About us
Services provided Drake provides both residential and commercial services. We decorate many of Chicago’s high end neighborhoods but no job is too small. We also provide services to many commercial customers completing interiors and exteriors for McDonald’s, Burger King’s, Enterprise car rentals, hotels, restaurants, Doctors offices, Country Clubs, Associations, and Dentist offices, to name only a few. Interior Drake carries out all manner of drywall and plaster repair. We strip wallpaper, remove paneling, remove unwanted woodwork and perform full preparation to all surfaces prior to painting or paper hanging. We help with color selections and will paint sample boards for our customers. We do a wide range of faux finishes and have display boards to help with selection. We hang all manner of wall coverings and all fifty-four inch vinyl goods. We also install decorative trim such as crown moldings, chair rails, casings, frame moldings, and baseboards. We paint all surfaces including walls, ceilings, woodwork, metal work and floorings. Our capabilities include spray painting kitchen and bathroom cabinets for a fresh new look without you having to replace them. Exterior Full preparation is a must for a quality exterior job. Washing is important for a clean surface but does not replace the hard work of scraping and sanding. We paint and stain all wood exteriors as well as priming and painting of vinyl and metal surfaces. We have also carried out a variety of jobs such as painting hopscotch and four square courts for schools and painting signs for businesses. We have no issue with two or three story homes and buildings. We clean and refurbish decking and will stain and seal your deck to make it look like new.

* We were quoted 3 days of work. Instead they completed in one day by hiring additional help, not all were professional painters. There was a team of 6.
* The work completed in one day but we found:
- Areas of the ceiling were not painted
- Crown molding was not well caulked leaving many cracks and separation
* The team lead came back to fix the crown molding and painted some noticeable areas that were missed. However even today I'm finding areas in the ceiling that were not patched and/or painted. The expectation was entire ceiling gets patched (where dry wall nails chipped away original paint) and fully painted.
The price was competitive but the quality of work was not good.

I have a much bigger job scheduled in February and will be using a competitor and will not use Drake again based on my recent experience.

Please let us know if there is a different way we should try to reach you! 2) As we have re-emailed the estimates and invoices to you there is no over-charge of $500.00. There was a separate estimate which you have for $510.00 for your garage which you had us complete. 3) Whenever we make a mistake and there is a touch up we are more than happy to return and take care of it at no charge and with a smile. They did a good job; there was just a lot of work that needed to be done. They were not perfect. Cleaning up their mess was fine.
