The service representative was courteous, professional and took his time explaining what he was doing. He removed his shoes before entering our home and put on booties to protect our floors and carpeting. Per our request, he called 10 minutes before his arrival so that we could meet him there. The only thing that is bothersome, is that the customer is given a 4 hour window - which is a very long time to wait . Fortunately, we were only 10 minutes away when he called so we met him there. This is our second residence. They also service our main residence and we are very pleased.
Description of Work: Per our maintenance agreement, the service technician checked the air conditioner unit, freon level, controls, etc. to make sure it would run smoothly throughout the summer months

Kind of shocked by what just happened given the great reviews on this site. Four Seasons came out to perform a routine maintenance and cleaning of our HVAC. My wife stayed home for the afternoon so that she would be able to let the technician in during the window provided. When he arrived, the repairman employed the tactics of a used car mechanic: he tried to convince my wife that the motor on the heater was broken and that we needed to buy a new one before he could perform the routine cleaning. When my wife explained that the motor has been working fine, has recently been inspected, demonstrated that the motor worked by twice turning on the heat, and asked the service technician to complete the cleaning, he said that he could not complete the work we asked him to do unless we bought the motor. In other words, we couldn't get the service we asked for unless we bought an expensive part that we don't want to buy. Even if the part needed to be replaced - and it doesn't - we told Four Seasons that we were not interested and they refused to provide the service that we asked them for. Not only did they waste our time but the repairman then insisted that we pay the $85 fee for the visit even though he wouldn't do the work that we asked him to do. Altogether, a very bad experience and not what I expect from a company that has received an Angie's list service award. We've called Four Seasons customer service to complain and they say they are going to perform an "internal review" on whether they will waive the $85 fee which, after the service we received, I have no intention of paying. UPDATE: Four Seasons has told us that, after their internal review, they will not be charging us the $85 site visit fee. While I still can't say much positive about the actual maintenance visit, I appreciate that Four Seasons addressed our complaint quickly and waived the fee. Based on that, I am adjusting the "responsiveness" and "professionalism" scores up a grade along with the overall grade from "F" to "D".
Description of Work: Four Seasons was asked to perform a routine maintenance and cleaning of our Heating and AC. After my wife refused to buy an expensive new motor for the heater that we did not need (the motor is slow but works fine), the repairman refused to do any of the work we asked for and tried to charge us $85 for the site visit.

Four Seasons was one of several AC contractors I called to get a quote on a replacement unit. They all quoted the same size (2.5 ton) unit, though they all represented different OEM's. Four Seasons was the highest price quote, though they offered a price match policy. I emailed to see if they could improve their price and ultimately they did match the price (although the policy says they'll beat it by $250). They did however add 3 years to the warranty and will provide 3 years of free tune-ups. This updated proposal ended up being the best of the bunch, so I decided to give them the job. I asked for a Saturday AM install time, and it was granted...no questions asked. The techs were supposed to call on their way to my house. However, at about 8AM, they arrived without a call. I questioned the techs and they showed me the number they had on file for me, which was my office number. He said he did call it (which I verified was correct the following Monday). I guess they got my office number as I initially made contact with them from work. During that conversation, they asked for all of my contact information and I never gave them my office number, so I guess it was via caller ID or something? Anyway, not a huge deal, but a bit of a nuisance. That was about the extent of the problems. The techs did a good job and were pretty clean about things. They finished up around 1 that afternoon and so far the equipment is working well.

The gentlemen who came to my home were very courtesy and professional. They went above and beyond what I expected. I could not have been happier with their service and would recommend them to anyone.

.I awoke at 7:30 on Christmas Eve morning to a very cold house. We have a gas boiler and I noticed that the pilot was not lit. I called Four Seasons on the recommendation of my Brother. I was told by yhe person hadling the call that a Technician would arrive between 11:00am and 2:00pm.The Technician Bob Roberts was in our home at 10:15am.He advised us of possible causes from minor to major.Luckily ours was simply a Thermocoupler which he replaced. He also checked other areas, gave us advice on future maintenance. He answered our questions, and was out the door by 11:00am. Holiday time is always stressful, and this went so well that I could hardly believe it. I will be calling Four Seasons for the annual inspection of the Boiler.

