They basically came out and explained that it's based on how much of the truck they fill and they filled like a whole truck, so what they said it would be if they filled the whole truck. When they first came out he looked and he was like, "I think we will fill three quarters of the truck, which would be this price," and maybe 15 minutes after they started he came back to me and said, "Well, I think we're going to fill the truck, which would be this price. Do you want us to continue?" I'm like, "Yeah." There were two guys and they had to clear out a full garage full of stuff. They were just really amazingly fast and efficient. They were right on time.

I scheduled the appointment for Friday between 4 - 6 and would get a call prior to 4pm letting me know estimated arrival time. At 5pm, I received a call from the driver who was very apologetic, but was running late, and would be there by 7. I was fine with that. At 7:30, I received a second call from the driver telling me they wouldn't be there, and proceeded to give me a 10-minute song and dance about why. He offered to come Saturday or to have me talk with the manager. The manager called at about 8:30, and told me they could come that night, but but the earliest they could get to my home would be between 9 - 9:30pm - if they could make it at all. He did offer to come on Saturday but couldn't guarantee a time... so after waiting ALL evening Friday, he expected me to hang around the house and cancel my three Saturday events on the off-chance they would maybe show up at some time during the day. The manager was not polite, offered no apology for the abysmal service, and offered no compensation for my time if I decided to use their service. I wasted more than four hours of my life on these people. No more. There are TONS more service providers - any one of them would be better.

Two people came out and did the job. They were on time, fast and very courteous. Two of the items were very large and heavy. they claim that usable material will be given to those in need.

Not using such an expensive service.

Two guys arrived promptly after alerting me that they were on their way. They first gave me an estimate, which they ended up raising by $50 when they realized how many heavy bolts of carpet they would have to move. I think this was fair.
I had pre-sorted my stuff into garbage, things to be donated, and things to recycle, but actually, that wasn't necessary. They lumped everything together and threw it (literally, in some cases) into their truck. They were friendly and efficient. However, they did damage to some molding by hitting it with a piece of furniture that they were taking out to their truck. To compensate, they took $25 off my bill. 
They did a very cursory clean-up, so I had to vacuum and wash the basement steps after they left.
The best part of this service is that they will take almost anything (although not paint or certain chemicals). It saved me hours of physical labor, which I cannot do because I have health problems. Also, it's nice that they donate and recycle, which I would have done, had I been able.
This service is expensive, but I decided it was worth using it to save time and stress on my body. I would use it again in the future-- but don't expect perfection.

I just pointed them to where the junk was and they loaded it all and they even sweep up a little. What I like about them is the price and their ability to come out within a couple of days. They are just really nice people when they come.

So I made appointment for them to come between 5 - 7 today. They were supposed to call me 30 minutes before 5 but they never did. I waited until 6 and decided to call the customer service.
1. First call at 6 - the lady on the phone informed me that the crew would call me very soon.
2. 30 minutes later I still haven't received a call - I called the customer service back. The guy (a different person) on the phone informed me that somehow the crew thought I would contact them (Huh, why would I do that - I was never given their phone number and they are the one who had my phone number all along). That being said, he said the crew would contact me shortly.
3. Another 10 minutes later, they finally called me and the guy on the phone (Joseph) claimed that he tried to call me multiple times and when he tried to leave a voicemail, my VM box was full. Lie, and lie. I never had any missed call from him this afternoon. And while I was on the phone with the customer service earlier, I missed a call from an analyst from work and he was able to leave a voicemail on my phone. And he proceeded to tell me that he couldn't make it because he sent all his people back home. From beginning to end, he made it seem like it was all me - my phone didn't work, I should have called me, etc.

They showed up on time (calling ahead to let me know exactly when they would be there). They took almost everything I needed to get rid of, but ran out of room on the truck for a dresser and one or two items. Very professional and I would use them again.

I called 1-800-junk and scheduled the storage unit estimate. We were unable to access the unit for an estimate due to a lost key so they gave the rates and we agreed on a service date for which they would give the estimate on that day. The guys were very good at keeping me informed of their arrival time. On arrival they were pleasant and explained the fee schedule. They emptied the unit and hauled the contents away. They also explained that the contents are sorted then either donated or recycled.

1-800-GOT-JUNK? were extremely thorough and we were happy with the work they did.
