After our A/C unit stopped cooling on a Sunday we called Lanz and set up an appointment for Tuesday morning. We could have set it up for Monday, but Tuesday was better for us. Colby called 15 minutes prior to let us know he was on his way. When he arrived he checked the system for leaks; not finding any he returned to the shop to get the tent which would allow him to more thoroughly test the system. He completed his checks which included both indoor and outdoor coils and all joints. He didn't find a leak, but the system was low on refrigerant. He recommended adding a sealant to the system which wold be the most economical approach to the problem. As this was a situation that should have been picked up on the annual inspection which Lanz had done at the beginning of the month we were not charged for the initial leak check.
Colby was friendly and professional. He arrived at the time he was scheduled and completed the work thoroughly and efficiently.
We have used Lanz for a few years now and have found them, and their employees, to be prompt and efficient. From now on though, we will ask for Colby.

Ron Jancola was my serviceman. Pleasant, polite and hopefully he will be my serviceman for fall also. Answerd all my questions. P.S. my dog loved him too!

Came into install reverse osmosis water filter systems which included drilling on the quartz counter top.
I cannot remember the name of the gentleman who came to do the installation but he took his time to do through installation.  Originally it was proposed as a half day of labor but ended up being two half days and it was still same price as initially quoted.
I am pleased with the installation and enjoying the water now.

They are prompt. The service went fine. They are expensive.

Both Ron and Mike were fantastic and did a great job really analyzing the systems and fine-tuning them to make sure everything was in great working order (they each spent approximately over 90 minutes completing their tasks). Although both had suggestions for accessories that might make the systems work better, they were not pushy about adding the accessories (e.g. UV lights for the HVAC system), just provided us with information about the accessories so that we could do some research and decide whether or not to get these additional accessories for our home. Also, each one did a great job explaining exactly what they were going to do, what changes they were going to make to the settings and suggestions for how to increase the work performed by the two systems.
We have used Lanz since moving to Champaign 2.5 years ago and could not be happier with their service or the quality of the technicians they send out. Although all have been great, we'll definitely be requesting that Ron and Mike come back next time since (a) they were so professional and (b) to establish some knowledge base about our home.  Again, we definitely love the quality of service that Lanz provides and we'll definitely stay with them for a long time into the future.

Our overall experience with them was very good.  We were very pleased and will continue to be.  They were on time and thorough.  They were very knowledgeable and we've been very pleased with our lower bills for the air conditioning as well as the heating.  I would just tell people that they are trustworthy, knowledgeable and that they would do a good job.

Called for a service. Someone from Lanz called, right away. He was very eager to schedule the service and promised that he would schedule to come out, next day.
2 days later, still waiting for the call. Would not use them, again.

Lanz put in a new heating and air conditioning system about 3 years ago. This summer the air conditioner quit working. I could not get Lanz to come and do service. I called 3 times over 5 days and every time I was told they would call me back. They never called me back. Who ever answered the phones evidently can't schedule appointments.

I feel like my air conditioner should have been under warranty and maybe that is why they didn't want to provide service.

They won because I gave up and got a different company to come and do the service.

The water heater stopped working over the weekend and I called on a Sunday morning, described the issue and they gave me the estimate over the phone. They said it would be 1-2 hours and they called 15 minutes ahead to let me know they were on the way so punctuality and communication was good. He looked at it after I described the issue and had the part on his truck. He replaced it and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. The actual charge was exactly what they said it would be in the estimate. I gave a 'B' on the price because I have done some research on flame sensor prices and $250 for that part seems a high.
Both the person I dealt with on my first call and the repairmen were very friendly and professional.

The team was punctual and very professional. They told me what they were going to do, step by step and approximately how long it would take. They cleaned up afterwards and put everything back where it was. Very professional, very impressed.

I will absolutely use their services in the future.

I was very pleased and that they were right on the quote. They're timing and all the workers were very respectful of our property. I couldn't ask more for the situation. They're just nice people to work with and the price is very competitive. They weren't the cheapest or the highest.
