAYMENTS ON INSTALLATIONS. IT IS OUR COMPANY POLICY TO HAVE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS MADE PRIOR TO ANY INSTALLATION - NO EXCEPTIONS. THIS POLICY IS OUTLINED CLEARLY ON THE FRONT OF OUR PROPOSAL/CONTRACT. Overall I had a fairly positive experience. I'm not sure that the check-up was really necessary so it might have been money I didn't need to spend. However, the tech was on-time, curtious and seemed to do the necessary work.
Description of Work: I had my 12 year old A/C unit serviced and checked for the season. The tech cleaned the unit, checked the freon level and motor and wires.

The service providers were on time, tidy and very polite. I called them one afternoon to have them look at the furnace. A repairman was there that evening and I had a new furnace installed the next day. They gave me a very nice discount on a new furnace.
