They provided a cost estimate for replacing the two front windows on my home.  I selected them because their price was competitive with other quotes I received and they had a better product.  A side note, I gave them an A on the price but I think everyone's price for a replacement window is very expensive.
On the day of installation they actually arrived early which was good because it started to rain just as they finished the installation.
The exterior trim boards had to be removed and they were very careful to avoid damaging the boards or the aluminum siding.
The old windows had minimal flashing, the original builder just taped the window frames to the Tyvek house wrap.  For the installation of the new window, Next Door & Window first used a waterproofing membrane on the bottom and sides of the window opening.  Then on the outside he used many rows of the membrane/flashing (top, bottom and sides) to water proof the area which would be under the trim boards.  He even took the time to slide a few inches of each row of the flashing under the aluminum siding.  When he finished the installation he asked if I had any paint that matched the trim board (I did) and he touched up the nails used on the trim boards.

This is our second contract with Next Door & Windows. We used them in 2011 with the replacement of our picture window in our living room. When it came time to begin replacing more windows in our home, we didn't give it a second thought and went right to Next Door & Window. They do exemplary work and when I had my blinds lady come in to measure for new blinds, she remarked what a super job they did! The windows were all square, which apparently is not the norm on most houses.
Next Door has always been prompt in responding to our needs. They call prior to set up and installation and their salesman, Robert Guzman, whom we've worked with twice now, did a great job. Follow up calls are always made to insure we are happy with our windows. Marvin Infinity is a high quality window and we are impressed with how well the window trim matches that moulding in the rooms. Next Door custom matches and does all the finishing work. The windows are effortless and so easy to clean plus they have the added bonus of energy conservation!
Our installer was the same for both projects and was quick and efficient. In about 6 hours our 6 windows were replaced. And they clean up so well! Next Door has quality installers who really know their craft. I would recommend Next Door & Window in a heartbeat and will be calling them for the next round of replacement windows.  As a side note, we looked at Andersen Renewal for our first project and were not impressed. The sales people were uninformed and couldn't answer questions my husband had about the installation process. We had visited their store in Yorktown.
You can't go wrong with Next Door & Window?class act!

Our salesman Mike was very helpful.  We chose Marvin fiberglass windows with an ever wood option.  The wood trim around the windows was beautifully stained and goes with the existing wood trim elsewhere in our house. The fiberglass windows have the appearance of wood without the mantaince.  The team of installers worked hard and cleaned up after themselves.  Some of the old wood windows had rotted sills.  Next's installers rebuilt these rotted areas.  We were not charged extra for this work.  The windows came with full screens which is a nice feature.  There were some things that needed attention after the windows were installed and the Next promptly addressed these issues (touch up work/ replaced a bent screen).  These windows were not cheap however we got a very nice product for our money.

The entire process from beginning to end went very well. The windows came in as expected and the install process was seamless. The painter came to touch up within a few days and even came on a Saturday which was perfect for my schedule. Every person I worked with at Next Door & Window was professional and considerate. I highly recommend this vendor!

This was one of the BEST experiences I have ever had with a contractor. From start to finish, they were professional, helpful, prompt, communicative, conscientious ... and did beautiful work.  I originally spoke with Next representatives at a home remodeling show, after reading positive reviews on Angie's list. I scheduled an appointment to come to my place and evaluate. The representative inspected my patio door and thoroughly explained the various replacement brands and options (i.e., vinyl, fiberglass, wood, etc.) Afterward, I visited NEXT's wonderful Burr Ridge showroom to actually see the various types and brands of windows/doors.  Everyone there was extremely helpful, nice and informative. One of the managers even took me into the large back warehouse and work area to thoroughly explain all the various window materials and options.  I chose a window and agreed on a price.  The entire process was then explained to me.
Shortly thereafter, a contractor came out to my place to take exact measurements for installation ... and an installation date was scheduled. Representative kept me informed at each stage.  On April 6th, my window was installed.  The installer was extremely professional, knowledgeable, conscientious, and cleaned up any debris left on my deck or floor. He seemed very experienced and technically precise. He did a great job with every detail ... and answered any questions I had along the way.
Overall, I would recommend NEXT to anyone looking to replace windows or doors.  I would definitely use them for any future window or door replacements.  I would also strongly suggest that anyone thinking of getting doors or windows take the time to visit the NEXT showroom ... it will give you a great idea of the various window styles, materials, colors, surfaces, hardware options, and other features available.  There are several people on location to answer any questions you may have.  I found this so helpful.