I had to pay $85 to get the estimate to move our air conditioner condensing unit. They did say when I scheduled the appointment that it would cost me $85 for the service call. At the time, I thought that I would have them do the work, so I didn't think much about it until I found out the price and it was so high - about 40% of the cost of installing a brand new air conditioner - that I started making other calls. The Four Seasons estimate was $1500; far above any of the other estimates that I got subsequently (which were free). Of the other estimate, I got two estimates for $1200, one for $600 and another for $500. Needless to say, I won't be calling Four Seasons again. On the positive side, they were punctual and it was easy to schedule the appointment.

They sent a man out on a Saturday (no extra charge) to rod the sewer line and I was kind of uncomfortable with the work he did as I didn't get any information on my report other than I had roots. I wanted to know where, how far he rodded and how many pockets were down there, etc. I then called Andrew and he sent out Kevin to camera the line. There was a situation the Friday he came out and he said he would send his best guy to re rod and video the sewer Monday and I could watch the whole proceedure and ask all the questions I wanted to feel comfortable with the job at no extra cost. Chris came out, rodded and videoed the line and gave me exactly the information and recommendations that I wanted. Four Seasons is well known for its HVAC division, but the plumbing is relatively new. I thought I would have a problem when I called them back with my concern, but I found Andrew & Kevin very accomodating and did everything possible to make me a happy customer. Chris was very professional and did a great job.

Was able to schedule time to work from home between 1-6 pm on the day of appointment. Received a phone call from the technician at 5:15 that there was potential weather in the area and if possible could we reschedule the appointment at my earliest convenience. I understood the issue and said yes but would need to do it on Saturday because I could not take any more time off of work. He said that would not be a problem. The tech called the office and confirmed an appointment for me on Saturday between 8-1. He then called me back to confirm. Five minutes later I relieved a call from four seasons office and they told me the Saturdays were no longer available and that I would have to do a a mid week. When I told her the issue, the reason for the reschedule, and that I could not take anymore half days she said there were no Saturday appts available and I could take the midweek or there was nothing. I had used 4 seasons for several years to do furnace and a/c check ups but have never been treated like this.

Response from Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning
Four Seasons has spoken to the customer in regards to his appointment being rescheduled due to the overwhelming call volume as a result of the storms and flooding. Four Seasons will be performing a free tune-up on the customer’s air conditioner on Saturday, April 27th. We would like to thank the customer for their patience and understanding during the extreme weather we have been experiencing.

We had our furnace's annual heating tune up but were having issues with it. The company came back out, but it still didn't sound right. Of-course it totally broke during the holidays. Four Seasons came out on time as promised, gave us an estimate. We decided to just replace the furnace due to its age. The job was completed the next day. The workmen were polite, explained everything, and check the air conditioning also to make sure the furnace and air unit were compatible. The service we received was quality; the workmen took pride in their job. We will use them again.

they were able to get someone out very quickly within the next business day. and they were also able to work w/ my scheudle for the follow up appts.
Description of Work: all three service techs were professional and seemed knowladable. however, the problem did not get corrected until the last guy came out to install the defective part that i paid for. it sort of gives the impression that the best most experienced guy only comes out after your problem goes un-resolved. but on the plus side, both of the first two techs were very professional and even found a way to give me the coupon price. so all in all a positive experience.

