We like them, I'm was pleased with the service, they just appeared to me to be more professional, they take a lot more time with servicing than the previous people I had with the service, they just seem to take more time and when I was talking to the gentleman about the possible need of replacing the unit and he was also talking to me about how it had been over charged with coolant, what to do about that, alternatives, I just had the over all feeling that he was confident.

Response from Comfort Care Services Inc.

"I think he got companies mixed up. We came out and checked his air conditioner. We are an HVAC company, not pest control"

The technician had me go outside to the cooling unit so that he could show me the condition of the electrical contacts.  I am an engineer with knowledge of electricity, and after looking at the contacts agreed that they should be changed.  The work was done well, and I would totally recommend ComfortCare to anyone looking for a good heating and A/C service company in Fox Valley area.  I have used them for a number of years, and have always found them to be a great vendor.

Brian and Mike are incredible, and are certainly among the best in the business.  They are punctual, fair, friendly, and honest (a rare quality in so many service industries) and it was a pleasure having them work in my home.  I called five companies for quotes, and only three called me back (one called a week later!) but every time I called Comfort Care they answered and addressed my questions thoroughly.  They gave me quotes on two units, but after some research and conversations I determined that the 113 was the best for my home.  My old unit was only 14 years old, but failed (it was a Rheem, by the way) last year and again completely this year.  The price for the work was VERY good, almost $800 less than the next-lowest quote, and that was for a Lennox of comparable quality.  Plus, Bryants got higher ratings on Consumer Reports than Lennoxes when I looked into the matter (although both were very good).  They were very neat in their work, also, and were friendly with my family.  They showed me the old coil, which was much too small for the home (16" compared with the 24" one they installed).  Their work near the furnace was done very neatly.  Do yourself a favor and go with this company - you won't be sorry.

We use Comfort Care for all our annual furnace and AC maintenance. With a relatively new home (less then 10 years old) we were concerned when our furnace was not heating properly and the thermostat temperature kept dropping. As always, Neil was very professional, courteous, and took the time to explain in great detail what the problem and solution were to the issue at hand.  He was able to figure out why the furnace tripped its safety and was promptly able to identify the cause and solution. He even explained how to reset it if it happens again to save us the service call. I highly recommend Comfort Care and think Neil is an great service technician.

Neil was out here within about 2 hours of calling...even though it had been so cold recently that all HVAC companies had been very busy.  Found the problem quickly and resolved it.
Price was very reasonable.  Neil did a great job of explaining the situation.
Highly Recommended.

Office staff was very friendly and helpful answering my questions regarding services and pricing.  Scheduling was easy.  Technician arrived at the very end of the two hour window, but called 20 minutes prior to let me know he was on his way, which I appreciated.  Neil, the technician was friendly, polite, and answered all of my questions in detail.  I am the type of homeowner who likes to know exactly what is being done when I hire someone to do work at my home.  My furnace and AC were installed almost 3 years ago, and this was the first time it's been serviced.  Neil explained everything he would be doing, and told me about  the different things that can go wrong with newer high efficiency units, and what to look for if problems occur.  I especially appreciated that, as it could save an unneeded service call in the future.

I purchased my furnace and AC from the previous owner of this company, and was not particular happy with their service, but I was very pleased with the service under the new ownership.  I will call them again in the future.

Brian and his team were the best group of professionals we've ever done business with regarding HVAC.  I've used Angies List vendors before for servicing our AC in past years, but Comfort Care was in my opinion, and based on my experiences, far better than the others.  They show up when they say they will.  They're polite. They're fair. They work clean, and they perform the work exactly as they promise.  I would use these guys any time for any HVAC need, and have told all my friends, and will continue to sing their praises. If you need great, reliable, HVAC professionals, look no further.

