They were on time (punctual) and cleaned thoroughly. They paid attention to detail and did a nice job.

Tom was great on the phone and we were able to schedule his team within 48 hours. My team, Alma and Leticia, did a terrific job. They were prompt, very friendly to me and my dog and very efficient. Everything was done in 2 hours and looked great.

Terrible. I've used them twice. The first time, I would've rated them a B and we purchased a deep cleaning service. However, due to the second horrible cleaning, I will not be using them again. Plus it doesn't seem like their workers are all on the same page in terms of what's included in a cleaning and what's not. The 2nd time, I found out all of the things the first time cleaners were supposed to clean but never did - spent too much time speaking with the cleaner on what she should've been cleaning. Also, they charged me for a 4 bedroom but only cleaned 3 of them b/c my 4th was on the third level (apparently i was supposed to pay extra for a "basement" cleaning). They didn't even touch my toilets until I asked them to. There was also a pile of dirt on my kitchen floor where it just looked like they forgot to finish. Overall, it was a very lazy cleaning. Giving a D rating for very confusing pricing and for a terrible standard cleaning. The only thing I like is the ability to schedule online. Recommend switching to Anna's maids - less drama with an amazing experience.

We had a crew of two show up on time to clean our apartment that was being rented later in the day. We called very last minute and the crew came in with great attitudes and did an extremely thorough job! I'd hire them again and again!

