Marvin fiberglass windows are not cheap but I was able to negotiate some off of the initial Next Door and Window price. Everyone from Next Door and Window were professional in their dealings with me. Included in the price was removal of entire window including frame, Other companies may be cheaper by leaving in the old frame but i wanted all new. The price also included our choice of stains for the windows and interior trim in the Next Door and Window factory (eliminates in home mess). The on-site new window installation included foam insulation to fill any air gaps, the interior trim pieces, and filling of any small brad nail holes from the trim installation.
.Installation went well though it took longer than expected since only a 2 man crew showed up when i was expecting a 4 man crew. Finishing up was a bit rushed so the walk through and demo of how to work the windows was rushed but turned out ok. We were missing one screen and noticed one trim board that looked bad after they left. Both were taken care without incident but took a little while till they came back out.
Conclusion: I could have spent less elsewhere but i expected quality, paid for quality, and received quality. In hindsight, i would choose Next Door and Window again and recommend them to friends and family.

The happy ending is we are quite pleased with the quality of the Marvin window (slider, external color, internal white) and the door. I was super impressed by the technician who came to measure the windows, the installers, and the visit to trim out the interior framing. One window was damaged in shipment, but was not discovered until it was installed. The installers promptly told me the issue and had already ordered a replacement which came 3 weeks later.
Different crew to install the storm door. It is very nice. It is a quite large French door style. It works perfectly.
I have more windows to buy once the weather warms up and I can save more money. I'll be using Next Door and Window again, assuming they don't raise their prices that much! I am glad I got high quality windows with a good installation. I would not be bragging about how little I paid if Id gotten crap.
"We are very sorry this happened to our customer. The windows were originally installed in 2008 and our company responded immediately when our customer called with concerns. After the windows were installed it was determined that the siding, which was not installed by us, was faulty and also in need of replacement. The customer did have the siding replaced and with the siding and other corrective measures the issues were resolved. The owner of our company called our customer today and they confirmed that they have not had any further problems. We appreciate the feedback and we are fully committed to resolving any issues that may arise."
