They showed up in the specified time frame. The job was performed to expectations. They explained everything, and explained how routine maintenance would work. The price was exactly as estimated.

The owner was great to deal with. He was very responsive to my questions. The installer was prompt, worked quickly and did a great job of keeping things clean.

Team came right on time. The job was done quickly and correctly. The service personnel were very polite, personable, and professional. Within 1 hour, a recycler came by as promised and took the old water heater away for free.

Great service. We had another company come to inspect the furnace. They stated we needed almost $800 in repairs. Since this did not seem right to me. I decided to call and get another estimate. I called Mike and explained what I was told by the other company and he said that did not make sense. He said that if we did need those repairs they would charge half of what I was quoted. I asked if they could come out and he said they did not have anyone available. However he could have his brother Steve one of the owners come out and see if we could benefit from a new system At the same time he could see if we really needed repairs. He did give us a quote for a new furnace , a/c ans home zoning. This was $4000 less than the other company wanted. Also we did not have to pay it all at once. We were allowed to make payments with no interest.

Home Comfort Systems replaced my old air conditioner with a new American Standard air conditioner. The day it was going to be installed, one of the owners, Steve, stopped by to look at the old air conditioner, and explain what was going to be done. The installers arrived an hour later, explained to me exactly what they were going to do, and all the specs of the new air conditioner. Roughly 2 hours later, they were finished. They explained the warranty, and cleaned up. The only evidence that they were there was the new air conditioner, no debris left behind. They were very professional, and I would gladly use them again!

Called Monday am. Said they would try to fit me in. Called about 3 hrs later, I was next on the list. Diagnosed new blower, had one in the truck, replaced, labor $75, part $325. Total time under 1 hour. New part was loud and disturbing me plus water was leaking from the humidifier. Out within 2 hrs-they do appointments geographically which is more efficient. PVC drainage pipe was accidently knocked off, fixed plus inspected filter which I didn't know needs to be changed every year. Diagnosed noise as the new unit breaking in, got it quiet enough for comfort. DEFINITELY would hire again and recommend.

Home Comfort Systems was professional, honest and fairly priced. Steve Bilica (owner) came out to give me an estimate on a new furnace. He made me feel comfortable, which is important to me as a single woman. His estimate was the lowest of three I obtained ($4150) and he was so honest, he advised that my current unit didn’t need replacing yet. (The only reason I was getting estimates was because some other cut-throat company told me I needed a new one...for $11k!!...due to a cracked heat exchanger. However, all the other companies I contacted for estimates said I did NOT have a cracked heat exchanger.) I decided not to get a new furnace in the end. It’s been running great, although I did need a new blower motor about five months after the estimate, so Jeff D installed it for me ($385). Way cheaper than a whole new unit, so I’m happy. I’ll definitely go with this company again for repairs and when it’s time for a new furnace.

My son and his wife who have three boys (one sick with the flu as the time) called me on a very cold February morning with his family homeless and a very cold house. After dealing with Home Comfort Systems, this is what he wrote and asked me to post: : While it was still very cold out,we smelled gas in our house. Nicor had us all evacuate. The next day, my parents recommended I call Home Comfort Systems the company which installed their new furnace a few years ago. Steve Bilica, one of the owners came out to my house before 10AM to provide me with a quote. The price was fair, I could tell he was honest and although he could've ripped me off easily as I was in desperate need. He offered fair payment options that worked with my tight budget. He contacted his supplier who delivered the new furnace before noon. A team of two brothers arrived by 1PM and began installation. They were extremely polite, considerate of my house, clean, efficient and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. By 4PM it was done and I had heat again. They even went the extra mile with some requests we had including removing an old, useless house-humidifier that was taking up space. Nothing extra for that. I was so relieved and glad that we could get back to normal and grateful to Steve and his company for their help.

Mike is such a great guy. He first discussed over the phone what the problem is to figure out what needs to be done. Jeff came out in the morning today and replaced the igniter switch in 15 minutes. Very knowledgeable and courteous. This company is honest and takes pride in their work and handles their customers with great respect.

The first crew grabbed a board out of their truck and installed it. They had left with out testing it. Later that night our furnace still didn't work. So Steve came out himself and identified they had installed the wrong board. He had to special order our board and didn't charge anything in addition to the first visit. He said these guys should have known better, but did state to us the boards were almost identical except for the amps. Ours needed slightly higher amps. Steve was great and kept apologizing for the mix up. Honest mistake by his guys. You can't beat the customer service this company gives. You can tell they are passionate about their job and take pride in it. Would definitely hire them again.

Steve was awesome. Professional, knowledgeable and timely. His cost was fair and I would recommend highly. I spoke with 3 other Heating/AC providers, including some of the "big names" in Chicagoland and between Steve himself and the American Standard name, I was sold and love our new unit.

Home comfort systems is always professional and on-time. We use them every year to check and clean our furnace. Their pricing for the service is always the lowest since they give Angie's List members a coupon discount. The service techs are courteous and very knowledgeable. Also, they don't try to sell me a furnace or other parts to make more business. When I need a furnace, I will give them a call.

It works exactly as Steve said it would! We had a little trouble with the airflow being too strong and noisy, but they came out the very next morning and fixed it. We are delighted that we can set each zone at the temperature we want, and it stays there. The upstairs is just as cool as the first floor - and even cooler if we want it that way. I enthusiastically recommend the system and the company.

2 people came to complete the project. It took probably 6 hours to complete. They left the inside clean, outside was not left clean.

I got 4 separate quotes and Home Comfort Systems was below all of them. Steve recommended that we go with a smaller sized air conditioner unit. I was skeptical, but it was the correct decision. Our home is much more comfortable due to the lower humidity levels. The installation crew was courteous and showed up right on time. After the install was completed we noticed some noise coming from the condensation line. I called Steve and the next day his service crew arrived to add a small vent to the line and problem was solved. I was impressed how quickly they responded to my concerns. I would recommend them to anyone considering replacing or repairing an air conditioner unit or furnace. Great pricing, responsive, and excellent service.
