Perfect Home Services

The team was on time and requested a house walk-through. They saw where the ducts were located and went right to work. They brought in their equipment and four hours later they were done. They sanitized the ducts and we noticed the difference immediately.

Called to make an appointment and was able to get one within a few days. Requested a morning appointment between 9 and 11. Received an "on the way" call at 8 am and the service person arrived at 8:30 am. Went right to work, did the rodding, then described what he did and what he found. Very efficient.

Every 2 years or so, our roots grow into our sewer line and we need to have a plumber clear the line. We had a plumbing company out on 4/26, who was going to charge us $375 but did not have the correct equipment with them. We called Perfect Home Service, who would not give us an idea of their price, but told us they'd have a plumber out on 4/27. Their plumber called us and quoted us a price of $550. We have had this done at least 5 times over the years, and have never been quoted a price close to that. When I asked why I wasn't told of that price when I initially called, he told me they don't quote prices over the phone. I pointed out that at the same time he's quoting me a price over the phone, he's telling me they don't quote prices over the phone. They left us in the position of still not having water while we have young children, and trying to find another plumber on a Saturday afternoon.

Customer service was professional and did their best to accommodate my schedule for the call. Mark was professionAl, on time and knowledgable. He was friendly and didn't mind my questions And looking over his shoulder. He did not push other services. He simply showed us any issues we had and what the solution may be.

Overall, the service man did most of what he came out to do. However, he just seemed a little careless leaving that sandwich bag down int he sewer line. And my husband and I both agree that his overall attitude was just one that didnt' show much concern or appreciation for our concerns. Although he did an ok job, we will more than likely not use this company again.

2 men came to perform the sewer rodding. One to do the work and another to oversee and describe the televised pictures. The rodding barely got started before the tip on rodding equipment broke off do to operator error. They had to call for another truck with new equipment. The serviceman that broke the first rodder then dripped sewer dirt on ever carpeted stair leading to the basement. He used a cleaner and paper towels to clean up mess. Unfortunately, this did not work and the stains are still quite evident. Second crew came and rodded what they could - could not get past a sharp angle in the line. Suggested repairs which I did not opt for.

The gentlemen that came to my home were prompt and very professional. Unfortunately, they were not able to get all the way to the city sewer to determine if I have a blockage in my line. I still have occasional sewer backups. The recommendation that was made was to have a cleanout port installed in my yard that would enable them to get a larger auger in to clean any obstructions they may find. Sounded like a good idea, until I heard the price of over $4,000.

They rescheduled multiple times last minute. When the drain failed to operate properly, they did not seem to care and do not seem to want to stand behind their work. In fact, the person recommended I call another plumber. They also seem unorganized between the cental call station and regional office. I would not use them again unless to fix their original work - which is still in process. The company has still not corrected the problem. They have rescheduled twice with no phone call from them, with me calling because they did not show up. Each time you ask to speak to a manager, they are in a meeting. I received a letter from the owner saying they were sorry for the poor customer service and want to make it up. Clearly, this is not the way to do so. I would not use them, there are much better plumbers in Chicago.

I had been using Perfect Home Services for routine inspections on my AC and furnace for the past couple years. No complaints with those service guys. I had signed up for their "VIP Service" which was for semi-annual inspections and supposedely preferential treatment. However, after having to charge my AC twice in four years, I decided to get a quote on a replacement AC unit since mine is ~18 years old. I was able to seemingly schedule an appointment for 4:30 later in the same day that I called. On my way home to meet the estimator, Bill, he called me and said he received word that I was looking to schedule an appointment to get an estimate. I told him I already had one for 4:30. He said that the office staff is not supposed to schedule his appointments, but rather to let him know so he can schedule the visits himself. This seemed odd to me as I had called 3 other places as well and none of them operated this way, but I did "reschedule" with him for the following Monday at 4:30. Fast forward to the following Monday at 4:30 and surprise...he never shows. Never calls or anything. I called their office and compained about him by name. They offered to schedule a visit from a different estimator, but not worth it to me. There are far more companies out there looking for my business that don't require this much effort from the customer! So much for being "VIP". Based on several years of good service, I was fully expecting to use them to buy and install my new AC unit, but this was unacceptable to me. Disappointed and unimpressed!

