This was a big deal purchase. It went okay; it went good. I had to pay another $40 above the price of the deal just for them to take a look at it and then they charged me for the repair. When they came and tested it they said the board was wrong. They charged me to replace that as well as pricing me another flat rate after they took the blower apart and discovered they had to replace the fan. Their pricing is not really good. They could have explained to me what the price would be and how they were doing it. I would have understood it better. I felt like they nickel and dimed me. The work was fine, it was okay; I have no complaints. So far everything looks good.
He told me I should just buy a new one. I looked online for what a new one costs, and the company wanted to charge me 3x that for the heater and installation.
Even though I had contacted the company via Angie's list, they didn't mention any promotions that were going on, including one with a half off s service call, so I'm out even more money. I wish I could get a refund.
"Hi [Member Name Removed] I am sorry you where not happy with our service and I want to start out saying that this is not a standard furnace it is a wall unit. There was nothing to assist my technician on the job with the unit and that is why he was asking for a owners manual. It is a very old unit is why we recommended replacing it instead of fixing it and you agreed.We will also credit you the service call when you purchase a new unit through us. As far as the cost of the unit goes yes can you buy the unit online cheaper. It has to be installed by professional technicians that are trained to work on these units. If you buy the unit online we do not offer any warranties on the unit because we did not purchase the unit which is included in our price. There is a lot more than just the unit that goes into the installation to be added in. I am sorry again and if there is anything I can do please let me know. Jim Cox"
This was a big deal purchase and it was not good. They just did not have the filter than that they needed to change so they asked my wife to go out and buy it and come back. She did not know which one and got the wrong one. It was really expensive. The whole experience with them didn't go well. They came out shortly after I purchased the deal. They did not have the crucial filter to service out thing.
"I am sorry you where not happy with or service as we try to have everything on our trucks that we can to service all of our customers but with so many things in our industry it is impossible. We also do not carry filters on our trucks as that is the customers responsibility to change them as needed. If we had to carry every filter on our trucks we would have no room for parts. If it is a filter that is not carried by a supply house we can special order them for you and have them delivered or bring it out at the time of servicing. I understand your frustration and hope you can see our side of it. We can also go pick up filters for you and come back and install them but there is a charge for that and I am sure this is why we had your wife pick them up. Again i am sorry for any miss communication and poor service you received as we try to offer complete satisfaction on our work. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Jim Cox"
Great Work! Look at their yelp reviews-- it looks like everyone finds them very fair for prices, honest, and competent.
We've now had this company come in for a furnace tuning. We should have waited for Sergio. Not all the technicians are the same.
the service man was ok, but he just wasn't as informative and was trying to push us to add a condenser to our heating system.
Then we had an estimate. We still haven't received it.
This was our first time dealing with Besco Air. I had called another company who serviced our furnace on a different occasion, but they did not return my call, and I called them twice. I will call Besco Air next time instead!