I have a unique heating /cooling system that is a combined one piece outdoor unit usually found on business building rooftops. It had to be replaced due to age. Brian spent an hour with me discussing all options, including more cutomary indoor furnace units. It was decided that to use any other option but replacing the existing unit would be too expensive, since we would have to re-duct the entire house and we would have trouble venting an indoor unit within code specs. Brian quoted a price installed that was almost the same price I found everywhere on the internet for the unit alone. Installation day Brian came with 3 other men and spent the entire day installing this new monster (it almost has the same footprint as a VW Beetle) and custom building all new duct tunnels from the unit to the house and running all new electric and gas supply lines from the unit to the house. I had installed a pvc drain line from the old unit condesate drain pan to a dry well in my yard and they even replaced this for me. Considering what I got, the price was very reasonable. I have used this company for several years for routine service and new installations and have always been more than satisfied with the quality and value of their work.

Noticed on Wed. night that my furnace stopped working.  Checked Angie's List & found that this co. was highly rated.  Called them on Thurs. morning for a service apptmt.  The receptionist was very nice & stated they could have someone come out that afternoon.  Due to a very important prior commitment, I was unable to have them come that day.  We then made the apptmt for Fri. morning betw 9-11.  The technician, Neil, showed up within that time period & was friendly & very polite.  He thoroughly checked out the furnace & found that the igniter had a crack in it & some other part had broken.  He showed me both parts & explained their functions & pointed out where both parts broke.  He had to go out twice to his truck to see if he had the parts & about how long it would take for him to find them.  Luckily, they were there.  He was upfront about the cost of the parts & efficiently proceeded to install them.  I then told him I had trouble getting the disposable filters in & out of the air duct as they were getting caught on some screws from the outer metal sheet work.  He then removed them & assured me that it was safe to do so  & explained why.  No charge for this extra service.
From beginning to end, Neil was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, & explained everything to me.  I will definitely call this co. again for any future furnace needs.

I reached out to Comfort Care when it was clear that our furnace was facing its final year. Brian Rudderham, the President of Comfort Care, returned my call the same day that I left the message to call me. We made an appointment to discuss my furnace needs and he appeared at the appointed time. He outlined what he thought I needed, left me some materials and sent me a detailed bid later that day. I had already spoken with two other companies, but neither of them were as complete in their descriptions of just what would be done to give me the best outcome. I gave Brian the go-ahead. We set up an installation date, where I would be home for the day. On that date - and on time - Brian and a co-worker showed up and began installation. When they were done, the area was completely cleaned up, the furnace was working and the house was warm. Brian noted that there was a small crack in a part of the furnace that he had discovered during installation. He said that it was not something that would have showed up easily during the required inspection that would follow the installation, but that he was not happy with installing a brand new furnace with a broken part. He said he would order the part and then come back and repair it. He did just that, within a week after ordering the part. I am completely satisfied with the result, and would unhesitatingly recommend Comfort Care. We will also be using them as the regular servicers for both furnace and air conditioning.

Had a problem with gas furnace in mid-December (blower motor repeatedly stalled and was not working properly).  Called up Comfort Care - they responded immediately and professionally on the phone.  A serviceman quickly arrived (within 2-3 hours) within the time window promised.  The serviceman was very personable, professional and quickly diagnosed/repaired the problem.  No 2nd trip was required.  He patiently and fully answered any questions that I had.  Have had no problem with furnace since repair was made.  The price of the repair was reasonable and I was able to use 10% off coupon for service that was posted on Angies List web-site.  Overall - it was a very positive experience and I would use Comfort Care again in the future.  I would also recommend them to friends/family/neighbors.  THANK YOU Angies List !

Excellent.   Comfort Care's estimate for replacing our whole house humidifier was more reasonable than the other estimate we got, although the one other estimate seemed high.   We had Comfort Care do other inspection/maintenance work once before and thought they were a good company.    Brian answered a lot of our initial questions about options and cost, but also came out to inspect the humidifier and hot water heater.     We decided to replace both.
When the two Comfort Care technicians came a few days later, they were friendly, answered questions, reviewed what they found with the old water tank and humidifier, and explained how to use the new tank and humidifier.    Hauling the old tank out took time because it was full of sediment and they had to carry a 40 gallon tank up the basement stairs.

Would recommend and hire this company again.

We found the company responsible. They completed the work on time and within estimate. We asked for a permit before the work began and the city inspector determined after inspection that the work was completed correctly.