After I accepted their big deal, Perfect Home Services responded promptly. I don't recall the exact date of the service, but I didn't have to wait long at all for a response The guy from Perfect Home Services was prompt, probably said hello, I showed him to my laundry room, he spent a few minutes in there flushing out my water heater, when he finished he said he was done and left. I had no paperwork from him indicating that he had done anything, but I guess I didn't need anything. I didn't even ask him how everything looked as he didn't seem like he cared to speak...maybe he didn't speak English. I might use their service again if the timing is right...need their service and there's a big deal available.

It went pretty well. They were very diligent in their efforts to fix the problems they encountered. It took them a little longer than they expected, but they didn't want to leave until the issue had been completely fixed. N/A for quality because it is an underground sewer line and I'm not sure if the problem has been fixed or not yet.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, COMPLETE RIP-OFF AND WOULD NEVER USE AGAIN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!

They did great work on a difficult job, going to lengths to find out how to deal with my confusing sewer drains.

Great deal from the Angie's List email offers...I figured I would jump on it and get peace of mind that my sewer wasn't clogged or full of roots, etc... Tech was late but called and showed up at the later time as expected. Knowledgeable, personable guy and the whole process was quick. Turns out I had almost nothing in my pipes, but I thought it was a great savings for the job.

We ended up getting their services, they credited us the price but we're not doing more work. They had a good price, I have no complaints and I think he was a good guy. He's informative. He presented us with different choices of different toilets, the one we went with which was the shape and type of toilet we were looking for. The space was small, it was a larger toilet but this is the one that worked better. They suggested some fixing but I thing it wouldn't work. The job ended just fine.

The technician arrived on time and then flushed out my water heater in less than 10 minutes. After that I showed him a few valves that were leaking. Then he spent next 20 minutes calculating how much it would cost me to (1) replace my water heater (2) replace one of my main water valves that was difficult to close, (3) replace 3 valves that were dripping or leaking. The estimate was about $1,000 for the valve replacements alone (water heater additional, depending on the type). Then, I was told that if I joined their equivalent of ?frequent user club? which has a membership fee, I would get a certain discount. I said I had to think about it. So, he left. While, he was about to get into his truck, I asked if he could do anything there and then about a leaking winter shut-off valve that controlled water-supply to the back-yard. He came back in and tightened valve and lo and behold the leaking stopped (by the way, this was supposed to be part of the $1,000 job). Bottom-line: I got a sales job at my expense of $79.

This is my first experience with Perfect Home Services. When I called in to schedule my service, I found all their personnel friendly and efficient getting things in motion. When their technician, Paul, arrived he was on time and also concerned about keeping the interior of my home clean, which he did. During the inspection of my furnace, he found several minor problems which he resolved. He explained what he was doing and why. I found the overall experience positive and would recommend Paul and Perfect Home Services.

The service was completed effectively and efficiently. All parties involved from the office team to the service team were very helpful and concerned that the servce was completed and handled professionally. Jason took time to contact us multiple times throughout the process.

The people were great but there was a problem with my sewer pipes needing replacement and they are under my basement. The floor would've needed to be busted up to replace the pipes. It was too expensive of a repair for me. At least I now know what is going on.

I did not receive the service I paid for because the problem was the ejector pump. He did offer to come back if i wanted him to check the drain.

The plumber couldn’t really comment on the price, and told me that he was told by the service manager that he couldn’t adjust prices at all. I’ve been trying to get ahold of the service manager to see why the price was so high and how long it would take to get my money back for a coupon I used. I’m finding them a bit unresponsive so far.
