and had the samples to show. We walked around the house while Mal explained the installation process and pointed out things I was not aware of and made helpful suggestions. I could see that he took pride in his work and wanted the finished product to be satisfying to us both.
After signing the contract, Mal kept me informed on the ordering and delivery of the material, and was always available for my phone calls and questions.When the siding was delivered (right on schedule) Mal came out with his installation crew. He introduced me to each installer and we walked around the house once more to verify exactly was was going to be done.
As for the installation, I can't praise the installation crew enough. They were excellent. They also took pride in their work (and it showed). I've had enough experiences to know that is not the norm. The crew paid close attention to the little details that define the finished product. They were very friendly and polite. They did a professional installation and cleaned up each day. They also took care of some little things that were not part of the contract (such as straightening the front railing that was knocked out of line by the mailman).
I am extremely happy with the finished product and would (and have) highly recommend Professional Home
Improvement to anyone.
As a side note, I have old Chicago brick, that I'm not fond of, on parts of the house. I haven't been able to find anyone that could do something other than just paint over the brick. Mal put me in touch with someone that (for lack of a better word) stains the brick where the result mimics face brick. A small thing, but important to me.

When Professional Home Improvement came to our home, we received treatment above and beyond what was received by the previous (3)siding companies. Mal, the President,politely and in great detail, walked us around our home and explained what Professional Home ?does? and ?does not? do. Instead of putting down other companies, Professional Home Improvement focuses
on their work and they do it the right way. Great care is taken around each window. Great care is taken in ensuring that the soffit/fascia are installed in a way that ensure the house does not incur leakage, air, etc. This great detail highlighted that Professional Home Improvement does things the right way. Even better, Professional Home Improvement was ?in the lower-middle? of the quotes we received. While their price is in ?the middle?, their work is top notch.
After contracting, Professional Home Improvement ensured that materials were ordered right away and also touched base to let us know when the materials were ordered, when they were coming in, and when they would begin work. Once the team came (2 people), great care was taken on our home. Instead of rushing through our siding, Professional Home Improvement treated our home as if it was their own. The President, Mal, also checked in a few times to ensure we were satisfied, highlighted the things that made a difference in their approach, and also identified a few ?new ideas? that would make our home even better . These ideas
were approached, and were not tied to additional cost; what you pay up front is what it costs in the end, there is no bait and switch with Professional Home Improvement.

Mal, the owner, came to our home and talked to us about our project. He showed us the materials his company used and explained why they used these particular products. He was friendly, professional, and answered all our questions. The quality of the work performed was excellent. Mal visited our home to check out the work being performed a number of times. The crew did an exceptional job removing and installing the materials, and cleaned up every day before leaving. I called Mal to get an estimate on residing portions of my house. Mal came out and was very courteous and professional. After thoroughly looking over the house he explained with a coat of paint I had a solid 3 years before I needed to replace it. he was honest and when the time comes to have the work done i plan on calling Mal.

The nasty fall weather delayed the start but Mal kept me informed. When the project did start, they only removed whatever siding they could cover that day. The crew was wonderful and really took pride in their work. My neighbors who were
having work done on their own house were impressed with the hours Mal?s crew spent and how prompt they were each morning.
My house is beautiful now, no more rotting cedar, and I?ve received glowing praise from the neighbors. Hopefully I?ll never need this again but I?d definitely recommend Professional Home Improvement.

What impressed me from the beginning about Mal was his attention to detail. There are no short cuts in the service he provides. Everything is expertly finished, and even hurdles and challenges in the project are completed and resolved to look just as professional as the easy parts.
The crew was polite, friendly and clean. They were also the hardest workers I have seen in a long time (and great examples for my teenage children!) They were at the house by 7, and many nights there were workers there until sundown. Everything was always cleaned up at the end of the day.
We would definitely use Mal again, and would recommend him to friends and neighbors. He is extremely personable, and a great guy to do business with. He even had to deal with me changing my mind about a few items in the beginning of the project and did so without any problem at all.

I would highly recommend them and if I ever need any work done again I will most definitely use them. I can't say enough of how pleased I am. I have had two random strangers stop me outside the house and tell me how nice it looks, as well as the compliments I have received from neighbors.

