They returned my calls and gave me an appointment pretty quick. They showed up on time and did a good job. They were professional and available. Their price wasnt excellent, but it was good. I would recommend them.

The servicemen arrived on schedule with the new furnace and quickly did the installation using the existing duct work. They did a good job with the clean up work and disposed of the old furnace for us. Their price was fair, my only complaint would be that I did not receive the $50 rebate which I had been promised. All and all, they were very professional and the new furnace passed the village inspection with flying colors.

To tell you the truth, I have very mixed feelings about them. I get good work out of them usually, but this winter when we were gone and our furnace went out, maybe its age or inexperience, but I thought they charged us too much. One time we get someone good and the next time we don't. I guess, in general, it balances out to them being average. I may have to ask for the same good person I like dealing with and request him.

I don't have a yearly service agreement with them, but they do give me coupons often. The service that they did was actually 99 dollars but they gave me a coupon for 30 dollars off because they had to reschedule the time that they could come out more than once. That makes them very customer oriented in my book.
Description of Work: Four Seasons serviced my air conditioner last spring. They tested the temperature, checked it, washed it and checked the thermostat. There is a several point inspection that they perform each time they come.

They have also installed a new furnace for me. I have been using them for three years and all goes just fine with them. They did a great job checking my system. They send out a letter to you and it is usually with a coupon. The letter is just informing you that you can discounts and that it is time to give them a call. I am not positive on the price, but $79 sticks out after discounts.

Salesman appeared to be very informed giving us background of company, reasons for pricing, exposed us to Angies list. In addition, provided us with information we were unaware of: places needing insulating, areas of mold/mildew/ need for additional air-vents, etc. Installers arrived (with booties on!) on time, proved to be pleasant, professional, and cleaned up area within expected time frame.

The crew showed up around 10AM each day w/o the promised warning call. It was clear the crew never received proper instruction regarding our plans and I insisted that he call the salesman. The salesman estimated one to two days for installation but in reality it lasted from Monday through Saturday. The first crew complained about how they were treated by Four Seasons and were replaced by a crew who weren't familiar with the installation plans either. The original crew returned after numerous complaints to correct their and their replacements errors: - Copper piping installed at about 5'2" height over an access area; - Wiring to thermostat hanging loose in the crawlspace; - Leaky pipe fittings which was excused as flux; - Left the old expansion tank (filled) up claiming that they couldn't take it out because of existing piping (hah!); - Whiny oversized pump which turned out to be a rebuilt ("But it's got twice the warranty of a new one"); - Use of our white tubs for drainage.

Installation went smooth. We did have a problem with the A/C not cooling our home and they were very receptive to our problem. After a few visits they finally figured we needed a bigger A/C unit and replaced at no extra charge. Overall, it was a trying situation and 4 seasons was there till the job was done right. I would highly recommend them. They truly look out for their customers.

Four Seasons has done maintenance work on our heating and a/c before. When our furnace began making a loud rattling noise and then stopped blowing air, we called them to take a look. Bryan was a little late, but did call ahead and apologized for being late, when he arrived. He explained what was wrong with the old furnace and gave us a quote to repair it along with options for a replacement. He assured us that the a/c unit, didnt need to be replaced. He answered the questions I had about new furnace options and was patient about waiting until I discussed the options with my husband and made a decision. Installation, Joe called ahead to let me know when the crew would be arriving. Both men doing the work were polite, they worked efficiently, cleaned up after themselves and were thorough about discussing with me, where I wanted to put the additional vents, we asked for. They explained the new thermostat well.
Description of Work: We bought a new single stage Lennox furnace and had two additional supply vents installed. Four seasons brought all supplies for the new vents and hauled away the old furnace. They installed the new furnace and a new electronic thermostat.

Awful..They Suck! I don't know how they stay in business. Another time, I was going to remove my old AC unit and wanted the Freon properly removed and disposed. (Its illegal not to dispose of Freon properly, let alone, toxic for everything it is around.) The service guy said they could remove it. When the field guy came out it was a whole different story. He told me we needed to buy an entirely new AC system before he could remove the Freon! Basically trying to strong arm us. Truly Nasty Business Manners!
Description of Work: I have called them on several occasions because they are local and I wanted to stay with local businesses. I wanted work to be performed like an estimate for a entirely new heating and air conditioning system! (Our house is way out of date, by 60 years, with the current HVAC efficiencies.) The day they were supposed to come give the estimate they didnt show up or call back. Nothing no response! They think they are to good for themselves. Their receptionists are snotty, too. One actually argued with me for setting an appointment on when I should have my furnace cleaned. The thing is the service guy had just left the house when I called and got the snotty arguing receptionist. If they know so much why arent they out in the field actually showing up on calls !

