There a number of challenges but Dave got everything working.

I made an appointment with this company after getting an estimate. They were right on time and began work in the master bedroom to remove the existing Casablanca fan - the bedroom has vaulted ceilings that are about 15' high. The new Casablanca fan was installed in it's place and a new wall remote switch was also installed. The work was done professionally and correctly - no issues at all.

I needed to have a fun hung in a lofted bedroom, I called numerous companies to no avail. Dave from D&S returned my message promptly, and was able to do the job quickly and for not a crazy amount! Have already recommended their services to friends.

It went perfect. He came and fixed the fan and left.

It went beautifully I have used them before and they have done a number of fans for me and they always do good work. The prices are reasonable and they also do regular electric work.

Although Dave was on vacation, he returned my call that afternoon. After listening to my description of my fan's issue and asking questions, he gave me clear, troubleshooting instructions to follow. Upon following his instructions, my fan worked saving me a repair visit/charge!

Fantastic.  Dave and his son know their stuff. Very professional, responsive.  Outstanding job in 2 very old buildings, which everyone knows never allows a straightforward repair job to happen without running into problems.  Dave has seen it and done it all and was a pleasure to deal with.  Good old fashioned customer service is a rarity, but he provides it.

Very responsive, things were done quickly and professionally, I wish I had called him sooner! Understands budget constraints and got us two Casablanca fans for the other two bedrooms and were installed in no time. Would not hesitate to call him again.

The service was fine. He was fine. He did what he said he was going to do on time.

Provider was helpful, and did a good job.  I was disappointed in how long it took to get the needed part, but this wasn't the fault of the provider. 
Provider had installed 3 ceiling fans for me several years ago, in a very thorough and professional manner.

Though his specialty is Casablanca fans, Dave is very knowledgeable about any brand of ceiling fan. On the specified day, he arrived on time and ready to get to work installing two Emerson ceiling fans, which he did quickly and efficiently. He also quickly diagnosed and fixed problems with two older ceiling fans. When a noise problem arose with one of the new fans a few days after installation, Dave returned at the appointed time and took care of it...without charge. We couldn't have asked for better service.

Came to Angies list to find the phone number for some installation I hope he does. Decided to write a review on some recent work as I was not sure he was listed here. Dave did some serious rewiring a while back when the fan kept "blowing out."
More recently - seeminlgy our of the blue - the fan started to wobble horribly on high speeds. Big Time.
Dave came out took a look and found that one of the blades had a truly minor (to my eye barely visible when pointed out) "bing or dent." (Most likely from "kissing a cupboard door.") Dave explained the options: Buy and install five new blades - NOT to try and fix this one or to try and buy just one "same" blade - or to use the good four blades as a four v five blade fan. I liked that final choice and Dave took out the other four blades and re installed them with proper spacing for a four blade fan. All works 100% right.

Dave was great very professional arrived on time fixed the fan and also rehung as it was hung incorrectly by previous home owners. Would recommend, did a great job.

I called Dave, he returned my call and we made an appointment for later that day between 3 and 6 pm on 10/16/13. He arrived promptly, viewed my old wobbly ceiling fan and politely explained the problem. I decided on a new Casablanca Ceiling Fan, so Dave said he would get back to me soon. He called the next day and we made an appointment for that same day. He came with a new fan and working quickly, installed my beautiful new Casablanca fan on 10/17/13. I am amazed that the whole transaction occurred so quickly and efficiently in just two days! I am very pleased with Dave and my ceiling fan.

I called Dave because we had a bad circuit board in one of the Casablanca fans. Dave fixed it without any problems. Pricing was the best among the alternatives. I would definitely use them again.

   I called D and S Fan this morning and was given a 2hr time window of 2-4 PM. Dave arrived at 2:30 PM and was done in 1/2 hour.

He installed equipment, cleaned fan, and showed me how to best use control panel.
This was a very old Casablanca Zephyr fan (1985), and we thought the we would need to have it replaced. Luckily, Dave was
able to repair everything and said that our fan should now last another 40 years!!
Since we originally had no idea as to who to call, we accessed Google and Angies List and were lucky to find this repair service..

My Casablanca fan light would not turn off/on usin the remote, but the fan operated via the remote. I called Dand S for service. Dave call back within a couple of hours and first complimented me for leaving him the details on my message. He already had a diagnosis and told me the module needed to be replaced. He did not have the part, but would check and get back to me right away. In the next half hour, Dave called back, had secured the part, gave me an estimate of the cost and arranged the appointment. When he arrived, Dave did his work quickly and efficiently. He took the time to show me that all was fixed and the remote worked properly.

Casablanca is a respected manufacturer of quality fans. I called them first to try and see if this may be something I could fix myslef. When it turned out that service was needed, they gave me Dand S Fan Specialists as their recommended service partner. As much as I respect their products, I also respect their choice in partners!

Dave replaced defective control boards in two Casablanca ceiling fans. He knew exactly what was wrong with them, and quickly fixed one. The other one needed a part that he didn't have, but he told me where to get the part and said to call him when it came. When I got the part, he came back an installed it at no extra charge. Replacing the fans would have cost me over $1,000 so this was money well spent. Dave is great to work with, very knowledgeable and dependable. I highly recommend him!

Work was done quickly and efficiently. The repairman explained what he was doing and why as he made the repairs.

Was great. They called back right when their voicemail indicated, and came the next day in the time slot promised. Charge was in line with the estimate, and the room was spotless when they finished. All good.

D & S is one of two authorized Casablanca repair companies in the area, and they also came recommended by a local dealer. It took a day to call back, but once he did, they scheduled service very quickly. The day the repair person came out, we ended up having an electrical problem having nothing to do with the fan or anything the repair person did, causing him to be unable to complete his work because no power was going to the unit. They did not charge us for this extra visit and told us to call when the whole-house electrical issue was resolved. We got the electrical issues resolved and called, and they were able to come back out within a week (they were waiting on a part). The repair was a little more expensive than anticipated (by $35) because the circuit board replacement required a newer wall control unit than what we had (fan was manufactured in 1997), but everything was done well and works fine. I would definitely use D & S again if we were to add a fan in another room.

It needed a couple of phone calls to get a response back. Also, there was a mix-up as to when the service technician could come initially. I had scheduled the call for between 11 and 1 on a Wednesday but he showed up at around 09:15 and, since I was in the middle of a radon test, I could not let him come in. However, the service call was re-scheduled for the following Saturday. Dave showed up at the time arranged, replaced the part and tested the fan. He was in and out in about 15 minutes and was friendly and polite.
