I called them when my furnace kept turning off just before the fan turned on. The temperature in the house was dropping. The lady that answered the phone was very courteous and helpful. The service technician called a couple of hours later with a 30 minute lead time. He arrived right on time and immediately located the problem. It was a dirty flame sensor. He removed it, cleaned it, and put it back. There was no charge for parts or materials - just the service call. He showed me what he was doing and explained a great deal about what was wrong. I plan on using this company for future maintenance on H/A.

1The problem occurred on a Sunday and we understood that a plumbing repair might be expensive. Virginia of Perfect Home Services quoted $29.00 on the phone, just for the plumber to come into our house. The plumber arrived, checked the on-off handle in the master bathroom shower and told us the handle needed to be replaced. He could not unscrew it so he had to break it off. He went to the local Ace Hardware to get the parts. He returned with a new handle (same brand) and a new cartridge. He installed the parts. The water was turned back on and everything was in working order. The repair was done correctly. What infuriated both of us is that when my husband asked him the amount due, he said it was $320 for everything. So, $29 + parts that couldn't have cost more than $30.00 plus labor,cost us $320. But......it could be less if we signed up for their monthly maintenance plan at a cost of $10 a month to be paid with our credit card. Then the repair would only be $200. We declined, so we paid the $320. We will not call this company in the future for any household repairs.

Was very pleased with service. Jason explained condo units more compact than residential. But he took his time and was able to do a through check-up and cleaning.

After over 20 years in our house, the first problems with waste water drainage to the city sewer came on, naturally, this year's Christmas Eve. I looked up references on Angie's list and picked Perfect Home Services. After discussing the situation with the very helpful contact at the company we decided we could wait until the day after Christmas for the service call - it was only with the rapid flow of the volume of water coming from the clothes washer that there was a problem. This would also allow me to take advantage of their $79 special for this service which included a video peek at the condition of the sewer line. The day after Christmas Mark arrived at 08:00 exactly and went to work. He was punctual, careful and competent answering my questions with one exception. I was and still am concerned that the head on the rooter he was using was maybe 1.0 - 1.5 inches in diameter. In the six-inch pipe, this meant he might poke a small hole in an obstruction across the full diameter of the pipe that would simply fill up again (toilet paper ....) requiring them to come out again in the near future. I asked for a larger head to be used but Mark said this was what he had and that the flexible coil supporting the head would lash around making a larger hole. I was/am skeptical. He did resolve the drain water problem and the technician, Joe, who arrived some time afterwards was able to give me a good televised view of the condition of the pipe. Using a camera roughly the size of the head of the rooter used earlier by Mark, he made it through opened root tangles until he reached an obstruction he could not get through. If he could not get through it with the camera, I question whether Mark had made it that far (66 feet) in his clearing operation. There was plenty of suggestions from both Mark and Joe to get a new lining for the pipe at roughly $150/foot (x 75 ft !). Fine, in addition to clearing obstructions, their job is to secure future work for the company. However, when next I need their services - and I will not hesitate to use Perfect again, I will ask for a more thorough cleaning of the pipe using a more reasonable rooter head.

Purchased a "big deal" for water heater service & check. Initial phone correspondence was very friendly and accommodating. When the technician arrived, he showed his ID and put on shoe covers before entering my home. Very nice. However, it seemed that he did not know why he was there. He asked if I had been having problems, and I told him of some erratic service from my water heater. He shined a flashlight into the box and turned on the hot water in the bathroom. That was the extent of what he "did." I thought there was to be a cleaning and checking of all connections as listed in the "big deal," but none of those things occurred. The technician warned me about the popcorn noise my water heater was making, stated that he didn't know if it were possible to replace any parts. He didn't offer any possibilities as to tuning up my water heater, and I felt that he just left the ball in my court. So I asked what a new water heater would run, and he quoted a new water heater. Then he asked for my payment of $49.00. I told him I had already paid online, which he didn't seem to know anything about. He was very nice, but in the end, I paid 49.00 for a quote when everyone else gives them for free. I felt "on the spot" when he was here because I didn't have the writeup of the "deal" in front of me. I expected him to know why he was there since his company had offered the "big deal" in the first place. I'm sure he knows how to install water heaters, but I thought I was paying for an inspection and report. The work order he left me with said, "Quoted new water heater." I'm sure I would have been happy with a new one, had the price not been 4 times what I anticipated. All I got in the end was a quote.

I had asked for a written printout of all the work that was needed and the prices so that I could budget for next year the other jobs that we weren't able to do. The employee said he would ask someone to email it to me and I never got it. We are very pleased with the new water heater and outside faucet work. The bathtub pipes leak after the lines were rodded out, so we cannot use the tub. :-(

The service technician was on time, professional and thorough.

Arrived on time. Office called before and after the service to make sure all went well. Service person was thorough and spent time explaining the process.

"Did NOT perform service as promised, and Billed me for $2,000 MORE than they quoted. Will you please refund the $2,000 they overcharged me?"

The work done was fine, although it was incomplete. It was mainly for my own information. I bought the house a year ago and wanted to know the status on the sewer line, as several neighbors had theirs replaced in the past. However, I am disappointed that the sewer rodding was not done. At the time of service, I had forgotten that sewer rodding was supposed to be included in the Big Deal. I only discovered it after the fact when reviewing my emails. I hired another company to replace the sewer, and so the sewer rodding ended up not being necessary. However, I hope that Perfect Home Services fulfills obligations to future customers.

Read above because I'm not typing this all over again. I may be mistaken about some of the techicle names that they said but overall I wouldn't use them again. I was very impressed with Ben the first and 3rd technician. (same guy) Not imoressed with the white shirt that came the first time. When I called back 1 week later they said he was no longer with the company and he was a manager.

