Tech Slavic was great

When Alex, the technician, arrived to diagnose an issue with my dishwasher, he pressed a few buttons and turned to me and said it is working. He claimed it was working before he reset it. He also claimed sometimes a piece of glass gets caught and maybe it was somehow dislodged. Shortly after leaving and charging me $100, I attempted to wash a load of dirty dishes. It was not working. I was disappointed that he did not complete a thorough checking of all of the components of the unit before assuming it was working fine. My husband and I decided to request a refund but when I spoke to Jay, he naturally defended Alex. I mentioned I would be leaving a negative review and he said go ahead. Professional, right? It gets better. Jay allowed Alex to listen to the recording of our conversation. Alex, being as professional as Jay, actually texted me a not so very polite message. The text said the following: Hey this is Alex from AA Appliance Repair Chicago. Listened to your call. Ustedes son unos sin verguenza; le decimos en buen dominicano. Definitely not getting a refund. You got your diagnostic and know full well I spent a considerable amount of time there confirming your machines operation. Leave all the bad reviews you want. We're the best and highest rated appliance repair co in chicago. The message above from Alex was a direct quote, copied and pasted off of my phone. The bottom line is I am out $100, no closer to having a working dishwasher. For those of you that do not read Spanish, he basically accused us of being immoral. All of this because we wanted a refund for not fixing/diagnosing something he was hired to do. How dare us. My husband and I do not recommend this company for any of your needs. Be prepared to be insulted if you dare accuse him of not being thorough. Hire them at your own risk. 4/08/24

I have used this company several times, and I can never get over their service. On time, respectful of our home, professional, honorable. They are just wonderful and I highly recommend them. Today Alberto was in our home to repair our washing machine, and the time and care he took reinforced all the things I said above. Hire them!

Fixed the problem

Scratched my hardwood floors moving my refrigerator and now my refrigerator is really loud.

Quick with response and even came out in a snowstorm in which I honestly thought they were going to reschedule. Fixed the dryer and had great advice for my washer which was for me too expensive to repair.

a bit expensive, but they needed two people to do the job, they were timely and did a great job.

Nice repairman, explained everything that was broken and took two hours to make the dryer like new!

Alex was great. He explained the process over the phone and set an appointment. He was able to come early and phoned to see if that was ok. He diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator and scheduled a follow up appointment for installation. He showed up for the install on time and fixed the problem in a few minutes. Very professional. I would use him again and would recommend him to family and friends.

The technician identified the problem and offered practical suggestions the owner could apply daily to address it.
