Bumpy. I received an estimate over the phone for $840.00 on 11/02 which was $300 to $400 cheaper than the other 2 companies I called. Chuck, the sales rep, assured me he had carpet for a rental property in stock. Since I had a tenant moving in furnature in the next few weeks, the matter was urgent. I arrived at the shop and gave the sales rep Chuck my name, told him I spoke with him earlier. He raised the price by $400.00 to $1250 and said he was out of stock. I showed him the quote I had written down. He found a higher grade carpet which was in stock and made me feel guilty that he was loosing $80.00 on it. Gave him a key to enter the premises since I work full time. On Wednesday the installers removed the old carpeting which was wet in some areas. The floor needed 2 days to dry. I was not on the premises when they removed the padding, but noticed many bits and pieces laying around when I checked it out that evening. I contacted Chuck the next day to make sure they would clean up before laying the new pad and carpet. He replied that the cleanup was my responsability and he would not do it. After some discussion, he finally agreed to do it but mentioned that it was not his practice to have to make 2 trips for an install (1 for removal, 1 for install). Duh, you can't put new carpeting on an area that got all wet from a plumbing leak!! Thats why I needed new carpeting to begin with. I also told him I needed new tack strips in 2 areas along the wall where it had gotten wet. I was concerned about mildew on the old ones. I contacted Chuck to set up the installation appointment and he seemed confused, like he did not remember who I was even though I introduced myself and mentioned my address. Installation scheduled for Friday, did not know the time. On Friday the tenant wanted to get into the premises early to paint which I agreed to. He asked me to find out the time the installers were comming. I called Chuck and told him my tenant wanted to know what time the installers are comming. To quote Chuck, this was his response: "I don't need anyone looking over my guy's shoulders and nit picking about the installation". He was very rude to me. I contacted another contractor regarding this (Terry, my super-hero from CCCM). Terry still had a key to my house. Terry stopped by and found that they had ignored my request to take up the old tack strips which had gotten wet and subject to mold. Terry made them take up the padding and put down new tack strips. When all was said and done, the installer did a nice job on the install and I had a beautiful new carpet. I got a great price and professional installation, but due to how unproffesional Chuck was to me as a customer after I made my purchase, I would never do business with this company again.
Description of Work: For my rental property which was vacant, remove old carpet and padding that had got wet and started to mold. Return another day to install new carperting and padding. I had a plumbing issue on the second floor which wet the family room carpet pretty bad. It remained wet for several days and needed to be replaced urgently to prevent mold and mildew issues.

They did it all very professional. I found they were very cheap but the quality of the work was still good. I have had no problems with the work. I would recommend them.
Description of Work: They put in carpeting in my basement and laundry room area.