Overall they did the job. With a coupon it reduces the price considerably for the rodding. However it is only one pass. While I very well may need a new pipe eventually. The technician gave me the hard sell for a new "dig free" pipe. I didn't think the price was as outstanding as he believed so I passed.

I purchased an Angie's list big deal for this service. They were easy to schedule, arrived promptly, were personable, presentable, and efficient. They made suggestions for future maintenance to ensure things kept running smoothly (pun intended lol). I later took that advice and him glad I did. All in all I was extremely happy with the deal and their service. The next time I had a service requirement within their realm of expertise, they were the ones I called.

The gentleman from PHS was prompt, professional in his attire and approach. First, he asked me if I had any specific issues that required their attention. I explained that I hadn't had any specific issues but I wanted to have PHS look at the lines and complete any rodding and cleaning necessary to ensure I would not have any problems in the future, i.e. preventative maintenance. PHS explained their process, including using a sewer rodding auger with a camera at the lead to visually see the exact condition of the sewer line and junctions. He showed me that there were no blockages and no build-up, which put my mind at ease as our home is now 19 years old. Since there was no rodding necessary, the gentleman was kind enough to leave a small cannister of Bio Clean, a bacterial waste eliminator that I've since periodically introduced into my kitchen sink, tub, shower and sewer lines in the basement. PHS was prompt, professional in their approach, took measures to ensure cleanliness. I highly recommend them.

I had previously used Perfect Home Services after purchasing and Angie's big deal for their service in cleaning out my sewer line. I was very happy with that deal and their service, so naturally turned to them when my water heater bit the dust. They were easy to schedule, arrived promptly, quickly confirmed my fear that replacement was the best option and proceeded to provide me with quotes on various replacement options. Although I wanted to go with a tankless option, I co-own the building and my partner wasn't able to spare the additional cost. Therefore since cost was a concern, I went with the cheapest option available and a 40 gallon model. When he quoted me the price, I was shocked at how much it was. It wasn't that long ago that we had replaced the water heater for the other unit with a 50 gallon model, and it seemed like a price was quite a bit lower than that amount. Nonetheless, as I trusted them, and wasn't positive that I remembered correctly what the previous replacement cost, or how much prices may have increased during the interim, I signed off on the price. They left to go pick up the water heater and I went to check my records to see if my memory was correct. The previous larger (50 vs. 40 gallon) water heater had cost $455 less. Thinking that perhaps prices simply had risen a great deal, I called the company that we used previously and was quoted a price nearly $400 cheaper. At that point, I called back the gentleman I was working with at Perfect Home Services and explained my concerns. He pointed out to me that they always used plumbers to install their water heaters where as often other companies did not use licensed plumbers. Frankly, I have no idea if it was a licensed plumber for sure on our previous installation but given it was a plumbing company I suspect so. Given I had already signed on the dotted line, and frankly wasn't assertive enough to push the matter, or try to get out of the deal and use the other company (which we had been totally happy with) I proceeded with the transaction and paid their quoted price. Recently, as a final nail in the coffin, I received an email from them offering the 40 gallon water heater installed for over $400 less than I paid. Yes I understand it was special promotion, but it would seem I really can only afford their prices when there is a discount available. Sincerely I do think highly of this company, everyone was charming, they did a great job and I would gladly use their services again, but only if it is at a promotional price which I can afford. I have learned to do my competitive research prior to signing on the dotted line.

Everything was "perfect". Fully inspected and technician explained everything about my unit.

Great service. He is now my regular plumber.

Steve and Jason came out to do the work. They put a camera down the main sewer line and showed me the cracks and problems. Jason did a good job explaining the situation. He quoted replacing the sewer tile section out to the main line in the street and installing a clean-out in the parkway for $3700. The second phase was to waterjet the entire line for $1100. Then there was another $700 to repair the small sidewalk section that would have to be busted out. After that, the rest of the sewer might need to be relined. They did not performed the sewer rodding because they did not recommend it and I would have to sign a waiver if I insisted on having it done. Jason said it might cause more damage to the fragile tiles. I was disappointed because I had really bought the deal to have the sewer rodded. Even though I agree with his assessment, I find their prices too high and the sales pressure too hard-sell. So the project is on hold while I explore other options.

Process was very professional and I got the exact service/information that I needed about my drain pipe's condition.

They were extremely prompt and they came exactly when they said they would and when somebody couldn't come, he sent a co-worker to go there at the said time so they are really good at keeping appointments and everything like that. They would be the first people I call if I needed this job done again.

It was easy to have the check up scheduled. The technician arrived within the time window we were given. The furnace was checked and cleaned. A new water pad we had was installed in our humidifier that is attached to the furnace. The furnace is running well.

I discovered that my hot water heater was leaking in the evening and I called Perfect Home Services. A person on the phone took all of my details and within a few minutes a dispatcher, Virginia, called me back to discuss what was happening with the hot water heater so that she could talk with a technician. She was very professional and prompt on returning the phone call with an approximate time that the technician would be arriving. The technician , Kirk, was punctual as to the time that was promised by Virginia. Kirk was very professional and presented me with several options for a replacement. When I asked him questions he was very thorough and helpful with information to help me make a decision on the options. I decided on one of the options and he was able to insstall a new heater right away. He really helped with a wet, messy situation. After the installation, he again was very thorough in explaning what he had done and how the unit worked. Kirk is a true professional who does his job well!

they told us of all potential problems that we may have in the future, and did not pressure us in doing any of them at this time.

Joe arrived on time and performed the inspection, explaining along the way what we were seeing. In the end, the sewer line was in excellent condition and obviously needed no cleaning. My only suggestion is that they bring their own drop cloth for completeness of service.
