Stan did a fantastic job. We had previously repainted the house and in the process another contractor had pulled off a length of gutter and left it in pieces on the ground. That contractor disappeared so we sought out Jack & Jill to see if they could help us out. Stan had to re-assemble the gutter piece as if it was a jigsaw puzzle and re-install (there weren't any new color matching replacements available). It took a lot of time but the result was absolutely perfect. We look forward to reaching out to Jack&Jill for future projects.

Excellent communication and work. Molly and Jude were fantastic. I could not be more pleased with the way they communicated. The work was professional and done faster than expected. The price was very fair and no hidden charges. Honest, timely, and quality. Could not ask for more. Hire them!!

Woodpeckers are tenacious. Patch one hole, and they make a new one the next day. Hope the scare tape works.

It was good pricing for what we thought. It took them a awhile to get back to us. One guy came out. This is like the 3rd of 4th time we have used them.

Definitely professional and timely. Answered questions quickly by email and text. Made good alternative suggestions but respected our final decision. They were a pleasure to deal with and I will definitely be using them again for my other bathroom.

It went great. The renovation was excellent. They did a lot of custom woodwork and what stood out to me the most that I liked about them was the quality of their work.

I found the service acceptable. The only issue was that it took longer than expected to schedule an appointment. The workman was on-time, professional and completed the job the same day. I may use their service again.
Response from Jack(&Jill!)OfAllTrades, Inc.
"Thank you for your positive review. I would like to say, though, that we were available to come out as soon as the next day after you contacted us, but it did not work with your schedule. We then had a few days filled with prior appointments to work around, in waiting for a day that could work for you, then had to swap things around to accommodate the late start time you required. We understand that people have busy lives, and, as always, did our best to accommodate. Thanks again!"

They were on time, other than a small hiccup scheduling that they corrected that part went well. I only gave them a B for quality because the caulk shrunk in several places leaving gaps I had to go back and fill myself. There is also a tile spot outside the shower they fixed that while "it will work" it does not look professional. At $85 an hour I would not have expected those mistakes.
Faith is a pit bull when it comes to keeping in contact and keeping you up to date, she also makes sure to give you follow up calls as well so you wont ever feel like you're being ignored.
Overall I would probably use them again but I am a little hesitant because of the $85 an hour rate. There were no hidden or last second additional costs or anything like that so honesty looks like it is a virtue with them as well.

"Hello. I believe that you may have reviewed the wrong company here. We have not done work for anyone by your name, have no one on our staff named Faith, and only charge $55/hr. We would love to work for you, in future, though! Please visit our website for pics and customer testimonials, and feel free to call us when you have additional home repair or improvement needs."

Kerry was scheduled to come but couldn't so he sent someone else.  The cartridges he put in  were the wrong size;   calcified portions of the fixture now showed, and one faucet fell off part of the fixture (hard to explain that) when turning it on, so that it kept catching.  Kerry came out to look at it and offered to make a special shopping trip to find the right cartridges - I told him no hurry, they were usable.  It was several months I think when he called and said he could come and do this work.  Unfortunately, he didn't bother to ask me which way the handles turned, and when I first used the shower I suddenly couldn't figure out how to adjust the water temp because they now turned differently.  I called him, and he said he put in the proper cartridges, that's how they were supposed to turn (even though I told him it was very difficult for me, and the tub in the other bath turns the other (old) way.).  Even now, months later, it is a learning process to turn the faucets correctly - esp. because the tub in the other bath has faucets that do not turn this way .  And then one faucet is again difficult to turn, which is why I had this work done to begin with.   I have just decided to live with this because I didn't want to deal with it anymore.  All in all it would have been better, and probably no more expensive, to have called my plumber; it would have been done correctly from the beginning.  It was a ridiculous expense for how the job turned out.   I offered to pay him something for the new set of cartridges when he installed them, and he accepted $20 (on top of the $90 original fee).
I have used this firm for several jobs in the past and had excellent results and enjoyed working with Molly and Kerry, but they've now increased their prices and I feel I can no longer afford them, esp. after the muddle with the shower job.
Response from Jack(&Jill!)OfAllTrades, Inc.
"I am sorry that you were disappointed in the work. Matching up valves is a tricky process..and you are correct that they were wrong the first time. I believe that we tried to get with you at least once in the interim to replace them, and you were unavailable. The reason that the valves now turn opposite ways, is that Kerry correctly purchased a hot valve and a cold valve--which always turn opposite ways. This is how it should be, and how all new fixture sets come. Someone else had redone the valves at some point prior (probably before you lived there) and had used either two hots or two colds, which is why they turned the same way. It could not have occurred to Kerry that this had been the case, as it was incorrect. So, we did the job correctly..it is just not what you were used to. I was there when Kerry spoke to you about this, and he did offer to come back and redo them a third time (restoring them to what you were used to), which you declined. Again, I am sorry this caused you to lose faith in us, but I hope you will give us another chance in the future. I will happily extend you a discount on your next service, if so."

