Residential Electric Heating Cooling & Insulation

There were several projects we were considering, so Tammy came out to the house to take a look and give us an estimate. Tammy was very professional and made suggestions as she went through the house. As promised, she sent us an estimate about a week after her visit.  We had just moved into the house and weren't able to get back around to deciding on what we wanted done until about a month later. I sent an email, letting the office know what we'd like to do.  They informed me that since the estimate was over a month old, Tammy would have to come back out to the house, reinspect, and give us a new estimate.  After she came back, the estimate went up 20% (from $125-145 per room to $145-175)!  I understand that material/labor costs increase, but 20% seemed a bit excessive within just a few weeks. I just wanted to get the project done, so I sent an email agreeing to the estimate.  The office emailed me back, letting me know they were running a few weeks out and promised to email me the next day.  I didn't hear anything for a week, so I followed up.  They asked if the following week would work and promised to be there at 8am.  They called back a few days later, asking if they could come around noon instead. I shifted my schedule around to make it work.  The day they were supposed to come, I got a call saying they'd be a couple hours late.  The techs that arrived were very nice and professional. However, they finished 2 of the 3 rooms, and told me they had to quit for the day (at 3:45pm) and someone would call to see when they could come back to finish the job. The office called and said they could come out 2 days later. Tammy called to apologize saying they had gotten caught up on another job that morning.  However, I now had to take another day off work! The techs arrived when they said they would and installed the last fan. They handed me the invoice, which was made out for the full amount of work if we would have had everything done we originally discussed (more than just the 3 rooms).  The techs agreed to call the office and get it straight. The new bill was for the absolute maximum within the ranges given to me. While Tammy and the techs were nice and professional, their office staff seems disorganized and not very professional.

It went very well. They were great. Responsiveness and quality were very good.

The owner, Tammy Oliviero, came to our home, provided possible solutions and provided a cost estimate for the choosen option.  The technician who did the work was a friendly professional who explained what he did and cleaned up after he was finished.  I certainly will use this company again.

Residential Electric was very easy to work with. They were competent, efficient and we will use them again for another project we are planning.  

I installed a roof mounted antenna and ran the coaxial cable and ground wire to the side of my house where services enter.  When I ran into more difficulty than I anticipated for pulling a new cable through my living room wall into the basement, I decided to call in some professionals for this portion of an otherwise DIY project.  Since I was calling someone in anyway, I also asked for the portion of cable running from outside the house and into the basement to be pulled.
When I contacted Residential Electrical, Inc., the person taking the call was both polite and up front about availability.  We scheduled a time and date for the service.  Prior to the service date, the owner came out to look over the job to ensure her team came prepared to complete the job.  Both visits were scheduled with my wife.  We got an advance call when a minor delay caused a visit to begin only a few minutes late.
We received the service I needed and are very happy with the results.  I was pleased to find a contractor who would take on a small job like this one with this level of professionalism.

We were selling one house and buying another within a few miles of each other. They installed a double-tap in the old house and saved us a lot of money on repairs that they buyer of the old house wanted. There was a miscommunication at the closing, and we needed to get a GFCI put in ASAP. They were able to get it done the next morning. In our new house, they installed a new light fixture and did some other wiring.

It took about an hour to diagnose the problem and provide a remedy. We have had no trouble with circuits breaking since.

The estimate took a little longer than promised but Tammy and the folks at Residential are professional and accomodating, especially so since the room they were working in isn't used much for other than storage and therefore was cluttered.  They delivered services working around my schedule, set up estimates for future work in a clear understandable manner without any over-charging that I can identify. She also professionally installed an external 220v outlet a few years ago and I would definitely recommend her for this type of work.

We were very pleased with the service provided by Residential Electric.  From the initial phone call, Tammy and her staff were responsive, straightforward about costs and their availability, prompt in returning phone calls and emails, and in general, a pleasure to work with.  Tammy came to the house to do a walk-through and we had a great conversation about the house and the work needed.  Both electricians who worked in the house were fantastic, asking for feedback to make sure the jobs were done right, and they were very respectful of our home, cleaning up the dust and taking the old fixtures away for us.  We would definitely hire them again if we needed more work done on our home.  We would absolutely recommend them to anyone else needing electrical work in their home or business.

The owner, Tammy, came out to give us an estimate.  I had already purchased the 5 lights I wanted and they made installing these new lights work.  She was really thorough in letting us know we needed.  They completed the work very quickly, in about 2 hours.  We would definitely use them again and I would recommend their services. We also received an Angie's List discount.

I was called prior to their designated appointment time to ensure I was home and it was okay to come over.  Two men arrived and started to work immediately, they were polite and professional.  The job was complete in about 40 minutes.  They did a good job: I would recommend them and I would hire them again.

It was a very good experience

Tammy was first recommended to us by a contractor/carpenter, and we have continued to call on her and her company ever since. Tammy is friendly, professional and prices her work reasonably, always giving us good advice about what needs to be done. She follows up with any needed fixes promptly. Our house is electrically "unpredictable", seeing as it's over 110 years old, but Tammy understands the needs of older homes and also understands that we can't afford to fix everything at once. I highly recommend her company and have referred several people to her over the years.

We were preparing our house for sale and wanted to get it on the market ASAP.

the same day!  Mary, the Business Manager, was particularly friendly and helpful.
Two electricians were courteous and efficient.  They completed all the work in 3 1/2 hours.  Appreciated the owner stopping by and checking on the progress of the work.

good response time, followed instructions great

Our hot tub had one of two pumps not working and suddenly lost power.  I found Residential Electric Heating and Cooling on Angie's List and called to make an appointment.  Tammy came out that afternoon.  She was able to fix the electrical problem immediately and explained what was needed to repair the pump and said she would get back to us on a cost estimate for that repair.  My husband said after Tammy was done with the electrical repair he thanked her and said he would bring the water level back up and she didn't need to wait.  She said she would wait to make sure everything worked ok before leaving.  That was impressive.  All was good and she said she would contact us with details on the pump repair.  She did so within a very short period of time and was honest about the cost/benefit analysis.  We've opted to not repair the one pump at this time since the other pump and everything else is operational.  We will call this company again.  We have a few other electrical repairs needed out on the deck but will wait for Spring.
