RKM Heating & Air Conditioning

Anthony and his RKM crew completed this difficult and demanding job with peerless professionalism.  They insured that our new HVAC system complied with California's strict environmental regulations and recommended air scrubbers and charcoal filters be installed after I mentioned my granddaughter's severe asthma (significantly, her respiratory problems have improved markedly over the last couple of months).  After the job was complete, a third party HVAC inspector checked the performance of the system as required by state law and found that it exceeded state requirements.  Several weeks thereafter, we were  contacted by the state environmental health department and a request was made to do a detailed inspection of the installation to insure that the third party inspector had evaluated the performance of the system properly.  The state inspector spent over six hours doing a detailed inspection of every aspect of the HVAC installation which included multiple trips to the attic.  He also used numerous high tech instruments to measure temperature and flow from every single register after blocking others nearby with large shroud-like devices. Since Anthony had relocated a cold air return from the floor to the ceiling for one of the systems and installed a second cold air return in the master bedroom, the state inspector was keenly interested in the resulting air flow dynamics and accordingly, spent extra time assessing the system.  Finally, the state inspector removed several of the newly installed registers to see if they had been sealed properly (he indicated that only the best HVAC techs consistently do so).  When I asked the state inspector whether our HVAC system had been installed properly, he indicated that it was one of the best installation he'd ever seen and went on to comment that his measurements revealed that the system's performance and efficiency exceeded the measurements obtained by the first inspector.  Consequently, I would never entertain the notion of using anyone but RKM to service and maintain our HVAC system.

Our A/C unit wouldn't work and I called RKM. Michael came right out and spent 2 hours diagnosing the problem. The fix required dismantling the entire unit to improve air flow and finding a freon leak. We made an appointment for a couple of days later. Paul and another technician came early in the morning. They worked all day troubleshooting, putting in a new purifier and reassembling the unit. They fixed the leaks and cleaned up everything so it looked like they hadn't been there. Michael came by in the afternoon to help out, check that everything was working, and adjust the registers. It's all working great now.  The technicians were extremely polite and knowledgeable.  I will definitely have them come every six months to maintain it.  

They did a great job. The man that came out was on time and everything was done just fine. We were very happy with his work. I thought that they were very honest and the price was reasonable. I would use them again.
