"Have you ever had the feeling that you should've trusted your gut instinct?  [Member Name Removed] called our office inquiring about our Angie's List Deal for our $99 Roof Leak Repair & Maintenance. She said painters walked on her roof and they noticed/caused damaged to the plywood; they advised she call a roofer. She called our office regarding our deal and asked if it would be the right fit. We responded "we cannot know for sure until we come out, but it sounds like this deal may not be the ideal fit because it only includes an inspection & caulking".  We went around in circles, tried to dissuade her, but she insisted. She mentioned that the previous company who installed her roof no longer wanted to work with her on this issue(RED FLAG). She said she had another roofing company come out whom she liked very much and "would probably go with", but would meet with us anyway(RED FLAG). After much back & forth, we scheduled her appt.  Our consultant inspected her roof & attic. She told him that she "couldn't get anyone to come out for her repair job" and that no one is offering roof repairs. He replied that we don't offer general roof repairs either, we only offer a specific deal of an inspection & caulking. The appt ended smoothly.  Our receptionist then called [Member Name Removed] to determine what payment method she would like to use for the deal. The customer was surprisingly & strangely defensive, saying she doesn't owe any money & assumed the inspection was free. She said the consultant "didn't even look in the attic because it was too hot", which was a blatant lie; he inspected her attic via her interior attic ladder(RED FLAG). We told her we never offer free roof repair/inspections, only free estimates for full replacements. We also said that we only scheduled her appointment based upon her specific request of our deal. She could not be reasoned with and had bad intentions from the start.  False reviews are slander, and it's unfortunate that mean-spirited people know they can get away with any negative online review."
