Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning

The repair person was pleasant. In order to learn more about the furnace, he explained to me what he was doing. He was also proactive in checking on the humidifier filter which required immediate replacement. He had me clean the filter casing which I thought was strange since I thought he should be doing that. But since everything else was going fine, I didn't mind it. I received an Angie's List discount which was very nice.

I called Four Seasons and immediately spoke with a person who said that someone would be calling within 45 minutes. This is at 9:45pm on a Saturday night!! True to their word, Don called within 30 minutes and verified where my house was. When he arrived he was extremely professional. He went straight to the furnace after taking time to listen to me describe the problem and immediately diagnosed the issue as a broken igniter valve. He did not have the replacement part in his van, but a coworker did, and drove it out to him while he waited in his van. (I did offer to let him stay in my house, but he wanted to straighten out his van.) Once the part arrived, Don was in and out and my heat was back in business. The cost was $65 for the service call (even though it was late at night) and $195 for the new igniter valve.

They were responsive, but they are definitely focused on the heating and air conditioning, not the water heaters. They had one water heater that they seem to install for all their customers and had little information about other options. We were looking for an efficient water heater because of rising energy costs, but they were not very well-informed in this area. We were left with almost as many questions as we had going in, and still haven't had the work done. We will probably go with a company that is more familiar with the products.

Salesman was informed about the products and spent sufficient time explaining the products and different available options. Easy to deal with, and scheduled when I wanted the installation without a down payment. Install took longer than I expected and I would have liked the water line installed differently,but it was not done in a way that I would have it re-done. The installers were very nice to work with,however one was inexperienced. The installers had to come back to complete one part of the install as they needed special wiring for the t-stat. Neither of the installers were familiar with the T-stat and one took his time to make sure of the installation by reading the manual. Overall they did a good job.

They were just fantastic in every way. They came right away, gave us a great price and a great furnace.

After calling several companies (and spending lots of time waiting for someone to call back). I called Four Seasons, let me explain the circumstances. It was 12AM Jan. 3. The temperature was -7 degrees and the wind chill was -25. The lady at Four Seasons promised me a call back from a tech. within the hour. Lo and behold Mr. Tabor DID call back (in 45 minutes) and said he would be there in an hour to an hour and a half. Not only was he on time he figured out the problem, repaired it, and waited to make sure the system was operating properly, at 3:45AM he left. I was charged no extra and paid only for the call and misc. repair. I wish I could tell you how grateful I was to Four Seasons and Mr. Tabor for their wonderful service. I know when I need any type of heat or A/C work done I will call Four Seasons.

Service repairman completely diagnosed problem incorrectly. Wanted to charge us $565 for a $165 control board and 10 minutes worth of labor. Nothing wrong with our control board. We paid $65 for service call as well as $165 for control board (on our own) part cannot be returned. Paid for a second opinion, turns out there was nothing wrong with any part- just a dirty induction motor, that's it. Called company, met with indifference and arrogance.

They left us in the same predicament as before. They are suppose to be sending a supervisor out today. This has become a real problem for me.

All went well. I scheduled two days in advance and was a little disappointed that they could only give a 4 hour window, but it is the dead of winter and they emphasized the heavy volume right now.

I've used Four Seasons in the past to install one furnace and service both of my furnaces. Each time, they have been professional, show up on time, and will call prior to let you know they are on their way. They always do a good job and I have yet to have any issues with them.

He was very kind and informative. There wasn't anything wrong with my furnace so he only charged me a service call. He was very honest and courteous.

This company was extremely professional. They told me what they planned to do, at what cost, and then did it! In addition to the boilers, they replaced the piping for the first-floor unit and added a thermostat. They were so on top of things, that shortly after I agreed to go ahead with the job, someone from the company stopped by with a permit; I didn't even have to ask for one!

Called in the morning for a price and set up an afternoon service time on that day. Very nice and business-like on the phone. Installers called an hour ahead to give me arrival time and came at that time. Worked away at the job and cleaned up after completed.

Installation a little sloppy, next day one supply vent fell out, heat in one system it takes 40 to 45 minutes to raise temp 4 degrees unlike our old system took about 15 minutes to raise the 4 degrees. They came back to adjust but were unable to do anything.

