You absolutely DO NOT want to do business with this company! They quote a very high price based on their "we charge by the job, not the hour" model. Then they don't actually do anything close to the value of what they charge. At least with an hourly rate you know what you are paying for. They quoted me $2800 to fix a toilet leaking at the base and 2 leaky sinks, all in the same bathroom. It took the technician about 4 hours to fix the toilet. He then replaced the p-traps that were a little corroded but not the problem. The actual problem is with the water valves, they are corroded and need replacing. They claim that I need to change out the current faucets because they have fixed water supply lines instead of flexible. OK, but then they quoted at least an ADDITIONAL $1000 per faucet to purchase from them and they install, or an ADDITIONAL $500 to install faucets they I don't purchase from them. Unbelievable. I was very generous with requesting only a $2000 refund since even $800 is too much to pay for what they did with the toilet. They don't return calls or emails. Horrible company to deal with. No wonder they get other bad ratings on Yelp and NO 5 star ratings on angi.com. Read other reviews. Again, don't do business with this company!

OVER PRICED!!! I am an estimator/project manager in the building trades for almost 40 years. I know what things cost. I was charge $624.00 to replace a bad GFCI socket and a light switch. They advertise $49.00 to come out and give a quote. The technician did tell me what the price would be before starting the work but the ONLY reason I agreed is that I was in a pinch and did not have the time to call around. He was at my home for 2 hours including the time he had to run to home depot because he did not have everything he needed in his van. This job should have been about $350.00 2 hours non union non licensed technician - $75.00 x 2 = $150.00 parts/Materials - $30.00 and that's generous because the buy in bulk. Service Call = $125.00 15% profit and overhead = $45.00 TOTAL SHOULD HAVE BEEN $350.00 ABC PRICE GOUGES THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!

The tech was very nice however I feel taken. Do your homework in advance. The company will not assist you with warranty and now I know why my capacitor went out and they replaced which takes very little time to do and the part costs around $10. My cost $544. I believe it was $89 for the visit just to come out which is fine and then somewhere around $90 for diagnosis then I guess the rest was for the $10 part.

I hired ABC to fix 1 bathtub faucet at a rental house. Chris showed up and instead of fixing the faucet he walked around the entire house with the teen age kid of the tenant and proceeded to examine every faucet, hose, pipe, and appliance connection inside and out and scared the tenants by telling them (without contacting me) the house needed $10,000 in immediate repairs because the house was unsafe. He even told them I was a slum landlord! I've been in construction 35 years and only hired them because my regular plumber was out for Thanksgiving. My handyman was there to replace a toilet so he witnessed all of this. My regular plumber came later and fixed the pipe for $300. Chris was way out of line and extremely unprofessional. I had told ABC NOT to talk to the tenants who know NOTHING about plumbing but to talk to me only. He COMPLETELY disregarded my instructions and scared the tenants in order to pad his job. I would NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND ABC EVER!! I paid for the $59 service visit and asked Chris to leave ASAP.

The Furnace and AC work great. During the install, the technicians knocked out the plug for the ejection pump in our basement. Our basement ended up with several inches of water due to the ejection pump being unplugged. This caused several thousand dollars worth of damage to our home. ABC refuses to accept responsibility for the damage. According to ABC and their insurance company, West Bend Mutual Insurance, it is not ABCs responsibility.

They were great. As I've said before they were outstanding! I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to get repairs or plumbing done on their homes.

They did a good job and recommended we need to replace our system. We are thinking about it but are using it for now. Every since they came, it is working like it should.

