I HAVE USED DRAKE PAINTING FOR 20 YRS ON A LAUNDRYLIST OF PAINTING AND WALLPAPER WORK INSIDE AND OUTSIDE MY HOUSE. THEY HAVE ALWAYS DONE A FIRST CLASS JOB. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT JOE IS A HAWKEYE FAN.

You have to supply you own paint which I was floored because most painters provide the paint. It probably actually cost me more than $3000. The only real complaint I had was I had it done in two stages because there was no way to move all the furniture around. The first stage was perfect, the second stage, I guess, they were in a hurry to finish it up and they did get paint on my bedroom furniture. It is what it is, it came of. I thought it was kind of like that second portion was a little hurried up and this didn't even include any  closets. I thought it was pretty pricey for supplying your own paint and not doing any closets. The first portion of it, the guy was very polite, I had showed him that he had skipped a couple of closet doors that he was supposed to paint but he had them all done. He was very neat, he cleaned up everything. The second portion of it, they did clean up but it was a little rushed but it wasn't anything I couldn't live with.

George and John were punctual, professional, courteous and cognizant of keeping the rest of my house without tracking white paint.  The job took three days because I kept adding work (ceilings and trim) for them to do.  Once I saw the craftsmanship, I was very impressed.  They took the handles off the cabinets, and put them on after the job was complete.  All of the cabinets and doors were reattached and I am reaping the rewards.  I love the kitchen, looks clean and crisp.  I had nice cabinets that came with our house, but did not like the grainy wood.  To save money, we freshened up the look and painted them white semi-gloss.  Made a world of difference and surprisingly are easy to clean.

We just recently purchased a house with tons of outdated and poorly-kept wallpaper.  My father found Drake Painting on Angie's List, used them, and recommended them.  We called to set up an appointment for an estimate and set it up for the same week.  Dan came out to our place and listened to all our concerns and questions patiently,surveyed the place quietly while we did other work, and informed us he would send us an itemized estimate so we may choose which rooms we wanted to have what done in.  He made nothing seem like a hassle or inconvenience at any time.  We had the estimate the next day and work started the following week...we chose to have them do the wallpaper removal and painting in all the rooms in the house...the price was right.
I can't say enough about the crews Drake sent out...Mark and Craig were professional, courteous, hard-working, efficient, the list could go on!  Everyone worked so quickly, listened to my concerns, answered my neurotic questions about paint, plaster, etc., and even helped me with some new homeowner stuff that I am still learning (i.e. how to replace the filter in my furnace)!  There were no surprises, no hidden fees; If they needed to fix something on a particular wall or if another coat of paint was needed, I was immediately shown the issue, explained what was necessary, and asked what I wanted to do.  Mark and Craig, along with the other crew were just flat out great guys.
The work was fantastic...I cannot believe it is the same house that we walked into 3 weeks ago.  The walls look perfect, the paint is phenominal.  The place was cleaned up as best they could, which I was very grateful for (so much plaster dust everywhere...what can you do?) They finished in about 6.5 business days.  After the job they did on our new home, I don't know that I'll ever be needed them to do anything again, they did such a great job...but if I do, I'm definitely calling them!

Drake did the work on time, and they did it well.  There were no hassles whatsoever.

The job turned out very well.

We called in three companies to quote on painting the interior of a house we were about to close on in April.  All three companies came to the house at the same time.  Our realtor met them at the house.  Feedback from the realtor indicated that Drake came across as the most professional company that was doing the quoting.  The quotes were submitted on 4/11 and we closed on the house on 4/13.  Drake was able to start the work on 4/14 (Saturday).  They had a crew of 4 to start and others came to assist on some of the other days.  They were very professional.  They were sure to ask questions if they were not clear on what needed to be done or what we expected.  Our master bath was painted the wrong color and when pointed out to them, they did not have any issue correcting the mistake without any additional cost.  Each day we would go through the house after they left and take a look at the completed work.  We ended up putting post it notes around the completed rooms for issues we wanted addressed and they addressed the majority of the issues.Overall I think they did a fairly good job.  Only reason I did not mark an A for quality was that there was some patching that needed to be done on the walls and after they were done painting you could still tell where they patched.  Also there were a few walls in which we had a dark paint color used and there are noticeable roller marks on the walls that we did not specifically call out with roller mark issues.  We did not see those other wall issues until after they were done with the work.  Dark colors are tough to get to look good but we went with a higher price quote and reputation to ensure that there would not be issues like that.  Also, we have very tall ceilings in the first floor kitchen area and over the months after they were finished we found several areas where there was spottings of paint on the floor.  Easily removed but again would not have expected that from the higher bid company out of the three.  Overall a very good experience but would not pay as much as we did based on the information we provided in this review regarding our overall experience.