After I realized our air conditioner wasn't working, I searched Angie's List to find someone to come out. I narrowed the search down to Four Seasons. I immediately called them and said that I was having a problem with my air conditioner. I swear no more than 10 minutes later I had someone at my door. I explained the problem and he went to check it out. He told me that the compressor was blown. After giving me all my options, I opted to replace the air conditioner. He sat with me and explained all the features each of the air conditioners had, and told me which model for me. I chose to upgrade the model to an energy efficient one. About a 1/2 hour later the new air conditioner was here. He told me that it would take about 8 hours to replace. They put the air conditioner in, attached it with the furnace, and also fixed my humidifier and reran the tubing and locked it all down (the humidifier was giving us a problem, but I didn't expect them to fix it). The guys finally left around 1:00 in the morning. I can't say enough about how friendly, considerate, and understanding they all were. They even cleaned my furnace and repaired the humidifier (without me asking). I didn't expect to replace and whole air conditioning system or cough up over $4,000, but the decision was a good one. They even told me that I could claim the air conditioner on my taxes. They all went about and beyond and I was greatly appreciative to them. I would definitely use them again!! Giuseppe was our tech and he said all I need to do is ask for him next time.

They came and installed the furnace flash central air and seem they enjoyed their work. It’s been a while but we have them come out like to do the maintenance stuff like that. Nothing broke down its just like they replace the filter and clean everything and just the maintenance you got to do every year. It seems to be pretty good. They seem pretty competitive.

I rarely fill out surveys or write reviews. I didn't even want to join Angie's List. I am making an exception with Four Season's Air Duct Cleaning. I am allergic to dust. We had just removed carpeting and put wood floors and wanted to get dust from wood laminate cutting out of ducts. I thoroughly investigated the 'process' on how the company cleaned the ducts instead of just a cost analysis. What I discovered was that only Four Season's takes off every vent cover and seals it with plastic to create as near a perfect vacuum in duct work as physically possible. Then they have a physical, flexible, rubber, whip tubing the cleans every inch of the ducts and the vacuum system pulls the debris through three filters. I asked to see the first, main filter before and after cleaning to see if I was getting my money's worth because the were a bit higher priced than the other alternatives I compared. Also a plus was that the price was firm. I did not have to pay by the number of vents in or out of the system. I have never felt so good about spending money or about my ability to breath better after the service. We had been smelling dead mice for over 2 weeks but couldn't locate the bodies. They were sucked out and found in the first stage filter when I asked them to open it up. In addition, I saw a 3 foot section of wire which no ordinary non-sealed vent process never would have pulled out. I didn't even to check the other two filters. I asked when I should have it done again and they said 6 years unless we encountered a major event like we did with wood laminate saw dust. So my real extended cost is $83 per year to breath easier. There never was any laminate flooring sawdust in our system, it was all accumulated dust from last time our ducts were cleaned two years ago by another company that didn't have the 'process' to do a good job. We hate to think that we were breathing dead mice corpses and what might have happened to my lungs if these things had been left to decay longer. They had gained entrance to the system when I had removed the grill work for a week from my garage when paining the walls. You can get cheaper in my opinion but not better. Shop based on the 'process' used and not just on price. Their website video also helped to explain their processes. The two young men who did the job explained everything they were going to do ahead of time and then took my on a post service tour where they had made entrances into the duct work to show they were professionally grommeted and closed up. I can't find their names. They should be singled out.
Description of Work: We had a total house vent cleaning after installing wood laminate flooring where sawdust had been sucked into the duct work. I had asthma and other breathing issues which is why we got rid the carpeting. The details are below. Don't just buy service on price. Investigate how the company actually does the work and cleans the ducts. If the vendor's 'process', the mechanics of how they do the cleaning, is not good, the results won't be good. Ask questions!

Description of Work: I called and explained the services I needed performed. Much to my surprise I was called back to confirm and set an appointment at 8:45 pm on a Sunday- that part was great. Then the service tech (very nice and professional) said they could not perform any of them- he called the shop to confirm, They confirmed that they could not do any of the work I requested. Then they charged me for a service call any how! There is no way I am using them again! They wasted my time and charged me $85.00 for something they knew they would not be able to perform!
