We called approximately 7 p.m. after realizing the AC was not functioning at all. They were able to send someone the next morning between 8 and 12. Arrival was close to 8 a.m. even though I had missed the confirmation call. I was very grateful the technician stopped anyway. He was very professional and checked our system thoroughly. He quickly found faulty wiring and a part that was indicating wear, as well. He fixed the wiring first before making a firm recommendation about the part, which I appreciated. I was not crazy about replacing a part that was not yet broken but decided to go ahead. Part prices were significant markups, of course, from what could be purchased online, but that is to be expected and I appreciated the service, quality and timeliness. The technician also provided some education (requested) on central air maintenance. Overall a very good experience and I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: repaired wiring to central air conditioning unit, replaced a part that was wearing out and replaced the filter.

Friday night I notice that it was very hot in my house. I checked the air vents and noticed that only slightly cool air was coming out. No cold air, like usual. I went outside and looked at the ac unit. It wasn't on, the blade wasn't spinning. It was 84 degrees in my house. HOT HOT HOT. Saturday morning about 7:30 am I got on Angie's List and selected Four Seasons. I called F/S at 8:30 am. They told me there would be a $85.00 service charge. Another company (All Temps) wanted $125.00 because it was Saturday. They consider this as an emergency service call. Four Seasons is 24 hours service with the same $85.00 service charge. F/S told me that someone will call me between 10am-2pm. John Maddox the tech. called me about 10:30. He was at my house about 11am. I initial his paper work giving him authorization, then he went to work. He checked the unit and found the problem. He said it was a bad capacitor. He looked in his note book and said the part is $229.00. My thoughts were WOW. F/S charges a lot for a part that cost less than $50.00. It is the starter for ac unit. Looked it up on the web and youtube. I agreed to the price because I want it fixed NOW. My body and brain was frying. Hot, Hot, Hot. He replaced the part, then he checked for freon level. After taking care of everything outside, he came inside to check the thermostat and furnace system in the basement. He was very detailed. He turned my filter around because it was in backward and he turned off my humidifier which I thought it was already off. He told me not to store paper produce around my water heater because it could start a fire. I was very pleased with John's knowledge and the service he provided. My air condition was work within 30 minutes. A couple of hours later I received a call from Four Seasons asking if I was satisfy with the work. YES. Above all else Four Seasons give you a lifetime (parts) & labor guarantee. The lesson I learned was to get quick and good service it come with a price. I would paid for this service again in a heart beat. P.S. I got 15% off with Four Seasons Coupon on Angie's List. Now I am very cool.Thank again Four Seasons and John Maddox.

I recommend them to my son. I go three or four estimate and theirs was not the lowest. I already had a Lennox air conditioner and I wanted to stick with the same brand. The guy that came out and surveyed was very appreciative because I had saved all the paperwork from the old furnace that was installed 25 years ago. I made a flow chart and put the pros and cons for each company and Four Seasons came out ahead.
Description of Work: Four Seasons Heating, AC, and Plumbing put in my new air conditioner and furnace. They put in my central air conditioning last year; five months before that they put in a new furnace. For the two I spent $5000.

About 2 years ago our central air conditioner went out, we called 4 Seasons and had them come out to look at it. They found that it was a faulty wiring connection inside the unit and fixed it. Earlier this spring I had them come out to perform routine inspection and cleaning on the unit as I was moving across the country and wanted everything to be in good running order for my tenants who would be moving in. Yesterday I received a call from my management company saying that the AC had gone out, instead of having him call his usual repair service I told him to call 4 Seasons since they had a "Guarantee" for "No Breakdowns" after the clean and check. They came out and proceeded to tell me and the manager that the condensor was broken and that the unit needed to be replaced to the tune of about $4,000. My manager contacted his usual HVAC guy who came out and found that the condensor was fine and that the issue was with the wiring, he rewired the entire unit and now it's running again. Update I received a call from Four Seasons and they have refunded the service fee as per their "No Breakdowns" Guarantee. I greatly appreciate their prompt response, professionalism, and courtesy in resolving this matter.
Description of Work: Our air conditioner stopped working so we had them come out to inspect the unit to figure out what was wrong.

So far we've been pretty happy with Four Seasons. We've called them twice in the last three months, and each time they have been able to schedule an appointment same-day or next-day and have promptly diagnosed and fixed the problem.

