The short of this long story is to stay away. $91 for a dozen of roses in May that lasted 3 days is not acceptable. If you want to be told you are wrong then tell them you are not happy with their product. They will then tell you they do not want your business and to not come back. My mother and I have both used this florist in the past for different occasions and have always been satisfied. All of our bouquets have been big and beautiful and cost was not an issue. On a past order the florist even asked me if I could raise my budget so that he could make it better. Which was no problem. His ideas seemed to match what I wanted. The results were very good. Tim does beautiful work which is why I have used them. When he says ?big and beautiful? it will be big and beautiful. This time was the only time it was not big and beautiful. In fact on day 3 my roses are dead. When I talked to them about my arrangement not being big and beautiful I was met with extreme hostility and I was told that I was wrong. My mother ordered a dozen roses they call confetti. Some florist call it lipstick or charming unique. It is actually stocked by most of our local grocery stores. It is usually a peach to yellow colored rose tipped in red or dark orange. The woman on the phone said it was no problem and he could make it big and beautiful. They delivered the bouquet and it was simply a dozen of roses with a lot of filler and some willow branches that extended about 1 foot from the top of the bouquet. One of the branches was broken. It just so happened that when they were trying to figure out what to do with the broken twig my sister had pulled up in the driveway and seen the whole thing. My mother called in and talked to the florist Tim. He said that he was sorry for the broken willow and would bring some by. He wanted to know what would make us happy. He then proceeded to tell her that they charge $60 for a dozen of roses and $15 for the vase. He told her it was memorial day and they were busy. The delivery was for Wednesday the week before memorial day. 2 hours later we decided to just stop by the florist because we had errands to run. The florist was not there and I told the woman that I would wait. After about 10 mins she told me that she was the owner and wanted to know if this was this about the flowers. I told her yes, we were not satisfied. She then got very rude and firm and told me that those were special order roses and the vase retails for $45. I told her that my mom had talked to Tim about it and she interrupted me and told me that my mom did not talk to him. I told her that she did in-fact talk to him today and he did not seem to think that these items cost this much. She told me she is the owner, which is news to me because this is the first time I have ever saw this woman and talked to her. Every time I called this florist Tim would answer and they listed Tim as the owner of the flower shop in the newspaper ad. She told me she would only refund half my money back and he was extremely upset that I was not happy with it. I told her that I really was not because I have ordered bigger bouquets from them in the past that cost less. She told me again very loudly that I did not understand. She told me roses were out of season now (summer of 2014) and its just like when you go to the grocery store and buy a watermelon in the winter; it will cost double than what you have to pay in the summer. I said I have ordered stuff all the time throughout the whole year with you guys and he always does great work. She even argued that they did not break the willow. She kept on and on saying how upset he was. I told her this is why I wanted to wait to talk to him about it and that is what I am going to do. The florist finally comes back and I told him that I waited 2 hours and decided to come on in to talk to him. He became very loud and pointed his hand at me and said ? look HONEY, I am not going to stop what I am doing just to bring you a little stick?. He proceeded to tell me that it would be delivered later. I said I am use to your past arrangements. They have always been big and beautiful and this year it was not. All of your past arrangements were cheaper and bigger than this $91 arrangement. He said that was because it was memorial day. I said I have always got a bouquet from here for my birthday the same time, around Memorial Day and it was never this way. I said honestly it looks like you were in a hurry. He said duh, of course I am. I said again but you have always done excellent work. Gina the supposed owner says thats his problem he always does big and beautiful work. She then said well I?m going to give him half back. He said ? nu uh, no no no, you do not give him a penny, I deserve to get paid for my work?. I tried to talk to him some more and he turned around and went up stairs and said do what you want. I said did you hear that, he told you to do what you want. She reiterated again that I do not understand. She said these are special order roses that cost double. I said its strange because the florist did not seem to think they cost this much. I said you even charged us $10 for delivery and he told us its only $5. She lied out of that one and said she never told us it was $10. I said well you delivered to Marion for me which is 20 more miles for only $10. She said nope, I charge $15. I thought to myself do I need to bring in my receipts. She then said ? I can guarantee you that if your mother ordered these flowers anywhere else she would pay double and get an arrangement that was half the size of what you got?. I told her I am sorry but you are wrong. I ordered the same roses in March and got a vase that was bigger, the roses long stem and it cost me 1/3 less than what my mother paid for these. She said well I am going to give you half of your money back and I do not want your business, you do not understand, you are not listening to me, do not ever come back. I told her that would not be a problem because she already lost me as a customer. I have never had a business owner raise their voice at me and tell me I was wrong. She did not want to work with me; the customer. Half of their store is a flower shop and the other half is a tanning place. They are not professional. They left out confidential information for any one to read such as orders, customers name, phone number and address. This was just not at the counter but strolled all over the flower shop. The florist even left out his letter from The Department of Human Services. She never told me she was sorry. In fact I was told that I was wrong multiple times. After the roses died I discarded the roses and found a piece of floral foam and glue in the bottom of the vase. This vase was clearly used. I cannot believe that they charged me full price for a new vase and gave me a used one. I have only had a bad arrangement a few times in my life from various florist but when things go wrong they would tell me they were sorry and offered to remake the arrangement or I could have a refund. This flower shop simply does not know how to treat their customers which is sad because he does good work. On the off chance he makes a mistake, do yourself a favor and do not mention it to them.
