Kids Can Be Kids Preschool

When we would pick my son up he would often times be switched over to the wrong age group of children. I walked in one time and watched a fist fight occur between two children but no teacher was available to stop it. It always smelled bad and often times I witnessed too many children for one provider. They would have one female provider trying to watch babies, and toddlers. The babies were already overwhelming for her then to add toddlers that wern't really being watched because she had her hands full already.

I started taking my oldest grandson to this daycare when he was 4 weeks old and now his younger brother goes there. My youngest is 3 years old and had never been to a day care before. Some of the same staff still works there after 8 years. This tells me that this is a good center. They are very caring and they have one of the best preschools I have seen. I would highly recommend this child care center to anyone looking for day care or a preschool.

I left a previous preschool/daycre setting due to unsatisfactory care and discord regarding my child. At the time, my mom was here visiting. I gave my mom a list of new preschools/daycares to initially investigate as potential canidates to care/educate my child. She narrowed it down to three that she felt would provide excellent opportunities and care. I also made arrangements to speak with the three selected options but did not make it past Kids Can Be Kids. I was extremely pleased during my visit with the owner, Chris. She listened to my concerns regarding my child. She understood that we (my child and I) were coming from a situation that had not gone well. She listened intently and assured me and my mom that my child would be well cared for as well as nutured so that he could grow acdemically as well as socially. She listened when I explained the skills my son had already gained and reassured us that they would build on those skills. At no time did she disregard what I told her in regards to my childs skills or look at me with disbelief.

When my child first started at this facility, he was anxious and did not want to be left there. He would cry and fuss and cling to me. The person that was working understood and would come over and take charge of the situation so that I could go on to work. We worked together at all times to make the transition very easy. They understood the need for blankies and babies to help soothe and never told me not to bring them. The individuals working with my child worked very hard to make sure that what was brought was placed in my child's cubby so it could be brought home each night. They spoke with me regularly to get ideas to help my child during class time and asked for suggestions to get him to participate in coloring and writing activities (definately not my child's idea of fun). Also, during this intial beginning time, I let Chris know that my child was potty trained but there were still a few accidents at home and there had been several at the previous placement. She, again, reassured me that this was not a problem. After starting here, my child never had another accident at home or at this extremely excellent high-quality daycare/preschool.

It is my belief that Chris, and therefore her staff, truly understand children and will work hard to ensure the success of each child in their care