Everything was excellent. Everytime I look at the baseboards and doors, I'm amazed at what a great job they did. They were very professional and knowledgeable. Molly has worked in building trades, and she took me to Home Depot where we picked out our supplies. She helped lead me in the right direction so that we weren't purchasing the wrong materials. It was a really good experience and I'd highly recommend them.

I've been very happy with them. I've been happy with the service they provided. This is the thing where I call them with the list of things that I wanted done. They match me up with a tradesman that can do the jobs for me. The guy that has been to my house twice is wonderful. I can't speak of how the other people they match out. I happened to get a really good guy. Jim was really good. He did all the work in five hours. What made me decide to use them again is their responsiveness. When I call, they try to accommodate what needed to be done. I had had a new counter top and sink. The part that was hitting the window sill. I needed the window sill cut back. I called and this lady told me that she will talk to his guy who does carpentry. She said that she will see if she can get him out here in the morning and cut it back. He came out and he did it for me in 40 minutes. It was amazing. I would use them in the future. In fact, I got my next project lined up for them.

After installing them, they replaced the toilet.  Now you cannot get into the shower because the doors are backwards.  They'll fix it...but for additional charges.  After he realized the shower doors were installed incorrectly, he became very confrontational with my wife.  She became very upset and left the room, and he finally apologized later on in the evening.  Everytime they came to the house, it was a different person.  Instructions were not properly communicated.  I spoke with the owner's wife.  Under the contract, she said if I did not pay the bill, she would have the police come to my house.  I told them just to come and get their check, but I did not want them to come into the house.
Response from Jack(&Jill!)OfAllTrades, Inc.
"This customer provided a shower door that they had bought some time ago, that was unsuitable for the application...and an unusually intricate and time-consuming install. This was only one of several complications caused by the fixtures they had (ignorantly and erringly) picked out and purchased prior to hiring us--most of which I caught beforehand and brought to their attention. At that time they were grateful. Since we did not open the packaging and read the instructions for the door until the time of installation (and it looked fairly standard judging by the photo on the box), I could not have foreseen this unusual door system/install. Unlike most shower doors units (where both panels slide), this one had only one operating panel. We installed it per the manufacturer's instructions (the doors must overlap in such a manner that the shower head is not aimed at the gap between the two panels), but the customer was unhappy with it, as it is more difficult to get in that way due to the proximity of the toilet. We offered them a few options (one of which was reinstalling the doors the other way, if they signed off on the fact that they doors would leak like a sieve), and they requested that option, saying they would pay for the additional time. We only asked that they pay the original contract balance first (getting a bad feeling at this point) since all other work was completed to their satisfaction, but they tried to leverage us by withholding it--and became surly. At this point we no longer trusted them and were afraid to invest more time without payment for time to date, and advised them of our rights in the situation--and that, since we had installed their door per manufacturer's instructions, we would pursue our rights to enforce the contract if need be. In the end they paid us, but told us to leave without reinstalling the doors. We regret the outcome of the situation, however; this is why we prefer to work with people throughout the process, from start to finish, so that we may educate them on the implications of various choices, and help guide them. Unfortunately, this is what sometimes happens when people go out shopping for materials THEN hire someone to install them. They think they will save money doing it this way, but (since they do not deal with these things on a daily basis) they do not typically know what to look out for, and/or all of the things that one must know when selecting materials, for suitability of application and installation. Again, we are saddened when this sort of thing happens--and we will think twice before agreeing to install materials supplied by customers, in the future."
