The 3 man crew was great.  They were very professional, efficient and prompt.  They were excellent especially with all of the traveling involved.

We received excellent service from scheduling, dispatch and the moving crew.  Our furniture was not damaged, they took extra care with items and were happy to place items where requested within the house.
However, we initially purchased a 2-person crew for 3 hours for $320.  They day of the move, they asked for the dimensions of the storage space we were emptying (which they had not requested before) and recommended that we bring in a 3rd crew member for an extra $100. 
The day of the move there was a scheduling snafu, where they actually missed or forgot that I was scheduled for a 9 a.m. pick-up even after I'd emailed to confirm 2x's.  That having been said, they were extremely responsive and corrected the problem that morning within 3 hours (i.e., we were supposed to start at 9 and they showed up at noon).
I would use this service again, however, I would be sure to confirm scheduling via phone (not email or Angie's List) and just volunteer the size of the space to better pin down pricing in advance.

I have nothing negative to say. Movers showed up a few minutes early, and started work immediately. They took no breaks (and I invited them to do so). They were careful with fragile materials, and very much able to handle the big stuff too. Their demeanor was friendly and professional. They were done about 15 minutes before their anticipated finish time. Everything was moved into the right place in the house.

Ray, David, and Ricardo did a fabulous job! They arrived on time, took care of her belongings, were efficient, and extremely nice to her. I'm so grateful for their excellent service since she scheduled the move for a day I was out of town.

In short, the guys who did the move were awesome.  The responsiveness of the people in the office was not great.
A rep came out to bid on our move to another state.  I appreciated his patience in walking through everything.  The bid came in low with the big added bonus that the move would be done with a smaller, dedicated truck.  In other words, we wouldn't be sharing a huge truck with other moves.  Also, they were willing to commit to a pickup and delivery date.
We discussed the movers stopping in the Chicago suburbs to pickup a piano from my parents.  It took a while and more phone calls than it should have to iron out the details.  In the end the price was good and we asked for the additional work.
The day of, three guys came to pack things up.  My wife and mother-in-law called me to sing their praises.  They got to my parents place to pick up the piano.  Soon after, I got a call from my dad talking about what a great job they did.  The next day, they arrived promptly at our new home and did an excellent job unloading.

The movers were on time arriving to my apartment, but we're not told that we would also be stopping at my girlfriends house to pack her things, we we're moving in together.  I did explain to the person I spoke with when I made the original appointment, so there was a small communication lapse.  The good news is they were able to send a 4th mover in short time to help and that deifnitely helped moved things along.
The 4 guys they sent did an outstanding job.  They were careful with everything, made sure to wrap pads around all the furntirure and delicate items and were very quick getting things packed into the truck.  I lived in a 3rd story walk up apartment, so they had to take everything down three flights and they did this with ease.
My only complaint would be that they charge for tape, and they had to tape the pads to all the furniture etc.  I assumed they would use shrink wrap, which they did for some things, and this was free of charge.  I would recommend buying a 6 pack of packing tape for them to use, I'm sure it would be cheaper than what they charge.
Other than that, they were professional, fast, and very hard working and we were very impressed with the job they did.

Overall, the moving staff did a great job.  They were very efficient and careful with our belongings.  However, the final bill came out to much more than anticipated due to items like protective wrap, etc.  If the movers didn't do the great job that they did, I would have escalated further with the company.  My only suggestion is to be more up front on the estimates of extra protective wrap and boxes needed after you complete the initial walk through.  It will prepare the client for extra money needed for the move if needed.  Otherwise, I would strongly recommend Cresent Movers to move your house.  They did amazing work.

I purchased the "Big Deal" offer and did not get a response from the provider in the prescribed time limit. My issue was time sensitive so I had to find another company.

Terrible experience.  The movers arrived 3 hours late at 5:45p.  My wife and I had packed and wrapped most items, therefore, the move was completed by 9p.  The items that were not wrapped (e.g. furniture) were never wrapped and incurred damage.  We got charged $95 for transportation for a move that was literally a 1/2 block on the same street (3220 North to 3251 North).  Pass on this mover.

Overall the team did a nice job. They showed up early, started packing and moving right away, and took care to show any scratches/dings on our furniture before moving the items. The moving guys worked hard and fast and didn't take advantage of the hourly rates.
The only issue I have was with Maggie, who provided an estimate over the phone. I told her they would be helping us pack up the entire condo and she estimated $200 in packing materials. But when the movers arrived they said they didn't know they were packing the kitchen and didn't have any packing paper or enough boxes. They handled it professionally, providing an estimate for the additional items and having someone else bring them out so they could continue with the job. But my question is this: if I say we need to pack the entire condo, wouldn't you include a kitchen in that? Seemed like a serious oversight, and it ended up doubling our packing materials cost from the original estimate.
In the end they did a great job and it was still cheaper than the next closest estimate by about $200.