Drake did a very good job. We hired them to paint all of the common areas (i.e., kitchen, dining room, living room, hallways, staircases and associated ceilings) and part of our master bath in our 1600 sq. ft. townhouse in order to get it looking good to sell. I had painted all of the bedrooms myself, so we didn't use them for that.
Color selection was simple. They dropped off the swatches, we chose the colors and called to let them know which ones we wanted. All paint was included in the price. We just wanted to keep it simple, as we were moving anyway, and Drake understood our need not to have it look like the Sistine Chapel. 
Drake sent one painter (Matt) for 5 full days that week, and he was able to finish the job by the end of the week. It looked great! High quality job, and our townhouse sold in 3 days at a good price in 2009! That should tell you something about how good the paint job looked. I was only disappointed that we couldn't stay there longer to enjoy it.
Best of all, Matt treated my wife and 2 year-old son with the utmost respect and professionalism the entire week. My son looked forward to seeing him every morning, and he was conscious about keeping the area clean and trying to stay out of the way while my wife was chasing our son around. Great job to "Painter Matt" and everyone at Drake!

They were excellent. What struck me most was there were some problems after the job and they came back to fix them at no cost. They were very personable. They are a family business and they treat it that way. I picked them because of a reference in Angie's List. I would use them again if needed.

They were really great. The team came when they said they were coming, they tore down all the ivy that was covering my house. They kept all the debris under control and to a minimum. They worked efficiently and did a great job of making my shabb old house look really great. I asked them to be sure to caulk and plug any holes in the old structure to be sealed out and protected and they did just that.
I would totally use their services again, they did great work, at a great price!

Dan returned my initial call the same day and came out for the estimate within the week.  Once I accepted the quote, Dan said it would take about two weeks for them to start the job.  They started on time and completed the exterior work in three days.  The interior work was done about two weeks later and took about 3/4 of a day to complete.  Dan and the crew that did the work were prompt, professional and very thorough.

Joe scheduled to come over to give me an estimate and after I accepted, I was put on the schedule, I only had to wait a week for the work to begin.  Two men did the work in 3 days, they were very professional, answered all my questions satisfactorily, were prompt and cleaned up every evening.  I am very happy with the quality of work they did.  This is the second time I've used this company and yes, I would definitely use them again.  Everything went smoothly.

Excellent service, start to finish.

First class from start to finish.  Drake responded to our inquiry, inspecting the job, providing a written quote with in 24 hours.  The painters arrived on time, introduced themselves (shaking hands!!!), inspected the project and explained what they would be doing. They taped and tarped the entire area, wasting know time to get the job completed. Their clean up was exceptional - except for the smell of paint, you wouldn't have known they were there. I have dealt with many painters, but none like Drake. Professional, quality workmanship and  competitively price.

Drake painting did an excelent job, it looks great and the price was very reasonable.  Two other contractors suggested we needed two coats of stain.  I asked Dan from Drake what he recommended and he said one coat will do the job based on the prep they planned to do and the fact that we were painting the same color.  He was 100% correct.  One coat coverage was all that was needed.  The painter that did the work was very professional and went the extra mile for us.  We had some posts that needed caulking, rather than use the white caulk he had on the truck (since it would not dry quickly enough), he ran up to Menards and got colored caulk.  

On any particular day, there were at least 5 gentlemen here working on the site.  All holes were patched, areas were sanded and prepped and at the end of the day the house was always cleaned.  The work that was completed was beyond my expectations and they finished in half the time originally projected.

Drake Painting was one of four painters from whom I got quotes for painting the interior and exterior of a house I was remodeling. They were the fastest to respond with a price, quickly responded with alternates, and were the most organized through the bidding process.  Of the four bids they were not the lowest but they were the lowest rpice for a contractor that had insurance, and they were significantly less than the other two bids.  (Based upon their performance and price, I have stopped wasting the other painters' time and only getting a price from Drake Painting).The job went very smotthly and in the end Drake painting made my company, Benchmark Homes, look even better.

Dan Malenfant came to the house and provided a proposal exactly when he said he would. The quote was competitive, professionally prepared, and detailed. Once we selected Drake, Dan was extremely responsive in scheduling the work, which began on time. The painters were very professional, detail oriented, neat and quick. We had an issue with door hardware that was damaged, but Drake took immediate and full responsibility to our complete satisfaction. The finished product was excellent and on time.

Workers showed up on time and worked full days despite 100+ degree weather.   Finished the job as scheduled.  I'm very pleased with the end result.

They are prompt, have great prices, and are true to their word. I first used them about 20 years ago, and then I used them again two weeks ago. Because I have been so happy with them, I plan on using them in a couple weeks for another job.
