They were very easy to schedule an appointment to provided an estimate. The estimator was nice and professional. Their quote was reasonable compared to the other three quotes that I received. In the end I decided to go with a different company because of the additional attention to detail that the other company provided when reviewing my house and existing AC/Furnace set up.

The building where I had Deljo replace the gravity furnace has been in my family since my great-grandfather built it in the late 1800's.  I grew up in that building.   The old octopus serviced the 1st floor apartment.  I have no idea how old it was, but I can say with authority that it was, at its youngest, 60 years old.  Just looking at it, I suspect it may have started its life as a coal-fed furnace and was converted to gas many years ago.  By the look of it, it could very well have dated back to the early 1900's - or maybe my
great-grandfather even installed the thing when he built the place.
 
The octopus stopped working and was leaking gas so the gas company shut it down.  I consulted Angie's List, found Deljo and placed a service call.  Their tech came out the day after Labor Day and declared it officially dead.  Needing a new furnace right away for my tenant who lives there now, the Deljo tech arranged to have Frank, their salesperson, come the same day to do a
quote on a new system.  I met Frank there and immediately found him to be extremely knowledgeable, professional and honorable.  He stayed this way throughout the entire process.  He carefully assessed the situation and suggested adding additional vents to the living room where none currently existed to provide more heat in what was likely a "cold
zone".  I did get other quotes - they couldn't hold a candle to what Frank did.
 
Frank sent me the quote a couple of days later and I had sticker shock.  I asked him to research alternatives.  He did, and he ended up finding an alternative unit that was less expensive AND brought with it a $500 rebate from the gas company, vs. the $300 rebate on the unit he originally quoted.  I accepted the quote less than a week ago and as of today, the job is done. 
 
Per Frank's instruction, before the job was done I had to contract an asbestos abatement company to remove the antique octopus furnace and all related asbestos-taped ductwork before the Deljo crew would even touch the job.  That happened on Monday, and Deljo's two-man crew followed to begin the new ductwork runs and furnace install on Tuesday and today.  The job was finished  at
1PM today.  So in a matter of 4 business days from the time I accepted Deljo's proposal, the job was done most professionally and efficiently. And, they offered one-year no-interest financing through Wells Fargo, which I really needed given the cost of the job.
 
The Deljo team made a very stressful situation much less so, because of their knowledge and professionalism.  Frank was great every step of the way.  He made sound, solid recommendations on a new system, and he met me more than half-way to find less expensive solutions.   
 
My tenant - the recipient of the new furnace - could not say enough about the crew who did all the work the last two days.  She said they were very knowledgeable, professional and respectful of the property and of her space.  She said they worked diligently, non-stop and very quietly.  She was very pleased.  They also gave her insightful guidance on the use of the new
furnace and the new stat they installed. 
 
By ironic coincidence, now the heat in my own 2-flat is out.  After the last two cool nights, the radiators should have kicked in but they were cold the last two mornings.  Heretofore we have used another company for the routine checks on our boiler.  But I have been so pleased with what Deljo has done for me, I called today to arrange to have our boiler checked.  
Deljo did a great job - I cannot thank them enough.  They were very professional, efficient and accommodating.  I am a happy customer!

The estimates were given after multiple calls and corrections. On the main issue which was the difference in cooling, the service person Andrew says that "the water provided by building on the North Side is warmer than the water provided on the south side. Possibly issue with building's supply temp". We believed it and paid the amount asked for (normal price of $114 was discounted to $64 as I had printed out a discount coupon). After the technician left,t he building engineer happened to stop by the condo and we asked him why the thermostat on the north side was showing a higher temp - he promptly looked and said that the valve for cold water supply was turned off as it looked like there was a leak in the coil. This was quite shocking - the technician from Deljo had missed out a clear and simple detail and instead pointed the finger at the building water temp. This was quite disappointing to begin with. I decided at that point that if the person doesn't even observe a turned off valve, I didn't want to go with them. But I still needed to know the cost of replacing the leaking coil. My friend had taken pictures of the coil so I thought I would call the office and just get a verbal estimate. The person who attended the call told me that since its a part I need, they would get the parts sales person Carlos to call me the next day. Carlos calls and even though I was out of town, I located the photos and sent it to him. He promised to call in 5 mins but when I didn't hear from him in 30 minutes I called back only to be told that he had left for the day. What kind of service is this that you promise to call back right away and then leave for the weekend? The customer service lady tried to get me some info but couldn't and promised to get Carlos to call me back on Monday. That was 4 days back - I am yet to hear from Carlos. Looks like Deljo has a pattern of poor customer service even at an estimate stage - I shudder to think what would happen if I were to work with them. Maybe my coil replacement wasn't meaty enough of an order for them so they ignored me; all they had to do was call and let me know they could not do it. Extremely disappointing; I want to make sure none of my friends ever use them. I went with Angie's review of this company and I will now quite careful of other highly rated Angie's Listers.

