Rafal came to my house 2 different times to give me a quote (the first time it was raining so he had to come back and give me a firm quote - the 2nd quote was actually a few hundred dollars less than his original quote). After seeing that he had great Angie's list ratings and a perfect score on BBB, I knew he was my choice. After signing the work order, he was great about communicating with me about the city permit as well as when he could get in around the rain. He called on Sat and said his guys would be here Monday morning. Monday morning they arrived and got right to work. They put down tarp around the house to help collect debris and nails (I have 3 young kids and a dog so I was glad to see this done). After day 1 they cleaned up their entire mess and were very polite about everything. Day 2 they showed up and finished my roof (over 3500 sq ft). They spent a good hour walking around to clean up as well as using the rolling magnet to get any small nails. A few days later Rafal came by and reran the rolling magnet to make sure all the nails were picked up. He went over the roof with me and made sure I didn't have any further questions. From beginning to end, Rafal was a top notch guy and went out of his way to make sure I was extremely happy with his work. I would recommend his company to anyone who wants a small company feel, a good price and an honest person to work with. His guys did a great job and I was extremely happy with the whole process.

He did a nice job on our garage. On the roof, the chimneys had not been done right. I had been told that the tuck-pointing around the chimney was not right. They took care of that.

Excellent and professional service. The day I called for a quote Rafael came to the house same day to deliver a quote. The roof was replaced 2 weeks later as discussed. The project was completed in one day as promised. The workers finished the job as the sun was going down. I was concerned that the yard was not going to be cleaned properly due to lack of light (I did not say this to anyone). The next day Rafael called and stated he was sending someone over to make sure everything was cleaned properly. They did an excellent job on our roof and all workers were very professional. I would definitely recommend this company and utilize their services for any of my future needs.

We contacted RK Roofing because of their ratings and because of the Big Deal thay were offering. Rafael came out promptly to provide an estimate. His was the best of 3 estimates we obtained. Everything was presented very simply and straightforward. He explained our options and the cost of each. We did not get the Big Deal price because our roof was a little larger than standard. When we told Rafael that we were having some insulation work done he made sure that we understood the importance of ventillation in the attic and that the insulation should not be very thick in areas where it might restrict air flow. . When he was doing the job. his crew removed and replaced some plywood in order to check the soffit vents and discovered that there were no holes in the soffit where the vents were located, so they drllled new holes to make sure there was good ventillation. They completed the entire job in three days and cleaned up at the end of every day and at the end of the job. We were very impressed with their clean up and the new roof looks beautiful. We highly recommend this company..

We used Angie's List to find a reasonably priced, highly recommended roofing service to replace the existing roof on our home. The Spring weather was rainy and damp, unpredictable Spring weather in Chicagoland. R K Roofing responded promptly to our service request and kept in contact with us during the extreme weather to ensure us as soon as the clouds parted, our roof would be number one priority. And sure enough the rain stopped, the roofing materials were dropped off at our house and a day later the work began. It took R K Roofing only two full days to complete the entire job. The clean up was notable, there was no debris left behind, no shingles or wood left in the grass. R K Roofing was efficient and respectful, they were incredibly easy to work with and we would highly recommend their services all round. Since the completion of our roof we have recommended the R K Roofing services to a neighbor who is currently having her roof replaced and is very pleased with the service as well.

Rafal was very patient with me. I asked him a lot of stupid questions and he gave a lot of good answers; He worked with me on the schedule and agreed to get our local permit; A crew came and worked on the roof over two days, each day taking away the debris in a large truck, which was nice because we didn't want to have a large dumpster installed in our driveway. We had a lot of waterdamaged pieces of wood and they took pictures of each one and showed it to us at the end of the day. In total, I had ten boards replaced. My original roof was about 45 years old and my second roof was about 20 years old. They were all very professional and reliable. His prices were very reasonable and the rates for the replacement boards were fair. The color selection for the shingles were not extensive, but sufficient. While he left samples, we liked the fact that we could go to Lowes to see the same shingles, but with their larger samples.

The service of R K Roofing is one of my best experiences with Angie's List. Rafael and his team have done a job beyond my expectation. The price is unbeatable. The work is excellent. The team is friendly. The communication is timely. Rafael cares, and his guys are neat.

We purchased the Garage Roof Replacement package from RK Roofing and couldn't be happier with the results. Rafael responding to our purchase within a day, by evaluating the job and leaving a sample board for us. We conveyed our choice to him and almost immediately the rains came! Days and days of rain. But Rafael stayed in touch and let us know when they would try to get to our job, since their work schedule had been unpredictable for 2 weeks. Once the weather cooperated our job was scheduled and completed. Everything was handled with skill and professionalism. Cleanup was excellent and care for our plantings was given as we had requested. The installers were very friendly and even did an extra roof related task for us without hesitation. Best contractor related experience we've had in a very long time. We will definitely call RK Roofing when we are ready to re-roof the house. Highly recommended.

