Constant passing of the buck. Once you are in the system you are a number and not a person. Totally impersonal after admission.
NO assigned academic advisors, NO assigned financial advisors. Each time you call you get a different person. No ownership or accountability. Commitments or adjustments are not honored.
If you have any questions or need assistance you will not get answers or help just unfulfilled promises from the administration at Columbia College.
I regret having my child attend this college for the last two years. Both years there was mistakes in the billing and financial assistance/grants departments. If not for professors who go the extra mile and guide academically - degree plans simply do not exist except in the listed curriculum required.
A person could pick classes in any order and potentially attend many years more than needed to complete a degree. As a transfer students the mapping over for credit of classes takes several semesters and constant requests to be done. And then to be informed that many classes will not apply to core degree classes because Columbia requires these to be taken at Columbia. A fact they do not explain or mention during the admission process.