To put it simply, Four Seasons was a ton of potential, but a failure in execution. We started out strong. My wife and I were looking for an A/C because our newborn daughter is sleeping on the first floor while our bedroom is on the second floor. The first floor and basement are heated with boiler heat, but we had an existing furnace on the second floor. We had used window units in the past, but due to neighbors who smoke in the alleyway between our houses, we didn't feel comfortable having our daughter's window open all summer, albeit with an A/C hopefully blocking out all the bad air. We got several quotes. The first came from a highly reputable vendor who said what we wanted couldn't happen, i.e. we wanted to run a line down to my daughter's room via the crawlspaces from the second floor furnace, which would also (fringe benefit) power A/C for the second floor as well. Instead, he suggested Mitsubishi Slims, the monstrous A/C units you see in hotels. In short, something that would like kill our house on resale. So we called Four Seasons, and our salesperson totally saw our vision, and said it could happen. We were prepared for holes in the ceiling and needing to drywall around exposed ventilation piping, but by and large, we were going to have the system we wanted. Come the installation day, they arrived right at the time we had requested from the salesperson (there was some miscommunication from the office who said they would arrive at 8 am, but ultimately, they were punctual). When we described the work as we understood it, the installer looked dumbfounded, saying he didn't think it would be possible, or that we would diminish the power of our system. We had him call the salesperson and his supervisor, and they said we could move ahead. Lo and behold, he was right. Our overhead crawlspace was too small to accommodate a new vent. In order to move forward, we would have to install vents that ran through our living space, condemning us to 5 ft. ceilings in some places. Again, a death to resale. They completed installation of the A/C and new furnace, knocked the price down to $4500, eliminating the cost of extra vents and labor. They also gave us a five year service warranty. All these things are great. But here is where things get not so great: A) Our salesperson came back and said, unless we wanted to run vents through our living space, the only option we had was a Mitsubishi Slim. Bad and worse. B) He did suggest we could have an in-ceiling unit installed in our daughter's room, and that he would get a quote from his office. Despite multiple emails to him where he acted dumbfounded as to why we hadn't gotten the quote, we have yet to be offered a workable solution for our daughter's room as summer approaches. C) I pointed out to him that an ad for Four Seasons that came out the next day after our installation showed that a new A/C and Furnace could be installed for $3700. I asked why ours was $4500. Let me tell you, these guys know about hot air.D) The first night it got hot on the second floor, we decided to at least try out our A/C. After leaving it on for 6 hours, the temp was still 87. We called their service line, and they arrived promptly to look at the condenser. Turns out our installer hadn't secured our coolant line correctly, and all the freon had leaked out of the system the moment we turned it on. Fortunately, we weren't charged for this mistake. Ultimately, we have a working A/C for one floor of our house, and we have multiple fans running in our daughter's room. We'll likely be forced to switch her to our bedroom, but I would have preferred to spend the $4500 on renovating our room for her and her room for us, rather than sinking it in a system that doesn't fulfill our expectations. However, we will be using them again. Their service team, from my experience, is impeccable. I'm just not sure about their Sales team.

The whole experience went very smoothly from checking out my old unit, getting an estimate on a new unit to having the new Lennox installed. Overall I was very pleased and feel if I do have a problem, Four Seasons will take care of it.
Description of Work: A servicman came out on Saturday and completely checked out my AC and confirmed by suspicions what was wrong and I was prepared to get an estimate for a new unit. Bill was very professional, answered all my questions and concerns, as I feel I was taken advantage of by my previous AC company, and had many questions. I had another estimate and Four Seasons matched the price and we arranged for installation the next Wednesday. The technicians Javier & Scott we very professional and did the entire job in about 3 hours. I am very satisfied and would recommend Four Seasons.

Very professional; and timely installation with exception of small cap on a "trap fitting" that was omitted causing water leakage. Another service person came early the next day and put on the cap. Subsequent calls to obtain information to complete "rebate paper work" were necessary and handled on a very timely basis after a call to the VP of Sales (origional sales person did nto return our calls promptly).

Called this company and they were out in about 2 hours. Jason came and was very professional and took his time explaining everything to me. He offered helpful tips on how to keep my AC working better as well as the furnace. I would definitely use Four Seasons again as well as Jason Hart. Great work!

I got a response from them immediately to have someone come out the next day to give a quote. The technician arrived the next day unprepared. He didn't have any paperwork with him. He inspected the unit and said that he would send us a quote by mail. That never happened. When we called to follow up, they apologized and said that their system had been down, and they would get a response to us. After still having received no quote, my husband called them back to talk to Toby to let them know that we never got any information from them. We never heard back, so we went with another company. The only thing good was their response to setting up an appointment to get a quote, but we never actually got the quote.

