As I was paying the bill (reasonable) and discussing what time I would bring him back, it turned out the clinic is closed from 12 noon to 2 pm - every week day. Net net was cat and I went straight home after our other appointments for that morning. My errands had to wait until another day. I was not happy - felt someone early on should have mentioned this down time in their schedule. After the shot my cat was grumpy but still liked Dr Jenny. So yes, we will go back. However I will make a point of asking about all details for whatever is to happen.

We came home in 2008 and found a very frightened parakeet in our house..she came in through an open window. No one claimed her so we immediately took her for a wellness check and she was under weight and sick. With loving care she is now feeling great and happy.
Dr de la Navarre is wonderful and the staff is friendly and obvious animal lovers. The clinic has a bird room and a beautiful kitty boarding area.
Look no further.....this place is the best.

They handle reptiles and they're very good. We've been there a couple of times with our turtles and we're very pleased with them. I think their pricing was fair and reasonable. They're all very good about discussing prices before you have anything done. We all know what we're getting. We like them very much because it's so close to us. We can actually walk over there. My husband took them and I think he liked them very much. He felt that they were very competent. He learned a lot about the turtles. They actually went in to perform more tests which we did to make sure that the turtles were healthy. We've never had a problem getting them in.

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic. My father is veterinarian and he's always taken care of my animals, so my standards are pretty high when it comes to care. Now that I have moved many states away to Chicago, I needed to find a good, ferret knowledgeable vet. I've been to several vets since moving with mixed results, but have now finally found the one I will be taking all of my pets to from now on (ferret and otherwise). I saw Dr. Jenny and she is wonderful to talk to. She's so calm and great with the animals, and takes plenty of time to explain and talk through everything with you. I didn't feel rushed and I greatly appreciate a vet who's exam protocol does not involve firmly restraining an animal showing no signs of needing it before treating them (as I find to be standard practice in many vet offices these days which only serves to freak out an animal that was previously calm). I felt listened too, and more importantly found her to be extremely knowledgeable and confident. She went over my ferret's blood work with me right away during the visit, and promptly called me 2 days later with his cytology results. The office is clean and the staff are super friendly as well. I finally feel like I've found a vet I would trust as much as I have my dad all these years. Their prices are no different than any of the other places I've been, and while they appear to have the means to perform many of the more updated/and quot;fancyand quot; treatments, they don't push anything on you and give you a clear breakdown of what they recommend and the prices before you agree to anything, so it's your choice in the end. I highly recommend this place - especially for exotics!

Animal House of Chicago, Complete Veterinary Care, I have a wonderful vet. I was there two days ago. He is a bird specialist because I have a bird also. He saved my bird's life. Everything about them is wonderful. The staff is marvelous, everything about them is terrific. You get quality medical care and you pay for it. And that's the way it goes.

The doctors and staff that work at Animal House of Chicago are wonderful, pet-loving people. I've been bringing my two cats here three years. The Vets are patient and willing to answer the multitude of questions I ask when I've got pet concerns. They're currently taking care of my cat, who received a really bad clipper burn from grooming. I'm so grateful that he's in safe, caring hands. While I'm still anxious about him, my stress levels are greatly reduced knowing that he's surrounded by people who really care about him. Dr. Jenny is wonderful. Right now my cat Noodles is in the care of Dr. Stark and I appreciate the time he's taken to assure me that Noodles will be okay and the treatment he's giving him. All the vets I've encountered at this facility have been knowledgeable and kind. The actual facility is always spotlessly clean which I always appreciate. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for good care for their pets.

He is absolutely excellent. We followed him from Niles, to Chicago, and now to his own place. He is very good. He does all animals including birds, and reptiles too. We can see iguanas, tortoises, and hamsters. Once when we had a mountain warrior here in the city that had to be destroyed, Dr. Delenavarre was the one who discussed on television why it was important that a wounded animal needed to be dispatched rather than tried to be darted and taken away. He has a lot of credentials and is on boards. He is just a wonderful doctor. His price depends on what we get done; a visit and an exam cost around $45. He is totally professional and so I do not expect him to be cheap. We are taking our turtle to him next week.

I like them a lot. They are kind of expensive. They did some expensive tests for diseases so that added to the expense. They see the widest range of animals and since I had birds it got harder and most people just do cats, dogs and rodents. They see lizards and birds and all different varieties. There was a stray cat that had kittens in my backyard and they were extremely helpful because I never had cats before. They were helpful in getting them vaccinated and they helped me socialise the kittens so they could get adopted.

Things always go great at Animal House. They are so knowledgable about exotic animals, and the"bedside manner" is terrific. I am always laughing there, as there are so many wacky critters, and the staff just takes it in stride. Even the techs are so upbeat and genuinely seem to really enjoy their patients. They are also very kind and compassionate. When I lost me bird to cancer several years ago, there were incredibly supportive. I also always know my birds are getting the best of care. The vets there are extremely proficient - the absolute best anywhere. I also like that they are open to alternative, wholistic treatments.

We followed our vet through three locations, and now he owns this one. He does exotic animals, meaning birds and reptiles, as well as all other animals. He takes care of our turtles. He is extremely professional. He has headed a professional organization in the area. He volunteers his time, such as running for charity. He has also been on advisory boards. I used him for second opinions until I switched all of my animals over to him. His staff is pleasant, kind, and understanding. They sent a sympathy card after they had to put my cat down.

Dr. De La Navarre is awesome and the staff at Animal House are so helpful and kind. I have been seeing Dr. D with my iguana for over 18 years and have followed him from other veterinary offices. He and his wife Tracy have always been very quick to respond and when my iguana was having issues while they were in the process of building their new practice on Lawrence. In Chicago, Tracy was great about calling me and giving me advice.

If you have a bird you MUST go to Animal House. Dr. De La Navarre and his wife, Tracy run a wonderful clinic. The Doctor is very knowledgeable and up-to-date on birds and exotics. He always goes out of his way to answer any questions and concerns of the pet owners. And he has a way with parrots that is just fantastic- parrots can be skittish and my bird was easily calmed during visits. His staff is great too. They always treat my African Grey parrot like one of their own. I traveled a lot and felt 100% comfortable in leaving my parrot to board in their care. They maintain a 'bird room' in the back for parrot boarding - it is a hub of activity- always filled with boarders, the Doctor's own birds, and the staff. I never worried my parrot would be bored and unstimulated spending time there as I was out-of-town. If you want a conscientious, caring, and capable veterinarian for your exotic pet, you should definitely check out Animal House.

I love Animal House! They are all very good people who always remember me, which I like. They are gentle and caring with my cat and the vet is skilled. The office staff is efficient and personable.

Receptionists are very rude, they left my husband standing as they talked about their diet (he was waiting to pay). Ran up an $800 bill, each time bill was re-ran it went up. I felt like I was getting ripped off. They ran a culture and sensitivity test on my dog who had a serious illness at the time. The dog was misdiagnosed. When I expressed concern about the growing bill, the vet told me he would take out a loan to care for his animal. They were completely insensitive.