I feel that due to a desperate situation, I was taken advantage of by ABC Electric, Heating and Air conditioning. A plumbing job ended up taking only 3 hours to complete which resulted in a cost of approximately $600 per hour. How can ABC justify charging $600 per hours? I was visiting my elderly parents and needed to handle a plumbing problem for them and get it taken care of right away, while I was there. I had phoned ABC to handle an electrical problem in the house that resulted in a shortage due to a ComEd fixed issue the night before. I’m sure I was over changed for the electrical job too! ABC said that they did plumbing too and I asked for a quote. Water was gushing out of the sump pump pipe as it extended out of the house. The water was washing away the dirt and rock next to the foundation. I felt as if I had to act immediately. Unfortunately, I did not take the time to read reviews and get quotes from three companies and compare them. Had I been able to do that, I would have NEVER hired ABC. The job was attaching a PVC pipe to where the sump pump pipe came out of the house, running it underground, approximately 6-7 feet, and empty into the catch basin. I also asked them to clean out the catch basin. The plumber quoted me $1854 after giving me a senior/veteran discount and $100 off coupon! A few days later, another plumber quoted me over the phone, $800! I filed a formal complaint or what ABC calls a “concern”. When their customer services supervisor, Delaney A., returned my call, I asked her to justify charging approximately $600 per hour for this service. She answered by telling me how good of service ABC provides and that it is to my benefit that they offer fixed pricing. She told me all about the skill and professionalism of their plumbers, how ABC is above and beyond the competition and that they stand 100 plus percent behind their work. She told me that hiring ABC gives customers peace of mind. Well, this work done by ABC is NOT worth $600 plus per hour approximately and I am so upset about this situation that I will never have peace of mind about it. Again, I feel like I was taken advantage of in what I thought to be a desperate situation. ABC said that they could do the job that day and I said, yes. When I saw how simple and straight forward the job was, I realized my huge error in judgement. I should not have panicked and accepted the quote. The plumber did the job but told me that there wasn’t much that he could clean out of the catch basin. He barely filled up one bag. ABC would not even consider crediting me for this portion of the job. Delaney A., the customer service supervisor, told me that because of ABC’s fixed pricing, I would never have been credited for “not removing much” from the catch basin. When I first filed my complaint with ABC, they said, “We are going to get this taken care of and resolve it. We want you to feel good about it.” That is exactly what they DID NOT do.

Called in an emergency with backing up and running all over the laundry room and small bathroom. They sent an initial service guy out within an hour of me calling. A followup guy came shortly later with a rooter and camera so they could see what was going on in the sewer line. They used a 3" auger to open up the line, but they didn't completely clean the line out. In order for them to do this, they would have to come back with a 4" auger and that would run us $600. They also said that the house was settling and in the process, the sewer line was slated more towards the back of the house and water was holding in this area. Also said that the clay drainage pipe in the front yard was being compromised by roots from the Elm tree. They gave me four options which ranged from $8000 all the way up to $19.000. This is quite a large amount of money. Will need to really think about this and explore our options. It was hard to rate this company because they were calling for much more work at a huge expense.

Not well. We are still trying to get them to stop billing us 4 months after cancellation of service.

Not well. My insurance adjuster from State Farm indicated that the invoice from ABC Plumbing was outrageous for what they did. I originally got stuck with a bill for $984. I paid it and was reimbursed by my neighbor. The work took no more 1 1/2-2 hours. The plumber and trainee cut a 3 foot square hole in my neighbors ceiling and spent a nominal amount of time in my unit locating the leak. After calling 2 other licensed plumbing companies, I realized that my neighbor was grossly overcharged.

Beware – After over 10 years of being a customer of ABC plumbing, spending thousands of dollars, and maintaining our monthly membership, ABC has decided they no longer want me as a customer. I called them to fix my sump pump system. They quoted me a very high price, which I knew was a significant premium. While I wasn’t happy about it, they had me in a situation where I need the pump system fixed quickly. The pump system stopped working 48 hours later. Three different plumbers came out over two days and couldn’t fix it. The new pump system had pumped silt/mud into my ejector pipe and clogged it. They quoted me over $1,500 to run a new pipe to solve a problem they created. Again, I wasn’t happy about it, but needed it fixed before the snow melted and rain came. In the process of all this, one of plumbers backed into my basketball hoop (see attached pic). I had hoped I could reach a satisfactory resolution with customer service but could not. They offered me only $250 off the new pipe to solve the problem they created, but no discount on the original installation, and just put me in touch with their insurance company for the basketball hoop. Getting the hoop fixed is now my problem/project. I will never do business with ABC plumbing again and hope I can save anyone reading this a similar expensive and frustrating experience.

I also recently used ABC plumbing to unclog my basement sink. They rodded the line. They charged me approximately $425. This included a senior citizen discount.

They were quick to respond to my request and although they came out and had the wrong information from the front desk, they immediately contacted somebody that could do the work. They came out the next day and did it, which was just fine with me.
