Ibbotson Heating & Air Conditioning Company, located in Arlington Heights, Illinois, is a family-owned and operated heating and cooling business that has served the Northwest Suburban Chicago for over 74 years. Founded in a small barn, located in Mt. Prospect, Illinois, by brothers Ralph and Arthur Ibbotson in 1946, Ibbotson Heating & Air Conditioning Company consisted of one employee and a Chevy station wagon. Second generation partners Ralph Ibbotson Jr., (Son of Ralph Sr.) and the late John R. Kelly (Son-In-Law of Art) took the company and grew it from a small operation to the most dependable and reliable heating and cooling company in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Now Ibbotson Heating and Cooling is in its third generation With Ralph Ibbotson Jr., still a current owner along with partner Rich Okolita (Son-In-Law of John) and Rich's wife Jacqueline (daughter of John) who is installation/sales manager. Ralph’s son, Gregory is the NATE-certified service manager; son-in-law Brian is one of the NATE-certified salesman, daughter Joanna is the accountant, and daughter-in-law Kimberly is the service administrative assistant. Ibbotson Heating & Air Conditioning Company maintains a highly-trained staff of NATE-certified service technicians and is up-to-date on the latest high-efficient air conditioning and heating technologies. Ibbotson's goal is to provide high-quality service and installation. Ibbotson Heating & Air Conditioning Company is proud to be a Lennox Premier Dealer (Lennox’s highest dealer rating). We are also an authorized Carrier dealer providing our customers with many options for their home comfort needs. We pride ourselves in doing the job right.

Everything went very well, and I was fully satisfied with the service performed.  Dino was the technician who serviced my system.  He performed a general inspection, washed the condenser coil, and added 2-lbs of freon.  He was very professional and knowledgeable.  The people I spoke with in the office were also very professional.

We had to replace our AC system. Ibbotson was great! Brian was outstanding. He was always available to answer my questions and concerns. He came to our house several times to look at the issues we were having, and during the installation. The technicians were professional, friendly and got everything on schedule. Everything went as planned. Their pricing was very competitive compared to other estimates I received.  I would recommend them and will continue using them for all our HVAC.

The installer arrived on time and got right down to work.  He was very professional, was very thorough and explained everything he was doing.  He kept the area clean while he worked and even cleaned up parts of the furnace he wasn't there to update.  I would highly recommend Ibbotson Heating to anyone needing furnace maintenance.

Aaron showed up within 30 minutes of me placing a service call. He was very knowledgeable. He was here for about an hour and fixed our boiler.  I will definitely use them in the future (and request Aaron!).

I called for pricing and was able to immediately speak with staff that was knowledgeable on the humidifier we needed replaced. He gave me a couple of pricing options and answered several questions I had regarding the installation procedure, our existing conditions and concerns for future use (our furnace is towards the end of it's life). When I scheduled the work, availability was within a reasonable time.  They stated they would be there at 8 but warned it may be just after due to travel.  The day of installation went exactly as hoped. Two technicians arrived just after 8 am.  They were eager, professional, positive and knowledgeable.  The work was completed within a couple of hours.  They protected the work path well and communicated during the work.  We have white carpet so I appreciated the attention to making sure it didn't get traffic.
Looking forward to working with Ibottson should we have a future heating and cooling need.

Ibbotson technician called before arriving, was pleasant, professional, and helpful. He thoroughly cleaned and inspected my forced-air gas furnace, then checked, cleaned, and replaced filter in my humidifier. Prior to leaving, he spent some time with me, explaining and showing me carefully what he had done and making suggestions about maintaining my equipment. He also included suggestions for future maintenance that were not necessary at this time. This was the type of courteous and professional representation that I want to see from a contractor.

Their price was inline with other estimates and they use good products. They finished the work in 2 days as expected and were very professional. When the inspector came for final inspection he found 2 minor issues (and he was surprised to find anything when he saw who performed the work, saying that they are usually perfect). Ibbotson came back to take care of the two items right away.
