Ron Kirk came out and sold us on the windows and we were able to take advantage of the $1 installation cost.  Ron measured the windows and placed a Feldco sticker on each window for the Feldco follow up visit.  Dan from Feldco stopped by to measure all of the windows and verify dimensions.  
2 weeks later, the windows were installed.  At first, the installer said that he would be done in 1 day (which was way too much work to do in 1 day).  It took them 1.5 days to complete the job.  3 isnatllers were supposed to be onsite but 2 showed up instead.  There was touch up caulking that had to be redone and a window screen was bent.  The new window screen and touch up caulking was completed within the following 2 weeks.  It took them some days to get to the touch up since this was their busiest time of the year.
The windows are great!  The noise reduction is way better than I could have ever imagined.  The Feldco team is very impressive with their superb internal communications.  Whenever you relate anything to a single person at Feldco, it is as if you related the info to everyone in the company.  They have done a great job satisfying my concerns and over-reactions at times. I have already sold Feldco windows to 2 people I know after they inspected the installation.

When I contacted Feldco I explicitly stated I only need (1) window replaced, is this job too small for you?  Their response was no job is too small.  For kicks, I also wanted an estimate to replace an old front screen/storm door.  Once Neal Levine took the measurements, he asked to go inside my home, which I stated would not work for my family.  He then said it would be hard to sign an agreement without going inside on a table to sign the agreement.  I told him I had no intention of agreeing to anything as Feldco was one of several estimates I was seeking.  Neal then said Feldco would NEVER said him back for only (1) window and (1) door.  WHAT?  Really a family owned company doesn't appreciate business of any size?  I told him we are done and went inside.  I read Angie's Lists reviews which stated Feldco had a high pressure sell tactic and should have trusted those reviews.  Never again Feldco and I will spread the word.  Use the #1 family owned rated windows/siding company on Angie's list...they know how to treat customers/jobs...even the small ones.

The installation at the time was great.  Since then, I have paid them $50 for a "service" call to repair a broken window under warranty.  They didn't show up twice and were late the third time.  No-one returns calls from the service department and nobody has updated me as to when I can expect my replacement window for which I paid $50 for a service call.  I was told on 3 seperate occasions that the manager would call me back and he never has.
Also, a large screen is torn and they will not make me a new one as they claim "we don't make those screens anymore so we don't support them."  They told me to go to a local hardware store; however, the local hardware stores do not repair frames.
Bottom line - they are very responsive to sales calls and install quickly.  They are TERRIBLE at customer service after installation.
NOTE: - the windows are not custom sizes.  They will make the casing for the window wider as it is cheaper for them to give you vinyl vs. actual glass.  We lost several inches of glass on many windows because they just mad the frame wider.  They will not tell you this during the sales pitch.

We like him very much. They were in very quickly to put them up, after we ordered them. We were told that it would take six to eight weeks and they were right. Their installers were very professional. They called a couple of times to see if everything was all right. We also got a thank you note from the salesman.

My wife and I went to the showroom and they were right on it right away.  The guy came out within two days and he had a sheet with him that had a warning on it to be cautious just because we are in a bungalow district now.  He made a very favorable impression in that respect and said that they didn’t want to jeopardize any clients.  The fact that he said that really left a very favorable impression.  He was honest and told me he couldn’t sell me vinyl windows and recommended a company that would do it.  He was going to check with the city and get back to me though and he said he was still waiting for an answer from the city.  So I just gave up now and haven’t researched it further, and that project just went on the back burner temporarily.  I am not criticizing in fact I appreciate his honesty.  The sales person was honest and conscientious.

I've had them before, this was my second time. This time they've put in windows at the back of the house. This is another provider I like. I like the product. The windows seem to be fairly well made. My complaints about them have been very minor. This time I was a little disappointed in it that I had to clean the windows afterward and last time I had to do nothing. Everything was in and the job was well done. I was happy with the windows, but I had to clean up a lot more mess than I did the last time. I am generally pleased. I most certainly will use them again.

I expected a technician to come and explain the process, take measurements, etc. and leave me with a formal quote.  What I got was a salesman who pushed very hard for me to sign a deal that day.  When I told him I wanted to get some other estimates, he said "I wish you had gotten your other estimates first."  What?  When I spoke to the person at the office setting up the appointment, no one mentioned that I should get all my other estimates first!  Why?  He offered 50% off windows instead of the $1 installation sale, if I would sign "today" which he said would save me more money.  When I balked at being pushed to sign the deal and make a deposit, he hinted that there might be additional savings if I let him put a sign in the yard.  So what's the real price I asked?  He got snippy and wrote a number on a piece of notebook paper and left that with me.  Not even a formal company quote.  He literally stalked out of the house.
I've done lots of work with lots of good and not-to-good contractors.  I expect an estimate that includes a materials list, approximate labor hours, extras (Permit costs, e.g.) on a letterhead or some other document that looks professional and includes terms, etc.  And I expect that quote or estimate to be valid for at least 14 days. 
I got a call the next day from the Feldco office asking about my experience and I told the woman my story.  She spoke as though this was not their standard protocol and then remarked that her Production Manager could probably get me a better price.  WHAT?  Again with the games.
So I can't comment on their product or workmanship - just their sales process which seems very  questionable to me.

