Budget Blinds of Glenview

"I am sorry this person is unhappy she did not get a call back as soon as she would like; however, I am unable to service Des Plaines. Budget Blinds is a franchise, and we all have exclusive territories we own. Another franchisee owns the Des Plaines territory, so she is the one that would have to service this customer. My office staff works part time; and when they are not in, I have an answering service that takes my calls - which was the case the day she called. I have been using the same answering service for years and have never had any complaints about them. When I saw this negative review, I called the supervisor at my answering service and had her play the recorded phone calls for me. Their records show this customer called 3 times and left 2 messages. The person answering the phone explained that we were on appointments with other customers, that they were the answering service operator, and that they would get a message to me - which they did. My opinion is that the operator was very polite and professional. I received the 1st message at 9:44 a.m.; but since it indicated the person calling was in Des Plaines, the Budget Blinds protocol is to forward the message to the person that owns that territory, which I did. After that it is out of my control. I received a 2nd message at 2:15 p.m. and also forwarded that message. The Des Plaines franchise owner later notified me that she had been in a seminar, and on appointments with other customers that had booked their appointments several days prior. She called this woman back as soon as she returned to the office at 4:00 p.m. - the same days as all of the phone calls. She said the woman told her she had called 4 times, refused to talk to her, and hung up on her. The expectations of this customer was that we would come out that same day, which is rarely the case as we are often booked several days in advance. I work very hard to take good care of my customers. I hope Angie's List customers will make their decision to purchase based on all the other positive reviews I have from people that have bought from me, and not penalize me based on a negative review from someone in an area I cannot service."