We love the doors - they came in earlier than anticipated by several weeks, the installation was on time and within the timeline that was told to us.  We could not be happier with our new doors or our experience with Next Day Door & Windows.

We are very happy with the products and services we received from Next Door and Window.  We had windows that were 25+ years old and were badly damaged.  The crew not only replaced the windows, but fixed dry wall and sub-flooring that had been damaged due to water leaks in the windows.  The salesman was pleasant and polite during the entire process.  He showed up during each and every installation day to check on our progress and see if we had any questions.  One of the owners called after the first day of installation to make sure we were happy with the progress so far.  The crew was on time and courteous at all times.  The craftsman ship is outstanding and we couldn't be happier with the final product.  We had gotten a few quotes for this job and found Next Door and Window to be in line with other companies offering a similar product.  We HIGHLY recommend Next Door and Window.

The sales person (Scott?  no business card) arrived on time.  He was very courteous and took off his shoes.  I showed him what we needed to replace.  In the process of trying to determine what manufacturer made the windows he broke a window and had to call a service person from the company to come out and fix the window. In listening to him on the phone with his office he actually insinuated that they were doing me a favor fixing my window at no charge that he broke.  Not only did he damage the window forcing it open because he did not check that it had security screws locking it in place, he broke pieces of the plastic guides on the sides trying to remove the screws and correct his mistake.  The company did came out within 30 minutes and get the window back in its frame and tracking.   It is till damaged but at least it is closed properly.
He did not seem very knowledgeable about the products he was selling or the sales materials he was using.
I asked him to leave but he said he needed to stay until the repair guys showed up so I agreed.
At this point I decided to just focus on the front door.  He had a lot of brochures with different doors available.  He was not able to show me a list or even point to the doors that would fit in my entry doors.  We had to pick and then check if the style/model I liked would fit.  (I have a standard door size door but wanted to change a single door with sidelights to just a double door)
When we finally found one that fit he looked up the costs and made a list and then put the numbers into his laptop and showed me a blind estimate on the computer.  Even though I watched him compile all of the costs in a list when I asked him how much the doors were separately he said that he didn't know and then had no way to breakdown the costs. Instead he said he had a video to show me to justify the costs.  I felt like he was lying to my face.
I said the cost was very expensive about $3700 and his response was that he understood and that they actually only "close" 34% of the in home estimates. I asked him if there was anything that he could do to lower the costs since my budget was closer to $1500-2000 for the front door maybe a different door or something he had no suggestions.  He gave me instead a story about how "hard" it is to change out a door and all of the extra work and aluminum casing and how many men it took to do the work at different stages of the installation as if it would take a week to change one front door.  The excuses wore me out and again made me feel like he was lying.  I have never received a written or emailed estimate of any kind.

3/16/13  The owner Scott called and apologized for the damage to the window and expressed it was an accident.  He also apologized for not being able to do business with us...he didn't seem interested in our business.

We have guests for St Pats today and they noticed that there was a draft from this window not aware of the fiasco with Next Door and when we looked at the window we found that they had also split the frame on the window pane.  I am going to have to replace the entire window now.  Unbelievable.

3/20/2012  The owner Scottie called and emailed and then came out and inspected the window and did a written estimate for replacing all the windows on the ground floor.  THEY ARE REPLACING THE BROKEN WINDOW AND INSTALLATION AT NO COST TO US.  We are also replacing 3 others so that they all look the same.  He also did an estimate on the front door and is checking to get us the best price on the door that we want.