Overall the job went well. I have an issue with the company , however, for poor customer service after the repair call. I plan to get competitive quotes for a new system, but not from RJS. I had an appt. scheduled for the next day from them for an estimator to do a quote. I missed the appointment (my fault) but when the guy called me back I felt he was rude and flippantly commented when I set up another call "are you planing to be there next time?". He may have just been teasing but hard to say for sure. Also, a service call from my regular guys on this problem would have been about $120.00, but he was not available. Therefore, if you can wait maybe you can get it done for less money than I paid. To the credit of RJS though, they came right out and seemed to be very competent in their work.
Description of Work: Service man and helper checked out the AC system. They came on time (same day) and "calibrated" system and added almost two pounds of refrigerant. They indicated I had a capacitor leaking and that would be an expensive repair, better to get a new system. The serviced system is over 20 years old so a new system is probably in the wings.

called four seasons to my house for an estimate. Their come out to the house estimate rate was far less than others. Upon appraising the problem of our furnace they then gave us an estimate of $900 to repair. This was in addition to the bill of $80 for the estimate. Told them no thanks. Had 2 others come out. Both found that 4 seasons misdiagnosed the problem and in the end we got the furnace fixed for under $300. Will never use them again.fur

Called for an estimate to get a duct extended. They mentioned it would cost me $85 to have someone come to the house to give the estimate. If I could get paid to do estimates for people, I'm in the wrong business. They apologized, and said this is how they do business. I'm sure they have done a good job for people based on the reviews on Angies List, but I will pass on utilizing them if I have to pay to have them qive me a quote. All conversation for this information was done via a phone call.

Response from Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning
We appreciate your feedback and we were upfront and honest with our policies. When extending or modifying ductwork in an existing home it is necessary to have one of our engineers draw and calculate the capabilities of your existing equipment. When you extend, add, modify, or change a duct system in a home you can negatively impact the comfort and airflow to the entire house. We charge $85.00 for this service, which would have provided you with professional recommendations as well as drawings and other necessary costs, etc. Some companies will just come out and make modifications without taking into consideration the negative impact it could have on your system. Year after year, we continue to win the Angie’s List Super Service Award because we always do the job right. We apologize that you did not see the value in our $85.00 fee for these services.

Awesome! Gary came by and gave his estimate on a Saturday (of Easter weekend). He was very thorough. When I described the situation I was in, his recommendations ended up saving me quite a bit of money. In other words, he didn't try to sell me something I didn't need and he told me why. No pressure, no hard sell - plus super knowledgable, lots of experience, answered all of my questions. On Sunday, I had some buyer's remorse, but didn't want to bother anyone on Easter so I left an email. He called me back! Answered all of my questions. I apologized for bothering him on a Sunday and he told me to feel free to always call, even on Christmas day, he and Four Seasons would take care of me. And they did! The price I received for a Lennox Elite high efficiency furnace (plus powered humidifier plus filter plus chimney liner plus thermostat) was very fair compared to other quotes I received. Plus, the warranty was the best - it included service, in addition to parts and labor. (also a two year 100% money-back guarantee!) Justin and Bob came by first thing Monday morning, prompt, and professional. They were respectful of my home, laid drop cloths, and worked like crazy. They did not stop until it was perfect. It sounds corny - but it was like a work of art. We all stood there just admiring it. I could tell they took great pride in their work and it shows. It is so quiet compared to my old one, at first I thought it wasn't working - but its working great! Finally, when they cleaned up - my basement now looks better than how they found it. Absolutely thrilled with the price, service, and professionalism.

