Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning

The work went very well, and the price was very competitive. They were quick, expedient and easy, and they came when I needed them. The unit had not been cleaned in probably several years, and they did the maintenance. I had them clean the furnaces and the vents. I was very pleased. They have offices in many cities. They have a central switchboard, and they switch the request to the appropriate location based on our address. They were fairly straight and did consistent work. The guys were knowledgeable. They were clean, neat and respectful of my apartment. I have a high-efficiency furnace. They cleaned and dusted and re-calibrated the heating system. I had a special coupon too. The tune up was about $89. They knocked off $100 from the cleaning of the vent system. I also asked them for a quote for air conditioning.

The quote that Four Seasons Heating & Cooling Company gave me was slightly lower than another company that I had contacted. I thought that the person who came out seemed to be only concerned all about the price. Even though he talked about the service, he did not point out something with regards to a problem with the existing venting. It was a pretty critical problem and the existing venting needed to be replaced with the installation of the new unit. Everyone else who came out to give me an estimate had noticed it but the person from Four Seasons Heating & Cooling Company. That was part of the reason why I decided not to go with them even when I knew that their price was lower.

Kevin removed a sensor and stuck his finger in the hole and from that determined that the heat exchanger was cracked and the furnace was inoperable and unsafe (he did not use a scope to check the heat exchanger visually). He quoted me a price of $4300 for a new furnace. I told Kevin my wife had just been laid off and our only source of income was gone. He then lowered the price to $4100. I told him we couldn't afford a new furnace right now and he offered zero % financing, but the price goes up $900. After more talking the price came down to $3500, but only if I signed right now. The high pressure sales job and scare tactics reminded me of a sleazy used car salesman. I told Kevin I did not feel comfortable making a large financial decision without research and price checking. He told me the price was only good for tonight (at this time after 8:00PM). I told him I understood, but I needed to think his offer over. The next day I had another HVAC company come out and inspect the furnace to get second opinion. The furnace started right up, was thoroughly inspected and it was determined that there were no dangerous heat exchanger cracks. I know I will eventually need a new furnace, but because of my current financial situation I especially resent the harsh and unprofessional tactics employed by Four Seasons. If not for my financial situation I probably would have fallen for this sales ruse. Update - The reason I did not offer Four Seasons a chance to re-examine my furnace is because I lost all trust in them. I was not offered to have the other contractor present at the re-examination. The bottom line is if they would have attempted to truly evaluate my furnace the first time and didn't go straight into high pressure sales mode, I probably would have bought a new furnace from them. However, after my original experience I do not feel like a can trust what they say. I would love to know the proper methods of checking a furnace for a cracked heat exchanger and not just gut feelings.

They did the air ducts free of charge. We chose them because of the Angie's List reading. We had them come in and give us an estimate. We had 3 companies come in and we picked them. They were right on with the pricing. They actually worked more than 8 hours a day to install everything. They were here until 8:30 at night, worked a long day and got everything up in running. They also installed an additional humidifier on the furnace which we didn't have before. They actually provide free service for air conditioning and furnace twice a year. We've got 24 hour on calls so if we have a problem they'll come anytime night or day including weekends at no extra charge. It was one of the deciding factors why we went with them.

My home was not getting warm and even though the furnace seemed to be working it would only stay on for a short time and then would turn off. I called 4 seasons and they came out within 3 hrs. The technician was courteous and explained the problem to me. The system needed to be cleaned. He cleaned it and it worked fine. He also gave me several helpful tips.

Everything went very well. It was a holiday weekend and there was no extra charge to come out and install it. Any issues that I did have they were able to get right back out and fix them. They were very clean and efficient with their work and I'm very happy with the service.

They were great, from quote to install. Received quote on day 1, decided to use them on day 2, they installed on day 3. Installers were friendly, knowledgeable, clean, thorough and did a great job. Price was very competitive (lowest in class of furnace) and the warrenty was 50% longer than competitors.

They were very good. They were punctual, did the job promptly and kept me informed, about what they did. They were very professional and I liked their services. I will continue to use them in future.

I had them inspect a boiler at one house and inspect a furnace at the other. The service was good for the boiler, but when the furnace went out in December, I called another company out, and everything they found indicated that Four Seasons didn?t do all of the work noted in the Big Deal. There were cracks in the furnace. If they had done an inspection, they would have seen the cracks. This other company also found debris, which indicates that the cleaning was not done at all.