From original appointment to installation, it was very smooth.  Feldco was very accomodating. We had one weather interruption. Two man crew was on time. Put down tarp through out the house, removed blinds and re-installed them.
They were extremely pleasant, answering all my questions and showed me special details of the windows. 
When they finished, they cleaned up inside and outside.  They vacuumed every room where they worked
They get a A in my book and I will rcommend them to my friends and neighbors.

The experience was fantastic.  They are very good.  We had another two large windows done by a specialty company and we were not satisfied with the work that they did.  We did a lot of interviews to get two more done.  We weren't going to go back to the first one.  Feldco did a better job with a better product than we had it done a year before.  It was quicker and lesser cost.  It looks much better.  They knew what they were doing because the other guys were fumbling around.  They were very good at addressing any issues we had.

Everything went great, from the time we met with the salesman, all the way thru the install!  We ordered the windows and then about a week later called them to add a screen door, they sent out someone to measure and I had the door the same time I got the windows!  The installers showed up when I was told they would, I was informed of any issues they ran into with the install.  It took about 3 days total. and when they finished everything was cleaned up!  I would recommend Feldco any time!

They really good. We're pleased with their service. Their price is pretty fair. They're really nice. They got good workers. They cleaned up after the job. When they came out, the guy just left us with the estimate and the windows that we wanted. They came and took measurements again and said it will be about 4 weeks to have the windows done. We really wanted them to get done that time. But that worked out alright. The guys who came were a little conscientious about a few things but still pretty good.

During May their two for one window offer is all windows are $450.00. Ending in JUne all windows then jump to Around $760 per window. I dealt with their new office now open in Rockford IL.

I think anytime, a major renovation is done on a home, the client is apprehensive and wants to make sure the product will be reliable and cost effective. I received several quotes from other companies, asked my acquaintances and family members who had windows installed about their level of satisfaction, and finally decided on Feldco after my son reported what a good job they had done on their home.

The salesman was terribly pushy which was part of the reason we placed a deposit down with them. We were told the salesman would be here for about a hour. After three hours we needed to get him out of our home and the only way to do so seemed to be to place a deposit. He had effectively worn us down but who wouldn't be after so many hours? We had another company scheduled to come out a few days later with another estimate. To our surprise, despite Feldco only replacing our windows with inserts, (the wrong way to replace a window, not removing the part of the old windows that leak but rather a bandaid on the way the look, not the way they function), this other company, who will fully rebuild the frames to the windows, was $300 less expensive!!! $300 less expensive for not only proper window replacement but for a higher quality window! As if that was not insult enough, when we called Feldco to cancel our relatively low cost window replacement, (only 6 windows) suddenly the "low low cost" the salesman had originally was reduced by $1000 dollars!!! A thousand dollars on a $4 k window replacement job?!? I suppose they thought we'd be so pleased that the cost to us would now only be $3k but never considered that we may simply feel like this salesman, who was still making his cut off this deal I'm sure, had taken full advantage of us and almost had us down for an extremely expensive cheap window insert job. Needless to say, the calls from him now have been endless since our canceling, and we would expect nothing less given what all we've learned from this experience and who this company actually is. In short, they are a company to avoid at all costs and hope this review inclines even one person to not make the call to them as we did. Should you make that call for an estimate, be sure and clear your entire day out for the estimate because that's how long they will be at your home for! I can only imagine how long they would have been here for had we not given them a down payment. As I said before, we'd be happy to let them keep the deposit if it meant they would no longer call and harass us into going with them but that doesn't seem to be an option....we may end up simply putting a block on their phone number if the calls continue, however we never saw any of this coming from simply wanting to have new windows in our recently purchased home.

I thought from estimate to installation the experience was excellent.  I walked in the the Rockford, IL office to make an appointment for the estimate.  The windows and doors are very nice with a wide variety of colors and styles to choose from.   Installation was fast and clean.  All the employees were very professional.  I could have spent a little less somewhere else but I thought the quality of the products and the quality of the installation was well worth it.