Summary: Based on my experience with Companion Maids, I would recommend that anyone reading this stay far away from this company. I can't think of a more unprofessional experience I have ever received from a business. I was lied to and manipulated, the original maid blew me off and didn't show, and the "service" eventually performed was severely below par. I am also very weary of the trustworthiness of other reviews of this company on here after this experience. Review: I bought a deal here on Angie's List on June 20th 2016 for 4 Hours of Houescleaning which includes "deep cleaning of your kitchen (appliances included), bathrooms, and bedrooms, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and removing trash." The Deal cost $159. What lead me to purchase this deal were the "A" reviews for Companion Maids and the ease of booking an appointment online through Companion Maid's website. After purchasing the deal, I made an appointment for Thursday, June 22nd at 2:00PM. I had friends coming from out of town to stay with me the next day, Friday, so this appointment for a thorough deep cleaning was very important to me so my place could be in great shape for my guests! Their website sent me a confirmation email saying my appointment is set, but I had some questions about the service: Does the maid bring her own vacuum and mop? This information wasn't available on Angie's List website or on the provider's website (or in the email confirmation), so I tried calling the company. I tried calling five or six times on Wednesday afternoon, June 21st, and no one answered. I should have known then that this was not a company for me to do business with when no one answers the phone! After a few more calls, Tom answered. He explained the service. Curiously, though, he said my appointment wasn't confirmed and I don't have anyone assigned. What? My email clearly says the appointment is confirmed, and logging into their website says my provider is "April." Again, at this point, I should have known not to deal with this company, they already seem disorganized. But I stuck with it and later that day I received another confirmation email, as well as a text message reminder of my appointment. So at this point, between talking to Tom on the phone, and getting three different digital confirmations, I was sure my appointment for the next day at 2:00PM was confirmed. At 2:45PM on Thursday I received a phone call from April. She said she only just now was told that she has an appointment, and said I need to reschedule (so four different confirmations of my appointment were obviously meaningless.) I told her I can't reschedule, this appointment is very important, I have friends coming to stay with me, I've been waiting around for her to arrive, and I can't reschedule. She proceeds to get argumentative saying, "You know today is supposed to be my day off, right? Who did you talk to? Who set this up?" She then told me if I refuse to reschedule, the soonest she could come out would be 1.5-2 hours later, since she has to "get her stuff." I told her that's unacceptable, she's already 45 minutes late, I already have plans for the night so I can't cancel to wait for her, and to be honest, I don't want someone angrily cleaning my apartment. So, I tried calling Tom. No answer. I must have tried calling ten times and there was no answer. I left a message saying I'm very upset and he needs to call me. An hour later still no call back. At this point, I sat down at my computer, defeated, ready to write out an "F" review for this company. And that's what I should have done, but; as I was typing the review out, desperation got the best of me- I really needed my apartment cleaned. So I tried calling Tom one last time and he answered. He said his phone was "in the wrong mode forwarding calls" or some excuse like that and started apologizing profusely, saying the maid didn't get her appointment because of "an email glitch" and he will do anything to make this right, because "this is so not like us." Wow, lots of glitches! I should have stopped doing business with them here again, but, I'm not going to lie, his salesmanship sold me. He said he would "call in some favors" to get another maid to come out instead, and gave me the option of either having this cleaning free with using the Angie's List deal the next time someone comes out, or using the deal this time and he would give me a free "re-recleaning" another time. He won me back with this. So this emergency maid, Angelina, was going to come by between 5:00 and 5:30. At 6:00 she arrived. Even though I cancelled my dinner plans, my date liked me enough to come over instead while the maid works. So at this point I thought it was a win/win. A free cleaning and I don't have to pay for dinner! Angelina asked me where to focus the cleaning, and I told her the most important parts were the kitchen, the guest bathroom, and my bathroom. She saw my bed sheets were in the dryer and offered to make the bed. I told her not to bother unless she finishes early and has extra time. Halfway though cleaning the stove, she asked me to come out and look at it, she said I would have to spray it down and finish doing it because she's spent too much time cleaning it already and that's as good as she's going to get it. Really? You're giving up cleaning the stove? On a "deep cleaning?" Thanks! She also had the door open with a fan going, saying "she can't stop sweating!" Great. I thought you were cleaning my apartment, not sweating all over it? Fast forward to about 9:00-9:30PM, she tells me she's finished. My date and I are already a bottle of wine deep, feeling pretty tipsy, and at this point, we really want the maid out of the house! She gives me an Angie's List review form to fill out before she can leave. I do notice that she hasn't mopped either stairway (which I specifically asked her to do at the beginning), but she says she'll do it on her way out. She also made my bed, even though I said that's something she only needed to do if she finished everything else first. Very strangely, she also said "now that you have my number, you can just call me directly to come clean, and I'll give you a much better deal than going through Tom." Wow! So this is two-for-two maids who seem to have an unprofessional relationship with Tom! What is going on with this company? So anyway, being drunk, and wanting her to leave ASAP so I can attend to my date, and not wanting to deeply inspect her work and potentially argue about anything else beside the stairway she didn't mop, I filled out the form giving her "A's" just to get her out of the house. My thinking was that if there are any problems, this is just a free emergency cleaning and Tom will provide the deep cleaning he promised next time, right? What a mistake. What an awful mistake. I learn later that night that she didn't touch my shower. She didn't clean the oven. She didn't clean the fridge. She broke two of the knobs on the stove which wont stay on now. She dish washed my cast iron pan and rusted it out. She emptied the dish washer and just tossed all the silverware and utensils in an empty drawer even though I have organizers for all of that. She didn't mop the stairs. She didn't clean the baseboards or door mat at the rear of the apartment. I told her not to bother with making my bed so that she could concentrate on all of these other items, but she did it anyway. She also gave up cleaning the stove and actually told me to finish it. So needless to say, I was very disappointed in the service provided, but I thought it was free and the company reiterates their "free re-cleaning" policy and "200%" guarantee if things aren't right. Well, none of that happened. Tom is currently trying to cash in the Angie's List deal to pay for the first cleaning, which he said was free. And that would be fine if he was sending someone out for a free re-cleaning, but he's not doing that either. Apparently, my review sheet with all "A's" for this awful service and cleaning was all he needed to break his promises. This also makes me weary of other reviews on this site for this company. It did not go well. They NEVER touched one bathroom.When I came the next day for the painters, I saw first hand the dust on the walls by the baseboards. it was the worst job I have ever seen. We had to do all the work ourselves before the painters came. They seemed more concerned about being out of there in two hours which was definitely not enough time.