They've been out 5 times and have not charged me for 2 of the service calls. They've been very proactive and good about troubleshooting for solutions short of installing a new system. They've been very responsive every time I call.

This was a terrible experience. The leaks are in the kids bedrooms and Master bedroom. So if this doesn't get evaluated we'll need to leave the house. They didn't convey any sense of urgency. We had a Carbon Monoxide Emergency and I called to have someone come out to investigate the issue. I was told that nobody could come out until late the next day. Obviously, I need someone today. I said that and said goodbye and the lady over the phone was very "whatever" with her "goodbye".

Deljo is the best A/C & furnace company I've worked with. After multiple bad experiences with Four Seasons (how they have a good rating on this site is beyond me), a neighbor recommended Deljo. From the first conversation with the receptionist to the end of the installation, I was happy working with Deljo (even knowing I'd be forking over $5K). The company accommodated all of our requests (even challenging ones), and we're very happy with the new AC & furnace unit in our house.

My heater thermostat was not working properly. From time to time it would go berserk and did not shut the heater off as it was supposed to when the actual temperature inside the house far exceeded the set temperature of the thermostat which was quite scary. When that happened, I had to shut the heater off manually . I found Deljo on Angie's List and was very glad that I did. The receptionist who answered the phone was nice and friendly. I asked her some questions that she was not sure about so she put one of the owners on the phone. Not only he was very knowledgeable about the products that he offered, he was very nice, friendly and cheerful. He described each make and model, explained its features and told me exactly how much it would cost. The appointment was set up and the technician called me to let me know when he would arrive. He showed up on time. Not only he checked my old thermostat and its batteries thoroughly, he also took time to check the related electrical system, switch and other related device. The technician's name was Greg B. He was very nice, friendly, courteous, patient and knew what he was doing. I had a new thermostat installed and Greg kindly showed me how it worked and made sure that I really knew how to operate it.

I am very happy with Deljo service and its team. I would use their service again and would recommend this company to anyone without any hesitation.

Deljo was, as usual, a pleasure to work with. The appointment was made quickly. The technician called ahead of time to confirm he was on his way. 

He was careful and clean in our house. While Deljo offered to "take a look" at our gas starter, they were upfront that it wasn't their area of specialty. But the technician really spent some time trying to figure out why the gas starter wouldn't light. He checked numerous things for us, and even spent time checking the downstairs, gas-only fireplace, to ensure that was getting gas. 

The price reflects an annual contract for both our heating maintenance in fall and our air conditioning maintenance in the summer. We've used Deljo several times and have never been disappointed in their service.

Unfortunately, Deljo was not able to diagnose and fix my furnace issue on the first visit, and I was not willing to have them come out again to fix the problem.  Mark kindly offered to not charge the $120 for the first visit, an offer which I accepted.  It's hard to find that level of professionalism and dedication to customer loyalty these days.  Although my problem was not discovered or fixed by Deljo, I would recommend Deljo and would use them again. 

Jim was sent to look at my furnace, and he was very professional and arrived during the promised window of time.

Not a problem. They had to come back because I didn't have access to the A/C unit. But They coordinated that with owner without my having to be there. with no additional charge. I even took out a year long maintenance contract that they applied all the work to.

I have a maintenance agreement with Deljo Heating.  The Deljo office called and scheduled the furnace maintenance service during a two hour window on a day and time of my choice.  When the technician was available earlier than expected, the office called and checked with me to see if the tech could come earlier.  He arrived and performed the maintenance services.  He was efficient and cleaned up each space before he left it removing the parts that he replaced.  When he came into the house, he took off his shoes and left them next to the door.  Before he left, he explained everything that he had done.

This company has installed central air and heat in several of my rental units. They are a fairly large company and they do a lot of service work and installation for both commercial and residential. They are very responsive and not the cheapest guys on the block but they have professional guys. A couple of the problems were rather obscure and their regular technician had their ace troubleshooter there to track down the difficulty within an hour. I will continue to use this company.