They could not do services on the day I needed.

When I called, Maggie at their office was very clear in explaining all their prices and services.  She also called back to check if we wanted our set time, which was nice that she was on top of it.  For my taste, she could have sounded friendlier on the phone but it doesn't really matter so much because she was helpful with everything and worked any kinks out for us.  
The actual movers, Tony and the other two helping him (sorry I did not manage to get their names) were very professional from the time they made their first calls.  They spoke politely and professionally and did everything to get the crates where they needed to be.  This was not easy as one of them was over 800 lbs!  It was very nice how quickly and cleanly they got the job done. I was very happy with them and would definitely call them again.  
They were willing to take on this job when some other movers did not want to deal with the couple of extra steps involved.  Also, they were able to give us a quick date and everything was as they said it would be.  No surprises.

Jay, Fernando and Ricardo were extraordinary.  Right on time, early in fact.  More gentle and cautious than I've ever experienced.  Everyone was very polite, attentive and hygienic.  I highly recommend this crew and company.  They had all the right materials and very very skilled with carrying solo or in duos.

Stop looking for any other moving company!! Crescent movers is THE BEST. Not only are the movers, Tony, Mario, and Humberto fantastic but they were the most affordable by at least 10%. What else do I need to say? Stop looking, hire Crescent movers.

It went smoothly and as expected. Three guys showed up about 15 minutes early (not charged) and started prepping the move. As soon as the elevator was available (at the time we were scheduled to start), they started efficiently moving things to the truck. They were professional and I would strongly recommend them. Crescent is a "value". The work was sufficient and I was satisfied. That being said, if you want absolutely perfect service, just know that you will need to pay quite a bit more somewhere else. NOTE: WITH ALL QUOTES - CRESCENT INCLUDED - IT WILL BE ABOUT 100-150 MORE ONCE YOU PAY FOR TAPE/BOXES/PLASTIC WRAP AND YOU GIVE EACH OF THE MOVERS $25-$40.

Crescent Movers arrived about 20 minutes early and immediately navigated their large truck into a position on my street where they were able to load my belongings and not block traffic.  There were three men and they worked efficiently loading everything.  They wrapped some pieces of furniture with blankets and tape and used shrink wrap for my queen mattress and box spring.  They even pointed out a few scratches and minor scuffing that my furniture originally had so that I would know that it wasn't caused during the move.  At the new apartment they backed their large truck halfway down my T-shaped alley and started unloading.  They asked where I wanted boxes and furniture placed if I had not indicated on the boxes.  Unfortunately, the box spring of my queen bed would not fit up the stairs to the 3rd floor, but this was not because the movers did not try.  They tried up the back and the front staircases and were willing to try again on the back, but I told them that I would just buy a split-box.  They reassembled my bed frame and my couch which they had originally taken apart to maneuver more easily.  They worked very efficiently and were done within the 4 hour time that had been quoted.  I felt like they handled a very stressful (for me) moving situation very professionally and I was very happy with the way everything turned out.

I've used them twice to move 3bd condo and they have always done a nice job.  Even called to make sure i was pleased with the service.  Fair pricing.

Crescent was one of three moving companies I called for an estimate for this long distance move, and I chose them because the price was the best and they were so reassuring that all would go well and I wouldn't have to worry about anything--they would take care of it all. That's exactly how the move turned out. If anything, I was a little worried about how hard Alex, Jimmy and their crews worked; they only took breaks when I insisted, and they worked non-stop to carefully wrap everything and get it out the door asap.  It was amazing to me how hard they worked; everything was delivered the next morning, as promised, including a baby grand piano.  This kind of over-the-top service is so rare these days.  I'm very glad I went with the company, and I recommend them without reservation.

The movers showed up late but were okay folks to work with.  However, several of our items were scratched in the process.

Excellent service and great price. 3 men arrived about 30 mins early. Carlos was the "lead guy" he explained everything and went over all the paper work. They worked quickly and efficiently. They took extra care with all of our furniture and boxes and asked which room we wanted each box in when unloading. They were super polite and engaging. They worked for 6 hours straight and never even stopped for lunch (though I advised them to). They made the moving experience as pleasant as it could possibly be!