I was getting estimates from multiple places for furnace and AC replacement. Curt from Four Seasons came out and gave me a long speech about his company, more about the gear they sell. I then said 'Time to get down to numbers'. So he started writing an estimate, but only filling in LIST prices. I said 'What are the real prices?' - he said he WOULDN'T TELL ME UNLESS I was going to "pull the trigger" right then and there! I said I was not going to do that and he started going into some nonsense about their prices were changing all the time, "it's going to get hot next week," prices will go up. I said 'just give me a price that is good for 2 days' - he REFUSED. I told him I felt like I was dealing with a car salesman and he got all huffy and rude like *I* was doing something wrong, then stormed out, never having given the estimate. He also spent a lot of time talking trash about his main competition. All in all, a thoroughly unprofessional person and an unpleasant experience.
Description of Work: They came to give an estimate, but would not do so unless I signed right there. Only quoted list prices.($6000.)

My old AC was going on 14 years of age and had blown a compressor fan. I called 4 Seasons on Sat evening to come out for an estimate on a new unit. They sent a salesman out Tuesday morning, and he spent about 30-40 minutes inspecting the existing system and measuring the square footage of the house. He wrote up estimates for two different units (one 13 SEER, one 15 SEER), and said he'd be able to get them installed by the weekend (which was key to my decision, as we were having a large dinner party at our home that Sunday). His estimates were slightly lower than what I was 'ballpark quoted' by my existing Heating/AC maintenance company. I did shop around and got an estimate from my current company, and 4 seasons was significantly less than them, for the exact same unit. They installed on Friday afternoon. One glitch-the thermostat was not allowing me to turn on the furnace. One call to them and they had a team out the same day, and they installed brand new thermostat.
Description of Work: Installed new central A/C. Also removed old unit, and installed new interior coil and programmable thermostat.

First the good news. These guys were hands down the winner on the estimates. I used them based on a referral from a friend. I have a basement that occasionally floods and has a constant seepage issue. When Four Seasons arrived to replace the furnace, there was still some water in the basement from recent flooding. However, they installed the new unit flush to the floor, where it was likely to flood. To make a long story short, they agreed to reinstall the unit to my specification, (less likely to flood) but insisted that the total price (which included two A/C units that were not going to be effected) would double! I refused to accept this. Obviously, my lack of supervision of their work and lack of direction in the bid are at fault. The bottom line, I am doing additional work on the HVAC this summer and this company is not welcome back. Some of the work involved will repair the flawed installation of the furnace and the two A/C compressors.
Description of Work: First of all, the work performed by this company occurred five years ago (2002). The company was to install central A/C and replace an old furnace in a two-flat, so that there were two A/C compressors, duct work, controls and a furnace to install. The two flat did not have a previously existing central A/C. I'll find the final invoice and edit the amount of the contract at a later time. I am currently having estimates from other contractors to do minor repairs on their compressor installation and to install the furnace to my specifications. Their installation put a circuit board within a foot of the floor. The older furnace's controls were at least a foot above the floor. Before the installation was complete, I asked their personnel to install it so that it was less likely to flood. They agreed, but wanted to double the entire price of the quote. Several floods have occurred in the basement. Last week, the flood reached the circuit board and it now requires replacement: $500.

Called Four Seasons to simply have central A/C recharged for the season. Made appointment for service and was given a five hour window for when theyd show up to do the work. Never showed nor did they call. When I called after the fifth hour, was told tech was on his way. An hour later - six total - still no tech. I then called and cancelled the job.

I called Four Seasons and took their earliest available appointment, which was 1.5 weeks after I called. We were given an 8am to 1pm window. On the day of service, the technician arrived at 3pm, two hours late. To his credit, the tech did call around 12 or 1 to let us know that they'd be late. When the tech arrived, he was not able to do any of the work because he had been told that we needed an AC unit serviced, not a furnace. He had the wrong tools. He rescheduled us for two days later for 8am to 1pm again. I called the office and complained that my husband had taken off a whole day of work to wait on them, that they were two hours late, and that they were unprepared to do any of the work. I told the office that I wanted to set up a more precise appointment time, rather than having to wait from 8am to who knows when, again. My appointment time was changed to an 8am to 11am window. This time, tech arrived during designated time and work was done satisfactorily.
Description of Work: Performed yearly service on furnace. Also, cut and reassembled flues on furnace and water heater so that they angle up. We are selling our house, and it was imperative that this work be completed before the closing.

Needed to replace radiators with forced air. A/C already existed. Gentleman came out for an estimate. He was prompt and very professional and offered wonderful advice. He gave a general verbal estimate and said he would follow up with a written estimate. He never faxed the estimate. I called the company 3 times just to get the written estimate. They never sent one. One lady finally called me back only to tell me that they would send it once they contacted the gentleman that gave the estimate. She promised a telephone call the next day. I have never heard from them since. Too bad, they seemed nice!

I was initially upset, but am impressed by their effort to take care of any problems and by their indication that they were upset that I wasnt pleased.
Description of Work: I sent a report in several weeks ago complaining about a tech from Four Seasons who wore muddy shoes in our house and didnt know how to operate our thermostat. I wanted the members of Angies List to know that Four Seasons called after seeing the report and said they had reprimanded the tech and also offered to do whatever they could to make it right. They were very upset about the negative report. I think this is one way that Angies List works well for consumers. And want to commend you and Four Seasons for caring about their clients. I would now hire this company again provided they follow through on their promises to rectify the situation.