The sales, installation, and follow-up were outstanding. The work was performed just as agreed. The installers were nice, competent, and highly professional. They worked for 10 hours and offered to complete the job (by installing the coil) that night. We declined, so they could get some well-deserved sleep. They returned to complete the job within two days, at our election, and even brought a new programmable thermostat which they installed. They cleaned up a removed all debris and were as neat and polite as could be. Within a few days, we felt a slight adjustment was necessary. The company promptly sent out Mike, a field supervisor, who was highly knowledgeable and was able to determine immediately, what adjustments to make. When he left, everything was working perfectly. Not only is our heating working as promised; uniform on all level, but we haven't seen dust since we installed the air cleaners! Wonderful experience and we highly recommend them.

The technicians that came out on both occasions were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I have asked them to estimate a larger repair I need done.

Furnace went out in the middle of the night. Several other "24-hour emergency" heating services we contacted at 2:00 am couldn't respond until the next day, but Four Seasons had a man there in just over 1 hour. He immediately found the problem (a vacuum line) and patched it together to work until he could get a replacement, which another service man returned with the next morning. It turned out the heat exchanger was also falling apart, so the entire furnace needed replacing. Four Seasons completely replaced the old furnace with a comparable (high efficiency) new one in only one day, charging only for the furnace, not charging for the initial repair, and providing a substantial discount over list price. Several servicemen were involved at different points and all were pleasant and competent, except that their warehouse did send an incorrect part at one point, so there was a temporary delay.

Kenny arrived on time after calling to say he was 15-20 minutes away. He covered his shoes with "booties" and inspected the duct work and furnace. He explained the issue and what else we needed to do. He inspected the furnace and showed me the dirty filter, which he changed using a new one from his truck. Everything went well until he used the bathroom and left urine on the toilet.

My furnace had stopped working. Had used 4 seasons before and liked them. They came and said I needed to buy a new furnace for only $2400. I said it had broken the same way before 2 times and had been fixed for $150-$200 before. He said no, new furnace and he'd give me a nice discount on a new install. I looked in Yellow Pages and called Roberts Heating in Northbrook. The guy came in an hour. Pushed the reset button and told me I could fix it myself next time now that I knew how to reset the furnace! It took him 5 minutes! Shame on Four Seasons. Although in their defense, they only charged $60 to come out which would be credited to the price of a new furnace.

I made an appointment and the guy showed up on time. He looked around and said, "I don't do this. The other guy does these jobs. I will give him a call and he will call you in less than an hour." It has been over two months and I am still waiting for the call.

John called us back immediately - he was fantastic. They had the water heater installed the day after he came out. It took a little over 2.5 hours, but only because the old heater took so long to empty. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

Needed furnace check, saw Four Seasons price (w/coupon) in Angie's List magazine. Telephoned Four Seasons (a couple of weeks prior)and spoke with someone who I told that I was a member of Angie's List and that I had a coupon. Got an immediate appointment for December 16, 2006, between the hours of 1:00pm and 5:00pm. Don't know if they would have, but I telephone on December 15th to confirm the appointment. On Saturday, December 16, James (the tech) phoned at approx. 1:30pm and said he arrive in about half an hour, which he did. As I watched, thoroughly cleaned and checked the furnace, which took approximately 20 minutes. James seemed knowledgeable and was professional and courteous.

The blower motor on our furnace went out during the really hot days that we had over the summer. The A/C was working fine but without the blower to push the cold air through it was getting very hot. We are new home owners so we were a little nervous about calling someone. I called Four Season's after reading members comments and because they offered a coupon. They asked if we had air, I told them no. They came out that day, no extra charge. The gentleman was extremely knowledgeable and efficient. He was able to get the part that day and replace it. If you have their yearly service plan they give you a discount on parts. I did not have that but while their part prices were a little higher than others, the charge for their time is lower. They also don't waste time to rack up a higher bill. I called around afterwards to compare prices and I was very pleased with Four Season's. I also asked other places how long would it take for them to get out there and was told 2 to 4 days.

The estimator arrived on time and took many notes and measurements, and built a quote on the spot. He was the only estimator of three who said a humidifier would be no problem despite the cramped space; the others did not like the idea because piping/ducts would get in the way of service panels on the furnace. The initial quote was high but the estimator was able to knock some of the price off to be more competitive. When I called to schedule the install, he suggested three days later; I was surprised a crew was available so soon. When the crew arrived, they got right to work. Half the time was spent disassembling and removing the old furnace and parts. The plenum work was very professional and in fact better than the original plenum (ductwork). Initially a single-stage thermostat had been provided, a company courier brought a 2-stage t-stat out when he dropped off some other parts after the lunch break. In all an easy experience.

Very well. Came asap. Very efficient. Gave us several options and explained the difference in prices and guarantees. Replaced the furnace on the same day!