I submitted a request for service online and received a phone call within 30 minutes to schedule. I was setup with a day/time in the next 2 days! The technician called when he was on his way to my home. When he arrived he put on shoe booties and explained what he was going to do. It did not take him long for the service, about 20 minutes and he then asked if I would be interested in having my air ducts cleaned. We discussed the furnace and the operation of the unit. The technician did seem to be in a hurry since he told me he was supposed to have the day off and the office called him in for 2 service calls and I was his 3rd. I did feel like I didn't get the great service I had experienced with everyone else at this company. I'm not going to let this hinder my decision for the next time. I will call Four Season's again.

I had them service my heating system and the next day I had water flowing from the furnace. I called them back, a technician came and quoted me $320, and repaired the same. I still had water flowing and had to call them back. They had to come in four times and finally they replaced it, free of cost. They were very responsive and my house was never so warm in the winter like the last time. Only the first technician was a little difficult to deal with, but, the other 3 were extremely polite and never lost their cool. They cleaned the place before they left. They were rated very high online and I still recommend their services. Their prices were fair and I got a good deal. They were extremely professional and I will continue to use their services in future.

I got them off of Angie's List. Their fix worked. The house is nice and toasty. They came when they said they were going to come. They looked at the system and knew how to fix it immediately. They didn't complain about how strange my system was, like another company did. They did the job. They figured out what was needed and fixed the issue.

Both installers were professional. Instead of one day job it took them 2 days to complete as they found an issue with A/C coil but that is not their issue. They cleaned the place nicely after installation. The best thing I liked about this company that there is someone to answer call 24/7 and they have engineer on standby and will arrive to fix any issue within 3-4 hours. Plus they offer 20 year warranty so that is good to have. I am happy with their service. Also, Denis De Rosa sales rep was highly knowledgeable and explained to us why one of our rooms is little colder compared to other rooms. It has less insulation in the roof and lots of windows. We bought an older house with very old furnace. Denis also told us that we can use our A/C for couple of more years and it is newer but furnace needs to be changed. We will call him in couple of years to change the A/C. Nice job guy!

I had two different experiences with them, and one of them was better than the other. When I called, I was able to make an appointment really quickly. I thought they were a good value for the money. The second person that came out was really knowledgeable. The first person who came out wasn't experienced enough. They tried to sell me two furnaces too quickly. The second guy had more knowledge about pretty much everything, so I was very happy with him.

Four Seasons Home Services cleaned the air ducts in my home. Our home was built in 1924 and by the looks of the debris and dirt they pulled out they had never been cleaned before. The duct cleaners were in our home for about 5 hours and did a great job. We also had their handyman come out and turn a closet into a pantry in our hallway right off of our kitchen. The handyman charged by the hour but worked quickly. I was concerned never having used a handyman before as to whether or not they would kind of milk the clock but that was not the case. Was very pleased and will use again.

I found them on Angie's List because they were offering a special. I took advantage of the special. I had them come out at the end of October to do a furnace maintenance and check. They said everything was fine, but they found a crack in the board. They came back a couple of days later and replace that board. Everything was fine until the early part of January. I called them back out, and they said it was the fuse. They relaced the fuse and it worked for a couple of days. I had to call them back. The next time they came out they said there were cracks in the heat exchange that could not be fixed. I ended up having to get a new furnace. They came back the next day to install it. While they were here they found a problem with the A/C. I had them fix that too which was another additional cost. I was very upset because I had already spent nearly $600.00 prior. They accomodated me by applying the $600.00 to the cost of the new furnace. I wished they could have addressed this problem the first time. I called customer service and the guy was really apologetic. They are a bit pricey. I think I could have gotten a better deal some place else, but I didn't have time to shop. I did like the fact that all the repair men that came were very professional. I had no problem with them. They came on time and explained everything to me. I asked tham a lot of questions and they were very patient and spent time with me. The installer did a beautiful job installing the furnace. He took his time and it looks great. They responded to my calls very quickly.

