Problem was fixed and it was a joy to deal with Doornbos.

I liked the fact that they were good during the installation process. They were punctual and professional, and the price was reasonable. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

They have been in business for many years, and I knew they were reputable, so I chose them. They came out when they were supposed to and did what they were supposed to; they did an excellent job. Their salesperson was an older man, and he would answer to a question that I did not ask, but I had already made up my mind to use them; I did not feel he was a particularly good salesperson, but I guess they have other salespersons too. I had a few estimates that were lower, but I questioned how the work would be. Their estimate was very good; it was neither the lowest nor the highest. The installers were professional. They also serviced our older air conditioner unit, and that was fine too. I would probably stay with them in the future.

We decided to go with them after seeing the ratings that were in Angie's List. They were very professional and informative. They also kept us in line with what our situation was, like for instance he put the Freon if we ever leak but we don't need to replace anything if the Freon holds. He was looking for the most economical way for us. Everything was fine but nothing was above and beyond.

After 26 years of faithful service we decided it was time to retire our Carrier furnace before the onslaught of yet another Chicago winter. This furnace is only the second one we have had since building our home in 1960, and it has performed flawlessly; thus our decision to buy Carrier again. I did a lot of research on Angie's List and noted several Carrier installers in our area, and the average cost of a similar installation by reading customer reports. I decided to call Doornbos for an estimate first because of their reputation and proximity to our area. Glen arrived the next day and performed a calculation based on our home size, amount of insulation, and other factors. He determined that our present furnace was grossly oversized for our home, which explained some overheating problems we had with the limit switch early on (resulting in much unnecessary ductwork modification). He was very cordial and thoroughly explained several questions I asked. His estimate seemed to be in line with others I had read about. I liked the fact that he didn't "sell" his company, but simply laid out what we would need, and what it would cost, and convinced me that I would be happy with the result. I didn't feel the need to get other estimates, so I ordered a furnace and air conditioner. Vince, Rich, and Jamien arrived five days later to install the units. I can't say enough about the professional manner they exhibited while working in a difficult environment (crawl space). They also reset the location of the furnace to make it easier to service. Their workmanship was outstanding. They put down tarps to protect the floor, and removed the old furnace (no mean feat as the trap door opening is minimal). I highly recommend Doornbos Heating, and would most definitely call them again for my heating and cooling requirements.

It will be hard to tell how wonderful and professional this company is without writing a thesis. I knew of Doornbos from seeing the company in the neighborhood, but had never done business with them, and I was pleased to see their name on Angie's list when looking for service. From start to finish, I was left in awe. In today's world, it is hard to imagine that family owned company's still exist with quality, workmanship and customer satisfaction upper most in mind. Mr. Robert Doornbos greeted me first, with an estimate. After retaining the company, the workmen assigned to the job were wonderful. They were Tom, Vince and Kevin. All were punctual, professional and most importantly, courteous. They all answered every question I asked no matter how ridiculous it sounded. The work was perfomed promptly and efficiently. Mr. Robert Doornbos then returned to oversee and inspect the workmanship at the completion of the installation. I cannot say enough good things about this company and the quality of work that they put out. I could truly have been given the "white glove test" when they were through as testimony to the quality of workmanship produced. The final act of courtesy, professionalism and can I say, kindness, was receiving a hand written thank you note from Mr. Robert Doornbos, thanking me for my business and acknowledging they would be my "trusted and professional" service technician for years to come. All of these things are very important and mean a lot to a female who has to make these type of decisions when a male is not readily available just at the moment needed. Doornbos gave us an estimate in line with one other estimate we received. Installer arrived on time, very professional and clean.

New zones work perfectly. Upper level now very comfortable.

They installed a wireless thermostat and got everything up and running for us. We had another company come out prior to them and they couldn't figure out the problem, but Doornbos found it in no time and had the house nice and warm for us.

I called Doornbos because of their ratings on Angies list and that it is a third generation family business. While talking to them I also identified they are small enough to make sure customer service doesn't suffer. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Contractors who don't answer them willingly may not be your best choice. Glen from Doornbos provided his cell phone # and answered all our questions without hesitation, including those related to his own experience. I'm not easily impressed but feel the quality of their work is what they promised.

Excellent. All work done as promised for the price agreed on. This is the third time we have used this company for replacement of furnaces and air conditioners in the various houses we have lived in.

Mark showed up on-time. Performed the check & cleaning of the furnace(a 24 year old Trane unit). After cleaning it he informed me that it's running good but there was some water damage to the coils from our AC unit. He said to get the AC checked in the spring to find out why water was leaking onto the furnace. Overall he was very informative and we'll be using Doornbos for all future AC/Furnace services. Trustworthy & honest.

Doorbos comes twice yearly, in the Spring to check the air and in the Fall to check the heat. Compared to a similar service we had when living in another city, Doorbos is reasonably priced. Also, they do not have the irritating habit of doing a suggestive sell on every visit. They are also very professional.

THEY CAME OUT AND DID NOT FIND ANYTHING, BUT THE FURNACE STILL DID NOT WORK. THEY CAME BACK AT 11 PM AND FIXED THE PROBLEM. I HAVE HAD THEM DO SEVERAL THINGS. THEY ARE ALWAYS RESPONSIVE, PROFESSIONAL, GIVE EXCELLENT SERVICE, AND HAVE FOR SEVERAL YEARS.

BOB CAME OUT THREE TIMES TO REVIEW AND REDO QUOTES. HE WAS PATIENT AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. I THINK ALSO A LITTLE SHY: HE DIDN''T TALK MUCH ON FIRST VISIT BUT TALKED MORE WITH EACH VISIT. HE WAS ALWAYS VERY HELPFUL.

THEY WERE VERY PUNCTUAL. IT WAS VERY HOT AND CAME OUT 2 DAYS LATER. EXTREMELY PROMPT. 2 GUYS CAME OUT WHO WERE BROTHERS. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THEY WERE JUST GREAT. THEY WERENT THE CHEAPEST ESTIMATE BUT I DID GET A LOT MORE FOR MY MONEY AS FAR AS WARRANTY GOES.
