There is free 15 minute parking out front and it was very convenient. I was told that it would take 2-3 days to have the mirror cut and installed in the frame. I was delighted to be called the very next day about 4 p.m. and was told that it was completed. When I asked what time they close, I was told that they were already closed - but where do I live? They told me that if I could leave right away they would wait for me! They exceeded my expectations and I will use them when I am ready to order the customer shower doors.

I gave them the measurements and they made the piece. When I came to pick it up, I discovered that they had not beveled it, but they cheerfully agreed to do it. It was perfect when I got it.

They did a great job in getting this done. Very professional, punctual, and thorough. I would recommend them to others and I would use them again as needed.

It was a great experience (see above) with professional, old-fashioned (in the best sense of that term) artisans. (See above).

I spoke with Omar at AG and he said he could send someone out to look at the seals on our custom shower door (we have been experiencing leaks but can't figure out if it is a seal or grout issue). He said this would be a flat $250 for the initial inspection and subsequent repair. His guy came out the very next day, although roughly 30 minutes late (had been given a window of 1-2pm and showed up around 2:30). He looked at the seals and pulled the bottom sweeper down so it made a tighter fit and said the small tear in the side seal really was not the issue. It seemed to be more in the grout - he pointed out specific spots to be fixed. He did not charge me for his visit. Thank you for saving me money! I would use them in the future.

First of all, when I was quoted the price for these small pieces of plastic, I was immediately taken aback because the price was so high. I mean $340 just seemed way out of line. But I signed the contract because I expected a totally professional job. I was promised that I could pick up the completed pieces on Wednesday morning at 9:00am. That day, just before I left the house, I called to make sure that they were ready. I was told that they had not started the job because they did not have the plexiglass in stock. I found that hard to believe because I have been shown a piece of the same plexiglass when I came into the store to place the order. Then I was told that it would be ready the next day. I needed the covers in a hurry, but I called back 10 minutes later to cancel the order since they hadn't even started it. Then I was told that the pieces were already cut. They then said they would be ready in an hour. So my niece and I drove to the shop an hour later and they were just then cutting the pieces. We took a fish tank with us to make sure the pieces would fit. Even though I had provided exact dimensions, about half of the pieces were either too wide to fit or too narrow to sit securely on the top. In other words half of the pieces had to be recut because they weren't to the agreed on specifications. The notches for the back pieces were cut unevenly. And as a matter of fact, when I got the piece home and removed the protective paper from the plexiglass, the notch cutouts were not only uneven, they were full of cracks and chips. When we told the owner that we were dissatisfied with the service, he offered a $5 can of plastic cleaner "for out trouble." Then I told him that I am a member of Angie's List and was going to make a negative report, he reached in the cash register and threw $40 at us (which we didn't take). If I had wanted an amateur job, I would have gone to Home Depot for the plexiglass and done it myself. I could have avoided overpaying for an hour or so of sloppy work, and being patronized and insulted to boot. By the way, I have never given such a low rating on Angie's list.

The initial phone call was pleasant. When I took the door to the shop, I was basically ignored. When I finally got helped, the worker continued to talk to and help other customers while ignoring me. They did not call me when it was ready, I called them. When I picked it up, one of the decorative hardware pieces was missing. Plus, the trim is chipped. I would go back if I only needed a simple glass order and courtesy wasn't an issue.

I called Ashland Glass and Mirror after finding them on Angie's List. In the past I had used a different local glass company, but my most recent experience with them was not good, so I needed to find someone else. After giving Ashland Glass the exact measurements and getting a cost estimate, I was able to place my order over the phone. I picked my piece of glass up the next day and it fit my table perfectly. I appreciated seeing all the examples of what they can do with glass and mirror in their little showroom. The price at Ashland was about 10% higher than the company I used to use, but the transaction was positive and very easy, which I think is worth a lot, so I will definitely use them again in the future.

They were great and everything was fine. My only issue is that they don’t come out to measure themselves; they have you bring in the measurements. He had us use wrapping paper to make a template and the glass fits perfectly on the desk. The price was good, they do good work, and they are nice people. Even though there was two feet of snow on the ground they helped me load the glass in the backseat of my car. They had it nicely wrapped so it wouldn’t break or anything. It was a professional job and I’ll use them again for glass. They have all sorts of weird glass things in their showroom like bathroom doors, street signs, mirrors, and anything you can think of. They did everything in one day; I took in the measurements in the morning and had the glass by the afternoon.