"Let me first say that I am also a James Hardie Professional. In the absence of any James Hardie Factory representatives inspection any Contractor would have a profit oriented biased incentive to induce the Owners to replace the siding. The siding does not require replacement. By the way, we have not yet seen anything in writing from any of these James Hardie Professionals have we? Nor, from any painters. Now the Owners, once again, have changed their mind from re-painting the garage siding to paint the entire house or perhaps re-side the garage. But, somehow they come up with a number of $7,000.00 for the work. Again, we have seen no paperwork from anyone to validate anything. We have not even been invited to view the work in question. Let us not forget that the siding finish carries a 15 year warranty and is designed to be painted and re-painted. The owners attached three pictures of the house. I also have pictures. I am attaching them to this letter. You will see in the first that the siding color is solid, blemish free, you will see that the trim, (fascia boards,) are smooth as glass. How did they get wavy? Could someone have disturbed them trying to get a job? Or, get some found money? I don’t know. What I do know is that the house looked great when I left it. The pictures prove that, and now there is wavy fascia and disturbed paint on the yard side. We don’t know what the opposite side of the siding looks like as there is no picture to disclose that. Look, is it possible that the paint failed, of course it’s possible. I could have it striped and re-painted for $6 to 700.00 dollars. Is it possible that the fascia on the one gable (out of four) got wavy on its own, perhaps, but, that’s a simple 15 minute fix. The Demand for $7,000.00 is wholly unreasonable and unacceptable. In an effort to bring a fair and reasonable end to this unfortunate dispute I suggest the following. The Owners have lost faith in Professional Home Improvement, Inc. and I Mal Graifman has lost faith in the Owners willing to work together in good faith. In the conversation with Mr. [member name removed] when he said he wanted me to pay the $1,000.00 cost for painting the garage, I agreed to split that. Then he said No, I should pay the entire $1,000.00. Then, He said He miss spoke and he wanted me to eat what he thought was a $2,000.00 outstanding balance. I am disappointed as the Owners are, that things did not work out the way anyone wanted. I am not the villain here and they are certainly no victims. Solely in a gesture of good faith I am willing to go along with [member name removed]’s $2000.00 original after thought. I believe that is what his wife wanted. If accepted I want to be released from any past, present, and future liability in any form. Both Corporate and Personal. I would also insist that there be absolutely no negative remarks made about me, my company, my workmanship, or my workmen to any person, social media outlet, BBB, or anywhere, anyplace anytime. I do apologies for any miss understandings. I am disappointed that we could not work this out face to face. I wish you and your family nothing but good will. By the way, you mentioned that you were investigating gaps above the windows implying shoddy workmanship. Obviously, the work was done correctly. You still have the nicest job in your subdivision. "First of all I want to thank (member name removed) and his wife for giving us thier work. Second, I would like to thank them for a very fair and honest review. It is truly a nice experience to help people with thier home improvement projects and have them feel good about our efforts. For Ken we had a difficult task. We were to match his cedar siding on 4 elevations, removing some boards here and some boards there. Not an easy job. We also had to use the exact same paint that he had used to obtain the closest possible match of color. There was a long wait over a month to get the sample back from the cedar supplier that was going to deliver the pre stained cedar for the job. Since it wasn't a stain they used regularly it took along time to get. I always like to show the homeowner a sample of the pre stained cedar before I order it. In fact it took so long I wasn't sure if I had ordered enough so for good measure, at my expense, I ordered one square (100 sq. ft.) of cedar more that I measured. Then when we were able to get the job started there were also 11 Pella Windows to install, and they took a while to arrive. Finally we started and after the rear wall was completed, it looked better than any of us expected. The color was a dead on match except for looking new and fresh. The window wraps in matching aluminum lower level windows that we replaced with pella's, looked great. But, that made the upstairs window frames which were rotting look horrible. So, at my expense once again I replaced the rotted wood, wrapped the second story windows to add that finishing touch. Now the rear wall looked complete. In fact after we had fulfilled our contractural obligation to the owners there was that extra square of siding left on the ground. So, I told Ken the owner that because he had to wait longer than usual, that I would try and install at no extra charge to him, that siding. He was very happy about that. It is our work ethic to do the best we can to exceed the Owners expectations on the job. When we get a nice review like this, we know we succeded. Thank you (member name removed)! Mal said he was behind schedule and the work did not start on time. He said he had extenuating circumstances. The two men who completed the work, Sam and Gregg, were very competent and efficient. The job went well and looks great. Sam and Gregg cleaned the work area each day and after the job was finished. Sam also installed new outside lights on the garage and house.
I would certainly recommend this outfit.
The men who performed the work on our home were seasoned skilled veterans who work directly for Professional Home Improvement, unlike other siding companies which use sub-contractors to provide labor. It was very clear to see from the start that Professional Home Improvements' employees also care deeply about the quality of their work. The workers were respectful and maintained a very clean work site.
Our job took about a week to complete. When the work was finished Mr. Graifman followed up with me to make sure I was happy with final result. Now our house looks so much better than it did before. The quality of workmanship is clearly evident.
I certainly made the right decision in hiring Professional Home Improvements to repair our home!