He has been communicating with us daily and has gone above and beyond to make sure that we are happy and they replace what they accidentally broke.

We liked everyone we met and worked with.  They are committed to quality at every level, but that said, the price was just too high.  They wanted to do a full-frame installation for our replacement windows.  It added significantly to the cost.  None of the other four companies we got estimates from felt full-frame was necessary.  When I asked our sales person at Next about the install, he and his boss stood firm.  Frankly, we just couldn't afford it, and we went with another company who did a cheaper "pocket" install.  We are  very happy with the results of the cheaper installation.
I think Next misses the mark a bit.  Yes, I want quality, but it still needs to be at at fair and competitive price.
Response from Next Door & Window

"Thank you for your review. At the time of our initial visit, we thought the member wanted wood removable grilles, which are only available in the wood series windows. The wood series windows are generally at a higher price point than vinyl windows. Vinyl windows are availbale with grilles between the glass and grilles permanently adhered to the exterior surface of the glass, but not removable. We misunderstood the customer's willingness to accept a different grille type with the vinyl windows. We didn't fully understand the customer's interest in the vinyl product and therefore did not quote it. The customer ended up buying the vinyl product. We do offer high quality vinyl, fiberglass, and wood windows in both full frame and pocket installation. We try to find the best product for each homeowner's home and budget. We are sorry we missed the mark on this one. Justin- Owner"

When we called to get an estimate we were able to get an employee in our home very quickly.  He spent plenty of time going over things with us and took initial measurements for the estimate.  Had another man out soon after for final measurements.
Despite the weather being down into the low teens on the 3 install days, the crews showed up promptly, were very polite and friendly, kept the mess to a minimum and cleaned up well after themselves.
We were told that their had been some rot and carpenter ant damage around one of the doors being replaced and that was all cleaned up, repaired and replaced as needed before the new door was installed.
I was extremely happy with the work provided by the company and will certainly hire them again for the work we are planning in the future.

We used the one in Naperville. They are not cheap, and you cannot even call them inexpensive, but they do an absolute first class job from start to finish. We had a lot of problem keeping this room cool. We put skylights in it because we had so much trouble keeping it warm in the winter while the skylights takes care of the warmth part. Now, we are having trouble keeping it cool, and I do not know if it is standard or not, but the glass that we chose on the patio door actually has a heat lamp on one side of the glass right up near it; you could not feel it on the other side. It is excellent. We would use them again in the future.

Had salesman out to discuss options, pricing, overall factors involved with the house (age of house, our entryway and existing doors). Very nice, very knowledgeable. Decided on a set of doors, they scheduled for someone to come out to measure for the custom door order, then contacted by a project manager giving us ETA, and planning for install date.  Installer came out as planned, performed the entire job without a hitch.  Went very well, and we were incredibly happy with the end result.

Our front door was drafty (we could see sunlight around the sides),drafty, and rusting/rotting.
Mike Gleason came out for 1 1/2 hours the first day to give us an estimate, but since he was the first vendor we met with, we didn't made a decision that day.  A few weeks later, when we decided on Next to do our door, he came back out and went over all the choices and the paperwork again.
It took about eight weeks to fabricate the door and we got periodic updates during that time.  We managed to get it installed the day after it came in because of a last-minute cancellation.  It turns out that a lot of the underlying wood in our old door frame was rotten, and they cleared most of it out before installing the new door.  It took about four hours, they put down dropclothes and cleaned up before they left -- we didn't have to do any cleaning at all.  The door looks fabulous, it's sealed well, and no light comes through except for the windows!

A plastic drape was used inside the house to enclose the work area. The door and installation job looks good.  The carpenter was courteous, cleaned up well and left a care & maintenance guide.  The service department returned at my request to do a small amount of wood caulking along the threshold.