They came out for multiple visits. My husband handled the interaction and payment. I will say that it was probably one of the worst experiences of our lives. One of their repairmen tried to blackmail us a week before Christmas, saying that our entire water heater had to be replaced, or we wouldn't have hot water until after Christmas. He couldn't find the part that we needed to replace on the pump. I called my husband at work, and he said not to pay for a new water heater. He took a look at it when we got home, and he ordered the part himself. It arrived 24 hours later, and my husband installed itself with help from the company that manufactured the part. Everything was up and running after that. We reported it to Four Seasons, and they said they disciplined the repairman accordingly. It was a pretty nasty situation. It really seemed like he was trying to take advantage of us, not realizing that my husband knows quite a bit about this area. The repair guy who came out accidentally flipped our sump pump switch, so we had sewage backing up into our house two days later. We had to have raw sewage removed from our house literally days before Christmas. Our family was coming into town to stay with us. Their service people were extraordinarily apologetic, and they refunded us over $500. We had already paid for the part, so they refunded that money. They called both my husband and myself multiple times. We would never use their service again. To their credit, they were very apologetic. I believe that they don't train their people to extort people days for their Christmas. They definitely came out quickly, and they responded to our issues in a timely manner. I don't think they're the kind of company you want to use unless you know something about heating repair yourself. They take advantage of people who might not know better. I feel like he profiled us and assumed that my husband wasn't the sort of guy who knows his way around heating systems. You need to keep an eye on them. You shouldn't take their word for it. You should at least get a second opinion. They did try to make things right, but I can only imagine how many people they've ripped off.

I took advantage of Angie's Big Deal 20+ point certified fall furnace tune-up, but didn't schedule it till a week ago. I was given a window of 1-6pm on 2/12 and was told that the service tech would call before he showed up. Justin called a little before 1, and pulled into my driveway soon after. He checked my furnace, humidifier, went back out to get his shop vac and vacuumed the inside of my furnace. Friendly, professional, I'd use them again!

They had done our heating before, and they were very good. They were here a long time and they paid attention to detail. They did not leave until the work was done. We wanted to stay with the same company, so we called them. It was supposed to be a very quiet air conditioner. When they were done it was late at night already. The air conditioner was not quiet and I did not see the noise level different. We mentioned it to the person who was installing it. It was cold and not the ideal condition to install an air conditioner. I thought we would have to address the matter in the spring when we actually started using it. That was my only disappointment with them. They had claimed that the unit would be the quietest one, but it was not. He just shrugged his shoulders and went about his business. No one ever called back or followed through.

Good service, very professional and thorough. Inspected the furnace, cleaned the furnace and found the problem of why the furnace would not light (and run).

This was the second company we tried but we were dissatisfied. A salesperson came out to our house and made a lot of promises, but the workers that came out told us that it wasn?t possible so they left. I think the person that would do the work should come to the house for the estimate because this is the second time this has happened to me. They were very responsive and they always called me right back.

The problem began when power was restored after a power outage due to a snowstorm. The house was not warming up. My son-in-law checked it and gave me several areas that could be causing this problem. This was 2/2 late evening, today 2/3 I checked Angie's list and BBB and found Four Seasons which is close and has high ratings. They responded quickly. Service fee was $79.00. The estimate for the replacement was $798 with a service warranty or $650.00 w/o it. The unit was manufactured in 2003. I told him that I needed to check with my son-in-law, which I did. I am handicapped in a wheelchair, retired and caring for a mentally challenged grand-daughter. I HAVE BEEN WIDOWED FOR MANY MANY YEARS AND KNOW ONLY TOO WELL HOW WOMEN ARE EXPLOITED FOR ANY TYPE OF REPAIR. THAT IS THE REASON I JOINED ANGIE'S LIST. My son-in-law contacted someone he knew at another company, called me back and told me to pay the service fee and not make the repair. The other company came checked the blower fan - nothing is wrong with it. They literally tweaked some part and the furnace is working fine. The second company also put in a new thermostat (which I requested) in addition to fixing the furnace and the total was only $150.00. I cannot substantiate any of the stories that they had but among other repair companies FourSeasons is not recommended. I thought that I would advise you that four seasons did contact me on Saturday after reading this report and apologized for the incident and advised me that they would investigate. They called back and said that then repairman legitimately believed that the blower fan was the problem and that he was not trying to rip me off. They further stated that I would be refunded the amount of the service call and again apologized.

It went fine, but there was damage to my wall, floor trim and door trim. It was a tight fit, but no offer was made to repair or reduce invoice to cover repair costs. Quality rep called days later and I told them about it. Had to make another appointment for them to come out and take pictures and fill out a report. It's been weeks and I haven't heard from them. UPDATE: The Home Services Division finally came back out and repaired the damage upon installation. They did a very good job of patching the walls and trim and repainting..

Overall they were very prompt and courteous. The only difficulty was the technician had very basic english skills, so it was difficult to talk about the issue or to get his opinion on how to move forward.

It was good. We had been using another service. They at three in the morning, they have 24 hour emergency service, to replace the igniter. It has been fine so far. They do follow up after they have been here. If it is their fault or a faulty part they do not charge for the service call.