I received 4 estimates from roofing companies and R K roofing was the most reasonable. I normally would have rejected the most economical estimate except that R K is a A rated company on both Angies List and the BBB with a proven track record. The one thing that stood out about their reports was that their customers felt that R K really cared about the work they did. Rafael made sure that I knew that I could file a claim with Certainteed since my existing shingles were organic and defective. He also warned me about an attractive chimney housing I ordered off the internet. When I received the housing, it did look great but was of poor quality. Rafael could have just installed the housing and charged me more since the housing was missing the flashing and hardware necessary to install it. Instead, he personally traveled back to his distributor (30 miles away in Chicago) to pick up a quality replacement. on the day of the install. While they were putting up the roof, they noticed that one of the exhaust pipes were disconnected in the attic. While I had some of the other roofers explain to me that any attic work would be extra, R K did not hesitate to climb in to the attic and fix the problem. The company was prompt and courteous. My overall impression is that did an excellent job but more importantly really cared about the quality of their work. The roof looks great and we are very happy.

the day RK roofing came out it was a mild day but before they finished it started raining. They were almost finished and kept working until they were done. The job was done well.

Placed a phone call which went into a voicemail that was full. Sent a text message requesting contact. No response whatsoever. Hard to believe this business gets these good ratings on Angie;s List when they dont even respond to potential customers.

After the inspection Raphael informed us that the roof was in very good shape, and offered to reimburse us the cost of the coupon purchased from Angie's List. I asked him to reglue shingles around pipes and skylights as a preventative measure. I recommend this company without hesitation.

Rafal is a great guy to work with. Knowledgeable, friendly and his crew did a phenomenal job. It was done with minimal disruption to us. Would be happy to recommend this company to anyone.

The owner Rafal was very professional. He gave me a quote on Saturday and the work was done on Monday. The garage was a little bit bigger than a normal 2 1/2 and required 2 sheets of plywood. The clean up was excellent, you could not tell that there was work done on the garage. I would highly recommend Rafal and his crew

The project went smoothly. It was the end of November and I wanted to get the roof done before winter. Rafal moved some of his crew around and they were able to start right away. The crew worked very hard while the owner was away. It was obvious that they take great pride in their work. It was easy to communicate with the crew. They worked well into darkness on Saturday night trying to finish the garage. They could have slapped up the trim and finished, but decided to return Monday to finish the job. I am very picky and had some concerns about some of the old garage fascia and trim. However, when I got home from work on Monday, everything was perfect. They had obviously notice the same thing and fixed it. The charge for the extra work was reasonable. They did a very good job of protecting plants and cleaning up afterwards. They did quality work for a reasonable price.

I had a roof leak and because of age and condition we decided to replace the entire roof. I contacted R K Roofing and spoke with Raphael. We live a distance from his office and spoke a lot over the phone. Every phone call or email was answered promptly and questions answered. He traveled the distance and gave me a estimate. The day the work was done the crew arrived on time as he stated. I watched as they did a very professional job and clean up. They went the extra mile to make sure everything was done correctly. They seemed to care about the outcome and their workmanship which is hard to find these days.

We bought the Angie's Big Deal for R K Roofing that was $1499.00 to re-shingle our 2.5 car detached garage. I contacted Raphael right after we bought the deal to schedule the appointment and he was very responsive. He ended up dropping off samples a few days later so we could pick the color of the shingles. We chose the color of shingles and scheduled a day for them to come do the work. We weren't home the day of the project, but when we got home, the garage looked great and you couldn't even tell they had been there. We are very pleased with their work and highly recommend them. Raphael was great to work with and very responsive.

We initially played phone tag for a few days due partly to my work schedule and Rafal's eye surgery. Once we were able to get a hold of each other, he was able to come out to my place and perform an inspection and give me an estimate and sample shingles. Once I accepted the proposal we settled on performing the work on 10/12/12. On 10/10/12 I was told they would be able to make it a day early to complete the job. They arrived early as I was leaving for work and when I returned home that evening all of the work had been done. There was no sign they were even there except for the new roof! My yard and driveway were clean and no debris was left anywhere outside. I am very pleased with the job that was done, especially since there were heavy rains that following weekend. I would definitely use their services again, but there shouldn't be a need for quite a while. I will gladly pass their name along to anyone who is looking to get their roof done.

I was looking for two garage roofs to be replaced at mya apartment building. I saw RK Roofing garage roofing specials on Angie's List. I looked up the RK Roofing ratings and they were all A. I left a message and the owner Rafael called me back the same day. He said he would drive by the property and would give me an estimate. He called the following day with an estimate which was consistent with the special. We met in person, he showed me sample shingle colors and I signed the contract. We worked out a day that wouldn't interfere with my tenants and RK Roofing completed both roofs in one day. There were no issues brought up by my tenants. I met Rafael afterwards to view the work and it was completed professionally. I would definitely hire RK Roofing / Rafael again, and would use him on my other properties. He was professional, and the work was complete. He followed up on all his all of his commitments. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

Could have surveyed the work site and given me an answer sooner. I bought the deal on Sept 5th and cancelled it on Sept 15th since the company could still not give me a firm answer.

Rafal (the owner) was very professional from beginning to end. He answered my calls at any time of the day. He was always there at the time he promised. The workers did an excellent job. They cleaned up all the trash. Rafal was very considerate of my time. The work was completed in two days. My neighbor complimented Rafal on how his workers covered her plants and cleaned up. I have already recommended him to one of my friends.

Rafael arrived on time, answered all my questions, and did the complete job in one day.After the job was completed he had us come outside to see how we liked the job. We saw a few things that we would like fixed, he was more than happy to do it. The workmen cleaned up afterwards, and you would not know we had anything done!