My husband called Ashland on a Saturday to get info/estimate and was able to take the frame over to them the same afternoon. They repaired it as he waited and we were able to reinstall it that same day! They were clear, consise on the phone and happy to do the work immediately! We will definitely call them again.

They are very professional, prompt and provide great communication. They are very accommodating as well; one of the windows had dead bees in the edges of it and they cleaned it out for us!

Called Ashland after a previous positive experience (years earlier)...had to wait days for repair and telephone contact was spotty, (slow to return calls, vague about day/time of repair)...would shop around first next time for a more responsive company (as well as price compare)...but would consider calling them also.

It went fine. It was a good experience. I would recommend them. It was on the other end of the city from us, so I don't know if I would go again. However, they were timely and fixed it. You couldn't even tell that it had been fixed.

This was one of the best small business surprises we've ever enjoyed. Walked in to replace three small glass shelves for a medicine cabinet and walked out 10 minutes later with the shelves, at a great price, plus repairs made to the sample we brought in. While were there the staff was friendly, talkative, kind to our two small girls (and offered them chocolates from her own desk stash), and just delightful. From now on they're our only resource for custom cut glass. Perfect customer service.

Low prices and good quality replacement glass. However, this is a small family run business that is chaotic and disorganized. I made an appointment over the phone with the owner, to meet with him the following day. When I arrived at the store for my appointment, I learned the owner had already left for the day. While I was waiting for someone else to help me, there was chaos as another customer's window frame was lost, no one could find her paperwork, and no one could find her completed window. In looking around the shop, the customer finally located her own window frame, and they ended up just re-writing her paperwork. I think everyone means well, and the employees generally attempt to be customer friendly -- you simply need a lot of patience with these guys as they clearly do not run a tight ship.

Ashland Glass came to give an estimate and measure the window pane required. They scheduled a time to install the custom pane after it was ready. Unfortunately there was miscommunication with the company that manufactured the glass. It was 1/4" too thin. They offered to install it with extra caulking or to have it remade. They agreed to remake it without charging extra. They took the wood frame with them this time. They returned with the window repair completed after scheduling the return visit. They cleaned up well after each visit considering there was broken glass involved. It was unfortunate that they did not get the window fixed the first time but they did the job right in the end.

I was impressed that they continued to work on the problem despite all of the obstacles. I was kept informed of delivery dates and they even came earlier than promised to work on one mirror while they were waiting for another part to arrive, which sped up the process. I paid half on order and half on completion. The price was about 20% higher than other estimates for the same work. In fact, they gave me an estimate for other glass for my kitchen cabinets that was 3 times higher (literally almost exactly 3 times higher--$2,000 vs $725) than the place I ended up using. This made me believe the price was jacked up a bit as a result of the type of house and neighborhood as opposed to the actual cost for the clear glass. At any rate, they were professional, timely, clean, careful, considerate and overall good tradesmen. I would use them again if I felt the price was right.

I usually would not even rate a simple part purchase, it’s like rating home depot, but I was angry about the business tactic. I called to see if they had a part I needed for my shower. I had seen it online for less than $15, but because of the weird size, shipping doubled the price from several vendors. When I called, I was told that it would be $25 and that they would cut it down to size (it comes in a standard length). When I walked in to pick it up, he told me $40 and was unwilling to cut it down. I talked myself back into the $25 price and decided to just buy it, rather than find another store, but it has to tell you something that the they quoted two such different prices on such a cheap part. I don't have any comment about their work -- from what I see here (and from what I saw in the store) they seem to do a nice job, but I wouldn't trust a price quote without shopping it around a lot.

They were very prompt in providing the quote and their price was in line with other quotes. I didn't use them because another company was recommended by a friend, however, I would have used them.

In each case they were prompt in coming out to do an estimate and provided accurate timing on when they would return to complete the installation. Jobs ranged from about $150 to $400. Very satisfied have used them again and will use them if needed in the future.