02/2005. We were forced to purchase a replacement heating system because our old one failed and caused our house to become an ice palace. We had used Four Seasons to replace our old air conditioning system; so we choose to call on them for heater replacement. Between the winter of 2005 and winter of 2011 the house was not in a livable state because of mold problems so we left the heat and air turned off to prevent the duct work from becoming contaminated. By July 2011 (lots of fighting with insurance company) I began the move-in process. Began by checking and replacing or repairing mechanicals (husband taught me something before he passed). I had all duct work replaced because of the length of time the mold was allowed to fester. 10/2011. Winter came and I needed to turn on the heat. Needless to say - it failed. I called Four Seasons and explained the story and they looked up history of install and knew who I was. They sent someone out to look at the problem. Almost $400 later I found out it would cost an additional $1600 to repair because of an engineering change that had occurred on my unit. I asked if the part was recalled and did I miss it. No. I asked if Trane could be called to stand behind the product since it really only worked 1/2 a winter season. No. So I called Trane. I found out Four Seasons was not and had not been a distributor for Trane. Trane sent me to a local distributor. In talking to the distributor he said that Four Seasons could call Trane and explain the history and so long as I could support the history Trane would PROBABLY would cover the entire expense. I called Four Seasons and relayed information. I kept in contact with Four Seasons and it was looking like a no answer. Meanwhile (FREEZING for my third day), I called the Trane distributor and asked who would be my Trane provider IF I had called for a recommended Trane firm. He told me Besco and gave me contact information. Shortened story- Besco said they could repair it for $800 today. Besco also said they would go back to Trane and get my money back for me; if they could. The morning after my unit was repaired; I received an early call from Four Seasons saying they could do the repair for free because Trane approved it. At this point I was ?slightly? angry because of the variance quoted between Four Seasons and Besco for the same work. Four Seasons wanted 2X the price ? and I was an existing customer who paid a lot of money for my furnace. I had also realized the initial install of the two stage heater was NEVER properly working. It was set for single stage! This on top of the venting errors! A couple of days later I realized the humidifier was not working and did not know if it ever worked properly because when it was installed with the new heater we asked to have it set to manual mode until the house was in order. The house did not need more moisture. So when the sweet person at Four Seasons called to tell me the response to twice the price I told her about the humidifier not working. She said since it was not noted as a separate item on the original invoice that there was nothing she could do. I was pretty certain my husband had asked for the entire heating system to be replaced. This would have been the humidifier too. But, in worse case the non-repair men from Four Seasons could have broken it while putting it in manual mode. I was too tired to fight some more. I was done with Four Seasons forever.

We had used Four Seasons to replace our old air conditioning system; so we choose to call on them for heater replacement. This was not a smooth installation process. The repair men sent did not know how to vent our heating system. The place they choose blocked the home security system and telephone block. Husband spoke with office repeatedly and they continued to resolve the problems. It took 4 visits! Still it was not right but livable because we had other opportunities with the insurance adjustor, my private adjustor and the remediation company. The venting was left with 4 90 degree bends in a 3 foot space. The installation was absolutely questionable. Had this been our only household issue it would have gotten more of our attention for a different resolution.

They were very efficient. They came out at the promised time. They did not mess around and got the job done. Their prices were comparable to other companies. I would use them again in the future if needed.
Description of Work: Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning replaced a stolen air-conditioning unit, which the other company said we would have to wait for a week for them to bring in a new unit.

We had 2 quotes on the installation of this system. Both were relatively close but Four Seasons warranties appeared stronger. Need for new system discovered during maintenance schedule from another HVAC contractor. Fortunately the shut down of the defective heater (bad pressure reading) occured during our very mild March weather. We also had the 2nd HVAC as a stand by. The existing Lennox heater was 27 years old. We had also been advised last year that we would soon need to replace the air conditioner since it was also old and its' parts would be difficul to replace. Curt arrived within 2 days to check systems and let us know what was needed and give us an estimate. Since we already had a bid we were fairly sure what we were looking at...expensive. Our decision was to go ahead and work was to be done on 3/27. Two gentlemen arrived on time just before 8:30 am and did not leave until 12 hours later. While they cleaned up they ran the systems and showed us how to program the thermostats. They advised my husband on the filters. The new filters will cost approx $100 but they should only need replacing once per year. We were happy with the work. ....... everyone was professional.and respectful of our home. The 2 men that installed were Dan and Franco. Absolutely everthing went without a hitch. We feel we have a responsive and responsible company, 4 Seasons, to cover future maintenance. We will use them on future jobs and recommend them to our friends and family.

Just want to thank Four Seaons and in particular my technician Wilfrid. I was treated with the outmost respect and he took the time to explain in detail what he was doing and what needed to be done. He always made sure I knew the price before he fixed anything. He did not try to sell my any extra services but explained all the things that Four Seasons has to offer. Very please with overall service and would definitely recommend and use again.
Description of Work: On Thursday March 15th my air conditioning went out. My thermostat would not work at all. I called Four Seasons that same day and scheduled an appointment for the next day. The service technichan "Wilfrid" was very punctual and called prior to his arrival. He asked me exactly what had happed then proceded to explain to me what he was going to look at first and then we would go from there. After checking my furnace and thermostat he thought he had determined what was wrong. A fuse had blown but he wanted to make sure that was all that was going on. After replacing the fuse (and explaining the cost before hand) he went on to check to make sure everything was working correctly. Come to find out that the fuse continued to blow and it was a faulty wire in my furnance and a blow fuse in my air conditioning unit.
